Best wishes for a safe Mothers'd day to ya'll out there. A couple of you whom I will not mention have hopefully changed your course and have gotten your better halves something without flanged wheels.
HudsonJohn!!! I'd tease you and say you are older than dirt but then I'd be teasing myself.
Wifey is still getting her beauty rest, so I got up and took care of Maximus, cleaned up the "wreckage" from last night's typhoon visit from the the granddaughters, daughter, and SIL, and am now running the dishwasher. Greatest invention since beer!! Had Mexican take-out last night from a local place called Acapulcos as the girls did not want Chicago style hot dogs from another local eatery called the Scotty Dog. MD brunch reservations for noon in Salisbury MA on the water.
Son got his "pre-owned" Honda Accord after much ado with paperwork and waiting in Registry of Motor Vehicles lines. I was his limo driver for the event. Start to finish burned up 4 hours. Taxachusetts collects the sales tax in cash before they let you register a car you just purchased, and guess who did not have the cash on him......yup, the son. And guess which ATM was broken......yup, the only one at the Registry. And guess who had foresight and had a pocket full of cash to bail the son out minutes before the Registry closed. Yup, me.
Later, gang.

Konnichiwa,
So far it has been a very lovely Mother’s Day. We had Sunday school and church this morning and we will spend the rest of the day relaxing; the wife is having a nap now. I bought the wife a small bamboo-style tree for her Mother’s Day present – it’s what she wanted. I sent my mother flowers as well; I will call her later this evening once it’s safe to presume she is awake. The wife has not decided what she wants for dinner tonight but simply knows she will not have to make it.
I’ll check back in later on tonight.
Sayonara,
Joe
Good Evening All!!!
Had a real busy week at work. Rangers win! the Rangers win!
Had a real nice time with HudsonJohn tonight slammin down some brews at my nieces house. Boy can he drink! He must have put down a dozen Ol Mils tonight.
I've been hearing in our neighborhood a "Nathan Air Chime Horn". Someone installed in their car/truck. Sounds kinda nice. I'll have to check it out.
Took my daughters to the Yankee game this past Thur night and it was cooooold. Nothing like some good warm food at the park though.
Some happy belated birthdays to some members of the pot, sorry I missed them.
Jack - I feel the same way you do about wanting to beat a team at full strength. But years late, who will remember unless you're a fan of the team. Having Mo and Joba out really hurts our bullpen and I was really counting on Michael Pineda this year to be our #2 or #3 pitcher and he's gone for the year. Oh well!
HudsonJohn - ! Today he turned, what John, 64?

Good night all. Back from SIL's. Her hubby cooked steaks. Then we had Keylime pie. Did get to visit Mrs. Edna's today. Looking forward to Monday after dentist apt. Will start Box interior refinishing. Calling for thunder showers but hope we can rush ceiling plywood in between drops.
rtraincollector Finally decided to convert my dash 8 into a tmcc dash 8 have the tmcc part done working on the railsounds now. took a break to eat a lite dinner. ( macaroni shells with tuna and onions and mayonnaise( I make mine dry side wife adds more mayo) Engine coming a long fine already tested it on the small loop its running under tmcc fine. So will have a dash 8 with railsounds 4 done before too long figure about another 30 minutes to wrap everything up. It will make a good engine for my atlas cars to be pulled by. Just wish it was a decent name like NYC instead of NS .

Good evening all,
It was cloudy and mild in SE Indiana today. Oh, that May ended as it began at the track today with SFHR running 1 and 3 on the speed charts. Pulled a Chief today in that I reffed two games, mowed the yard, watched yet another soccer game, edged the yard and cleaned the back porch. A good day. I had two bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast. Got my copy of the Lionel Signature catalog today. That Motor City set looks nice. The minimum radius is the killer. 54" automatically knocks out a 4x8 table possibility. TBIL and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hey Jeff, sounds like good cabbage to me I ordered an O gauge version of that Atlas signal tower you posted the other day. Put in an order with Charlie Ro for the usual - all the halloween stuff except that balloon car thingie, plus the two peanuts halloween cars, that tower, and the halloween station. I have the tmcc version of that 0-4-0 switcher in PRR and it cost the same as the conventional Transylvania one that they are releasing, so I'll skip this one.
Well - got up and goofed off until about 11, then went out and mowed the lawn, son did trimmer. I did do back down in the trees, except where the poison ivy is coming in. Then I went and sprayed all that with round up poison ivy/rough brush killer. Was backing up the hill and stepped in a hole, yanked my hamstring or something - still hurts, but not as badly. I took some Aleve.
TARDIS is ready, and we have Blue Moon on tap, so let's go!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Time for me to call it a night. I'm going to try mowing my parents yard tomorrow weather permitting. If it's allowed to grow much longer I'll be mowing my parents hayfield. See y'all tomorrow.

Went to my parents place for dinner. Cornbread, cabbage, ranch style beans and green onions. Before I left there I stopped by my fathers bathroom and got some Tums tablets. My mothers cabbage is quite spicy, even for me and that's saying something. That stuff could take the tarnish off old silver.

