14 degrees with bright sun but 3" of the white stuff. Won't be above freezing till Monday so I cleaned off the walk and drive. Tonight is our Detroit 3 Railers club meet, always a good time with good company..S.J.

Good morning all getting ready to start the day. Have to log on and get the burn permit. Also need to get ahold of FedEx to send the paperwork to the Chinese Consulate. It is getting more exciting to get close, but we really are looking forward to the day we get the kids!
Bob, glad things are working out. Hope the job works well for you. I recently read a quote "find a job you love, and you will never Work a day in your life". A lot of wisdom in a short piece.
Brutus, glad things are working for Char. Pray she continues with progress.
God bless,
Dennis

Hi GUYZ,
We got about an inch of SNO HI O. CHUCK you musta fired off a .22 short here? To turn colder. Ran trains last nite and had aPILE UP!!!! A minor one I had left a siding open where I had a few flats with trailors on and as my engine came in I throttled down but momentum smashed them pretty good. Flats and trailors all over the place had to bring in HAZMAT to clean up. No injuries though just my eggo. Gonna run some today for a while as I do the laundry down in LAUNDERTOWN.
BOB, did any of those deer have my name printed on its side? Just wondering?
Stay frosty,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a snowy 28 degrees. About 3 inches on the ground and more coming. the snow cannon went off like a shotgun. Going up to 36 today.
Today is an easy day. I have to work on my big desk computer and try to get some new pictures posted. The usual chores come first. A nap is planned for this afternoon.
Dining car is here pulled by a big snow plow and a CSX engine. Beautiful beast. Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Chuck
Bob - sounds like things are working out, how exciting! Please keep us posted!
Chief - sorry for your loss. Our pets are precious - God Bless!
Banks - prayers for the little guy, hope it clears up fast.
Char's doing well today - she can see a lot better, but still waiting for the near-sight to dial in. TARDIS is ready, so let's hit it guys.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
All three dogs out and in. Mirra the wild cat that Wifey tamed has been out and is in. Nedles adopted me. She was already spayed and house broken. I have never been a cat person. Always a dog person. Guess that is how the good Lord taught me something. Now fighting with County Officials to save them.
Turned Yankee cold. Will be down to 20 tomorrow night. Think that will be the coldest we have had all winter.
We have decking on the Box deck [got started at 2 PM]. Replacement Craftsman compressor works great with big nailer. Got ready to do the steps. Going to do steps all the way across the front. That wide, 4 stringers. Builders Discount gave us two 10" ones and two 8" ones. We are using 10" ones. Had to stop. Now go to Wendell tomorrow morning and get them exchanged. Hope to have new Box photos with deck tomorrow.
Hope I am not trying to get sick.
Sleep tight.

Hello all
Finally got caught up on the posts. Couldn't remember where I had got to last Thurs and then last night you guys just keep typing...
Well I am less one vehicle, somewhat "wealthier" due to the sale, found a place to live, and signed the paperwork on the new job. Right now I'll be carrying both places for a bit, until I move and find someone to take over the lease in Tucson. Some financial stress on that but I'm "backed up" for a bit and will just have to hope for the best and turn that one over.
Feels a little strange seeing the empty space for the MG, but it's nice to have that problem dealt with. Next week to focus on the van and now I have some more room in the garage.
Jeffrey - glad to hear you made it through your latest bout ok. David is a true friend. Sounds like a good fix for your electrical problem on the van.
Laz - went down to the big city (Safford) to do some grocery shopping and saw like 6 whitetail on the way back up, and thought of you...
Colin - had one of the early Cummins Dodges. Took me a while to find one w/ a stick. I like to stir my own gears Towed a 38' park model trailer over Hoover Dam twice. It actually was still able to accelerate out of the the canyon bottom and had to step on the brakes for turns. Was like God himself had grabbed hold of the front axle and was pulling me up the hill when the turbo kicked in. And it got 15 mpg WHILE towing that thing. Impressive engines.
The place I found to live is decent and in the right price range and very convenient to work. You guys will love the view!

Good evening folks. Just back from the date with my wife. Never seem to get enough time alone with her. Kids had fun at the church fund raiser( for a mission to Africa). We had some nice dinner and then a nice trip to a coffee house with some friends. Got a call from a friend who wants to bring some brush over to burn in the morning. Will get permit and start early. Lots of trees and brush to send up. With regard to Oliver, there are a number of them around here. Most of them are parked show pieces, but some are still being used on the farms.
Temps are supposed to adjust back to normal this weekend, so it should be quite chilly first thing in the morning. I will have to dig out my long work pants...first time this year. I would much rather have a 70 degree day.
Hello all,
Thanks for the prayers guys. I know nothing more at this point. The teacher in Mrs' room is supposed to keep us updated. I'm hoping no news is good news. If I hear anything I'll let you know.
Chief sorry about your loss.
Oliver. Ours is a 1956 Super 55. (It was devised to compete with the FORD 8N) We've had it for 25+ years. Can't remember what year we did get it. It was our only tractor for many years. We did an engine overhaul, a new clutch, PTO clutch, brakes and a coat of paint. Some other minor stuff as well. It has been a good tractor. Oliver and then White (both now part of the AGCO family) produced the same tractor with different tin well into the 70's. That's one reason parts are pretty easy to get. When we started farming more about 10 years back a Massey Ferguson 245, circa 1980, was added to the fleet and because it sips diesel while the Oliver GULPS gas it became our primary tractor.
I'm off to bed. Son & I are going to haul manure tomorrow if the ground freezes hard enough tonight.
Prayers for those in need

