Buckeyes had so many birthdays I have no idea when it really is. Is someone counting dog years or is Buckeye aging faster than the rest of us?

Good morning. It's 48° and mostly cloudy. The high will be 62°.

Feeling much better this morning. I have a slight headache but that will pass. I have an appointment with the foot doc this afternoon so that's the afternoon pretty much shot. I may be able to get a couple of cars weathered. There's still the question of what to do with the New Haven car. Do I keep it as is or do I strip it and repaint it? I really don't need a New Haven car.

Aloha Paradise. Colder and greyer today. Great news about Char and Jeffrey.

Konbanwa,

I have time for a quick post:

David – You did great looking after Jeffrey.  I'm glad you are familiar with his situation and took the time react.

Jeffrey – I hope you are back to 100% soon.

Brutus – I’m glad to hear the great news about Char.

I’ll pray for all of us in need.

Good morning all.  Got a busy day ahead so will post and run.  Brutus, great news on Char!  Jeffrey, you may want to go see a good endocrinologist to get things straight.  Even if you have seen one in the past, as your body changes, it may be time to make some changes in your treatment.

Well, we got some updated photos and a video on our daughter.  She was walking well and was looking straight into the camera, which is a good sign to her vision ability.  At best, she will be legally blind. This morning, we also got a few photos of our son.  Really looking forward to getting them!

Gotta run.  God bless,

Dennis

HI GUYZ,

JEFF glad to here you are ok.  Good to have a friend like DAVID near.  Take it easy bud.

Not much going on, yesterday put a few switches in on layout.  Wanted to reverse an engine just to put a little spice in the running of trains.  Maybe have a few PILE UPs on Friday?  Stay tuned......

Stay frosty,

David just checked on me. I feel much better. He checked my blood sugar, temp and blood pressure. All are OK. I see the forum is running VERY slow. At least I'm moving faster than something.

Howdy guys - been busy.  Char got the results from her bone marrow biopsy she had while I was in VA, near DC.  Her fibers were original 4+ on a scale of 0 to 4.  They are now down to 1 on a scale of 0 to 4, so that is great news Thumbs Up  The doctor also got all the paperwork through the insurance to keep them and that hospital (SLU) for her continued treatment.  He reduced some of her medicine, so we'll see how she does.

Prayers are out for those in need and congrats to your daughter, Rich.  I'll catch up on the posts tomorrow - just feel worn out today and it's time for bed.  TTFN.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

David, good job on taking care of Jeffrey.  You probably saved his life.

Jeffrey, you are lucky to have such a good friend.  Take care of yourself and hope you are back on your feet soon.  I was just reading your last post this afternoon when you said you felt light headed.  Surprised how fast this thing hit you.  Keep some orange juice handy next time you need it.  Have a good night and looking forward to your next post.

Good evening everyone.  Was coming back to tell about insurance and the adoption update.  Instead, it is more pertinent to talk about Jeff.  For those with diabetes, or those with a loved one having this, you really have to stay on top of things.  Most times, they develope a crisis so fast, they become incompcitated before they can call for help.  It is important to have glucose on hand.  While David had pills, they can be hard to get the person to ingest them.  Perhaps a better thing to have on hand is the glucose gel that comes in a squeeze tube.  This way you don't need the water.  If the person doesn't have big issues with triglycerides, a great thing to have on hand is orange juice.  If the person starts to have the slightest issue where their glucose levels "feel low", they can quickly have a drink of OJ.  OJ is great as the body absorbs it quickly.

Good job Dave.  Watch Jeff and make sure he gets some food down.

God bless,

Dennis

You are so right Dennis, and you can add sugar to the OJ for a bigger blast back.

In the case of my first wife she had no pancreas function at all so she could get violent with the glucose drop as well.