Wow, that was weird. I just wrote it once; hit 'post' and watched the little message saying waiting on cs.trains.com/ etc for a long time. Go figure. Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday. I just went out to get an emergency Mothers Day gift because what I ordered on behalf of the boys hadn't arrived yet. Of course, the box just showed up. . My neighbor when I was growing up had a Shelby Mustang GT350. I got to drive it once.

Godspeed Carroll.....
You guys are way too young........try some of his greatest automotives achievements after he won LeMans as a driver in 1959..........260/289 Shelby Cobra (1962), then his 427 Cobras, factory Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 (1965), Ford Daytona Coupe (1964), Ford GT40 (1966-1967), and the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR (1968?). If it came from Carrol Shelby and/or Shelby American, it whipped the competition at the track, including the very best Europe had to offer. They don't make them like him any more.
HMMMM What did KEV and I do now.
Pat.........Kelly must have nailed him with a stun gun just as he was hitting the "post" button because she heard a rumor she was getting some train stuff for Mothers' day...... KEV and RT are next!!
Went to the flea market today and found a commercial muffin pan for 24 large muffins well its 3/4" to big to fit in my oven.
Of well may cut a little of each end or just keep it and maybe when I get an oven again will make sure its big enough or its a no go oven lol.
we did have fun there at the flea market thou. As we were leaving we heard a train coming thru but didn't get to see it as there was a row of trees blocking it.
Good morning. It's 67° and wet. The high will be 78° and mostly cloudy. There's a 40% chance of falling wet stuff.Still too wet to do anything outside here, especially after the long heavy shower we got a couple of hours ago. I had to wait for the thunderstorms to clear out before getting on the computer. Computer and phone cable service is back up but cable TV is still out. How weird is that? Nothing planned for today except to stay dry.

Aloha. . Cool and grey here. Looks like a quiet day after chores... Missed the TARDIS last night - went out for a quick bite with Kelly after getting home from work. Prepping for Mom's day a bit later.
Konbanwa,
It’s been 12 pages since my last post. I was very busy at work this past week and the schoolwork and family extracurricular activities made it difficult to find time to post. Today was busy as well as we had a baseball game in the morning and yard chores the rest of the day. The baseball team played well and our son had his best game ever. We had leftovers for dinner which I always enjoy. I hope everyone is healing well. I’ll pray for all of us in need.
Laz – Thanks for the video from Minersville. I wonder if the occupants in any of those passing cars were a scared when they heard the whistle.
DJ Spanky – I hope you were able to get the kite in the air. I received the RMT Air Force depressed flatcar set this past Christmas. If they had more Air Force road numbers I would have bought more during this past sale. RMT is having some nice sales recently.
Stourbridge – Congratulations to your niece. I hope she finds something soon; Wichita has a very nice zoo.
Jack – I too keep my grill outside all year and I use it all year round as well. It’s nice to have a proper burger or steak in December or January. Oh, that floating debris is just the Japanese returning it the rightful owners.
Kev – Thanks for posting the video of the new cars. They look fantastic.
Happy Belated Birthday Chuck!
63 going to 75.
No breaking news this morning, we do have our monthly club meet tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing the guys and hope everyone has a great day..S.J.

Good morning. Sunny and beautiful. Not too hot and not to chilly. Low humidity. A great day in the neighborhood. Hope to make it to Mrs. Edna's today. Wifey wants me to transport tiller to SIL's for some yard work. Wifey will not drive my truck. Only four times has she ever driven it. "Too Big!" Then we go back this PM for photos with niece [prom night] and Mothers' Day cookout with MIL, SILs and Wifey. Calling for rain Monday. Good. Wifey wanted to go to lake house for a few. I want to work on Box. Rain means stay home and work on Box.
All have a good one.
Mornin' boys. Pretty in the Mid-Atlantic region. A quick sip before runnin' here, there, and everywhere (that's right, Paul wrote that one). Fifepup has PROM tonight. Middle Princess is home from college. Gonna visit Mom tomorrow.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cool 48 degrees. Sunny. Going up to 78 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will relax. Wife is visiting daughter this weekend, so I am cooking. Peace and quiet is nice.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Chuck
And a Good Morning to you all...
A certainly sunny start to our morning here..high getting all the way to 74F
I'm up and getting stuff already started for the weekly yard sale hunting again..apparently some people in our neighbourhood got it into their noggins that this would be a great start to the yardsale season..hence...up and all energetic here
We had an interesting day in London ON..a child molester/killer will be sent behind bars for the rest of his life for the molestation and murder of Tori Stafford. And, across the street the London Knights put away the Hamilton Ice Dogs for the OHL championship...and a berth at the Memorial Cup....
Well, better get going here..have a good'un!!!
Good night all.
BC, good luck and prayers that the bone scan is OK.

Howdy guys - great weather today in Saint Louis. Most of my buddies were off work today, so I went to Jimmy Johns for lunch and just watched videos on my phone for a half hour. It's amazing how great phones are now - little portable computers with tv shows and stuff!
Hope everyone remembers that Sunday is Mother's Day! Don't want to suffer the fate of RT!
TARDIS is ready, guys, Pat is driving. Let's get going!