TGIF guys!
Jeff - yeah, sounds like the wiring to the switch in the steering column. It's a PITA to do but not much else that can be done except cutting it off at the pass like you're doing. My second guess would have been the solenoid on the fire wall in the engine compartment.
My bad, it's Car and Driver that has the horsepower articles not Motor Trend.
My '76 Aspen 360 passes everything but the gas stations 350HP 400 lb/ft torque. I built it to pick up and go and it does that real well. The '70 roadrunner is set to do that as well, a tad bit faster and topless.
My dream cars consist of a 1968 Hemi Dart SS/A car, '70 Dodge Daytona Hemi and I'll take that 2013 SRT8 Challenger (purportedly with 600 HP) for grins. Of course no REAL muscle car has a slush box so you'll have to "roll yer own" (3 pedals). The Viper is nice, just don't care for sports cars.
Chief, sorry about needles
Dennis - yup, heavy smoker and drinker.
Banks - for the little one.
Fife - sorry dude...really.
Mom and Dad have safely and securely snuck behind enemy lines and are currently hold up on the Pamlico Coast,,,,
That's all from here, work 9 - 12 tomorrow. Snow in the offing, 1 to 3? we'll see.

Chief, so sorry to hear about Nedles. I've never had a cat myself, but they always seem to sit on my lap wherever I go.

Chief ... Sorry to hear about Nedles. Having met Nedles, I can truly say he was a fine cat. We need an orange cat to go with the black Duesenberg.

Learned to type in 8th grade. It is so easy now to press down on the keys compared to the manual typewriters. I think my old Smith Corona is still downstairs in the basement.

TGIF = Thank God It's Friday.
SNOW = So NO WestVirgina. Well, I'll keep an eye on weather/road reports. Just doesn't look good for visiting my folks. Won't get the chance to get up there for awhile, either. Please aim cannons elsewhere tonight.
BANKS prayer for the little guy, hope it all works out for him. To young to be sick.
CHIEF, sorry for the loss of your cat. I do beleive we will see all those pets of ours some day down the line.
Good evening everyone. Had an early case. Friend's wife is still in the hospital. Had to pick up their kids and will be watching them. Bride and I had been planning on dropping our kids off at the church for a babysitting fundraiser, looks like we will be dropping off a few more. We are going on a date, sushi and a movie.
My neck is killing me, time to medicate. Have to be in decent shape as tomorrow is the "daddy daughter dance". It will be a first and the daughter is really looking forward to it...so am I.
Chief, so sorry to hear about your cat. Pray for comfort for you and miss Pam.
Chief so sorry to hear about needles. You both have my wifes and mine symphony.

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Hello all.
A quick post to ask for prayers.
The little brother of one of Mrs' students is in a bad way. He is in the first grade. Not sure of the details. Seems like he had a minor surgery and it was later determined that there was pneumonia that was masked by the original problem.
Thanks in advance
Chief..........that was sad news. My condolences to both Pam and to you on the sudden loss of Nedels, your cat.
We could learn a lot about life from our cats and dogs. They live for the moment, are loyal through thick and thin, they don't look back over their shoulders commiserating the past, and they don't worry about tomorrow. They go to sleep each night just as they woke up that morning, happy with their surroundings and their people.
ChiefEagles Nedels the orange cat that took up here a couple of years ago [inside outside cat] is no longer with us. Seems she crossed the street [which she never did] and didn't make it back sometime this morning. Started to meeting and there she was. Had never had a cat before. This one made me appreciate cats.

Sorry about Nedels Chief. It is hard to loose a pet, even a cat. When I first retired 3 years ago I lost a indoor cat that was gored to death by a buck when I forced her to go outside and had to put down my 15 year old dog. Since then George the rescue stray has taken over our household and even though he was an outside cat, I kind of worry every time he goes out. Ray, I am soooo good that I am going to sign up for Dancing With The Stars. Kev

Chief, sorry about your orange cat. I had an orange tabby cat once that was killed by either a dog or cayote which I found in the front yard. Miss that one cause he had talent. My son had taught him to do some tricks on cue. We had one other old cat that lasted for about 20 years. No more pets since then. It's hard to lose them.
Got call from heart patient friend this AM. He is home now and doing very well. No visitors though for about another week. He's still trying to get his strenght back but sounded great.
Pat, good to hear from you again. Keep them doggies rolling.
Thinking about making a lift out at least so I can get into my layout room without ducking under. I need to do this anyway but want to do it for my friends sake whenever he is able to come over again. Need to figure out best kind of tool to use for cutting the gaps in the track. I have a dremel but it's hard to make straight vertical cuts without an attachment of some kind. Hack saw is too rough. Only other thing I have is a track saw for HO brass rail. Probably will reroute the wiring under my bridges to the floor and cover with metal plate if I can find one. Something to think about.
later, Ray
