Back from the inlaws from the Superbowl party minus one important person, later on that. For those who didn't see it you missed a real close game.

Jack - You have to admit, both teams played well enough to win. That kept you on the edge of your seat the whole game.

Traindaddy1, Anjdevil2 - NICE!

Now it's time to enjoy the moment and relax.

Night all,

Ray

Turned chilly. Temps might get below freezing. Not sure. Guess that is because the Yanks have sucked all the warm air Nawth due to cheering and cooking their wings.

I had a car like this 45' PS-1 covered hopper back in the 70's that I got from a friend of mine. I believe it to be an AHM/Roco model from the early 60's. AHM dropped it before 1970 due to inflation in Europe raising the price of the unit. Con-Cor announced that it had bought the original tooling from Lilliput of Vienna Austria and brought it back to mint condition. Sitting in a warehouse for nearly 20 years had taken a toll on it. One major improvement was made. It was modified to take body mounted horn hooks or Kadee #5's. My model doesn't have this modification and it's stamped AHM Austria so it has to be one of the early models.

This one has had the Union Pacific name painted over and the L&A logo added.

See y'all tomorrow.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 40s.  Ran the Alaska engine today with gons and flats.  Long weekend.  Too many things going wrong to list.  I hope this week at work goes better than the last two.  Best commercial of the evening was one of the last ones that featured an ABC Supply sticker on ad for NBC Sports.  Pretty cool.  One of the Doritos ads was kind of funny.  The halftime show was booorrrrrringgg.   Did get to watch Man U. tie Chelsea 3-3 after being down 3-0.  Interesting game.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening everyone.  Had church both this morning and tonight.  I was on camera and word has it that the other guy who handles the main floor camera is sick, so it looks like I will be on until further notice.  After morning church, we went out for mexican.  We had one of our friends and her kids with us, her husband is in the army and was supposed to return from South Carolina tonight.  She took the kids all to her house and my bride and I had a few hours to watch a movie on Netflix.

While the Giants are my team from childhood, I really don't mind missing the game.  We have satellite and no network TV, so even though I am home, no interest in watching it.  I know I could have it streamed to the computer, but not worth it.  I have to head in early tomorrow.  While I don't have any cases, I do have some blood work I need to get done.  Has to be fasting, so it is better to do it early.

Hope that everyone has a blessed week ahead.

God Bless,
Dennis

Back from VA.  Went up to check the lake house and see if new frig's ice maker worked.  It does.  Buddy and his son rode up and he got a great Remington 1100 for $250.  A steal.  Neighbor up there had it for sale.

Cold and misty.  Just met the "Cat Women" and made arrangements for the two cats to come to the lease.

Good Morning/Afternoon Boyz & Gurlz.

My what a bunch of Chatty Kathys already. Smile, Wink & Grin

Friday was a long day, early to the museum then they were having a pre-sale of the collections that were donated to the museum. The display & sale didn't start til 6pm so I was pretty dead friday nite, carried over into saturday as well based on how many trips I ended up making to the grocery for todays menu. Didn't see anything that just said Buy Me, especially since I have two engines out for repair and two more yet to go. Bang Head Grumpy

Next friday is going to be even worse. February is "Museum Month" in San Diego so one of the local tv stations is going to feature the Model RR Museum and guess where they want to start, The Toy Train Gallery of course(the SD3Railers). That is pretty cool, except their broadcast starts at 6am. That translates into being there thursday nite to prep the layout & set-up trains for running, then going in at 5:30am so they can get their remote broadcast crew ready to go on air at 6. Black Eye Dead

Not really going to pay much attention to the game, don't really care for either teams, but will watch the commercials and even less interest in halftime. Madonna Ick! gimme a break.

Buckeye, Chief is finally going to be off the carpet on a permanent basis and it looks like you are returning to the carpet. Smile

Time to go get ready for company arrival, later all !

Good morning. It's 45 and mostly cloudy. The high will be 57, cloudy and cooler. There's a 20% chance of showers.

The newly weighted and Kadee converted freight cars will be moved to the paint shop for weathering. They're way to clean considering they range in age from ten to forty some odd years. That's if the weather cooperates as the sealing operation must be done outside. I didn't have the time to get over to Lowe's the other day to get a can of Valspar Clear Flat as I was trying to beat the rain, so I picked up a can of Krylon Matte Finish while I was getting the groceries at Wal-mart. I also got two bottles of Loctite super glue gel whether I needed it or not.

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' English.  Mostly cloudy and 38 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Scale train show in Timonium is a pretty good one, if anyone's thinking of going, and was well attended.  For the most part, prices were reasonable on a lot of tables, as folks are apparently thinning their collections.  This could be one of those good news-bad news indicators, but I hope it spills over to YORK.  Picked up more trees (what else?), as well as two track chart booklets covering Chessie's South Branch Valley (B&O) and Hampshire Subs (WM).

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is 34 degrees and sunny. Going up to 45 today with sunshine.

Today is an easy day. I plan on running trains later. I have a few chores to do and then relax. Maybe I'll watch the Super Bowl and all of the circus that goes with it.  A nap later, of course.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Time for me to call it a night. It's been a busy day starting with a busy morning. I added sheets of lead to to thirteen freight cars with them held in each car with brass screws. I spent an average of four and a half minutes on each car with a gap between cars only long enough to cut a piece of lead sheet, get a couple of screws and pop open the next car. Ten boxcars/reefers, one thrall car, two covered hoppers. I had an audience of one so I did the absolute best I could in as little time as possible.

See y'all tomorrow.

Banks,

I think you were right about us paying for that nice weather.Sad

Buckeye,

You could list on Craigs List.  If the stuff is in rough shape, no problem.  Just photograph the not so bad areas and post those.Smile, Wink & Grin

I took advantage of the nice weather this week and got the Mustang out on my days off.  Did 90 miles the first day, 47 the next, then 116 on Friday.Big Smile

If anyone thinks that lubrication thread for trains can be confusing, try reading threads about what fluid to use in the Tremec TR3650 manual trans for the 05+ Mustang GT.  Ford says one thing, Tremec says something else, and owners all have different opinions.Bang Head
