Good evening all,

Chief, sorry to hear about the theft from your property.  I would think the AC/heat guy is probably bonded but I suppose you have to prove who took it to collect.  Looks awfully suspecious though.

I have been worried all day about a friend of mine.  Talked to him yesterday and he was complaining of chest pains when he went walking his dog.  Said he had to take nitro glycerine pills for it and was going to get it checked out.  No answer on his phone all day so I'm assuming that he might have gone in to the ER or something and was kept in the hospital for observation.  I can't get hold of his wife either so she is probably with him.  Sure hope everything is OK.  I need every friend I have left.

My #2 son is returning home from Daytona tonight after being gone for 4 days.  Probably will arrive hungry since the airlines don't feed you anymore except maybe first class.  His Eastbound flight was no change of plane but one stop enroute so no chance for food in that direction either.  I think  If I got a flight like that, I would bring a lunch.  Flying has gone to @#%@% along with a lot of other stuff.

Went to train meet on Sunday.  Lots of stuff in the auction and on tables.  Good turnout.

Good night all,

Ray

Wow this forum is really getting slow.  I think it is all the bull ---- that Buckeye is loading on here. Laugh

SP, A/C guy came after this happened.  Was discovered but had to go to lake house and make sure I had not taken them up there.  Targeted two items but left others that couldhave been easily taken too.

Now hear this:  The email badgering had better stop.  I come home and find a bunch of crapy emails.  We are all brothers and we may not agree but we are brothers.  Now badgering gets under my skin.

Busy evening with reception and meeting.  Now for dinner.  Yes, this late.

BTW: Rolesville PD ran down a dirt biker who has been riding on sidewalks and etc.  He wrecked in the chase.  He ran and Officer caught him.  He tried to fight and got the worse end of the deal.  Then said he wass new here and did not know he could not ride on sidewalks and ride with no helment.  Yankee of course. Chief - dang, hope your stuff turns up again, that stinks!

Mike - hope you get your innards sorted.  Mine have been messed up since last Wednesday and I think it was something in the food that my system doesn't like.  I know shortening and some other things I have to avoid, so maybe it was in disguise or something....  You never know, and in a all included place like that training center, you get what they serve you.  It seemed tastey for the most part - Sad  This should pass soon now (I hope)!

Found the key to the banilla locker, so we'll stop and roust SJ out of his house and make him drive again - he can do loop-d-loops, cause they can't hurt me worse now Laugh

PS - Kev, hope your foot is better soon.

PPS - Nice video Joe!

PPPS - Buckeye Laugh

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

KRM

I have given up on the self-healing hope for my foot and am going to the foot Dr. tomorrow to see what the heck is wrong. I can barley walk and the top of the foot is bruised and it feels like it was run over by a truck. Twice the size of the left foot.  Angry

I hope your foot turns out better than mine. It's a foot only in the fact it has 5 toes, otherwise it's not recognizable as a foot as it's twisted up sideways and fully up on the outside edge. When I stand I'm literally standing on the end my shin bone. If I could feel it it would likely hurt like hell. Fortunately I can't feel it. You folks with good feet, you don't know how good you have it.

Prayers and best wishes for you my friend.

Sunny and in the 50's and 60's the last couple of days.

I've pulled the trigger on one of my Lionel bucket list items - a N&W J Class.  This one in the form of the PWC N&W Space Freight set issued in 2006.  Just waiting for the brown truck now.  Found a deal on one that was not much more than what the locomotives alone have been going for lately.

Prayers for healing, jobs and missing stuff.

All for now.

Kevin - good luck with the foot dr.

Jeffrey - you got right to those F units - looking good! Sorry about your feet.

Don - missed your post?

Long day at w**k today. Ugh. Overloaded again.

Have a great day tomorrow all!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is a mild 48 degrees. No rain. Going up to 55 today. Maybe sunshine.

I'm up early today. I have a lot on my mind. Need to run an errand and do the usual chores. I will make a few phone calls on business. A nap, later, will be needed. Getting ready to make a decision on whether to move or not.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning. It's 56° and cloudy. The high will be 73° and there's a 30% chance of getting wet.

Not much going on this morning. I have an appointment with the foot doc so I'll be leaving within the hour.

Well yesterday the Air Force put in an appearance on the layout and got shuffled right into the paint shop. Before they quite knew what was happening their prize F2-A loco was taped off and and tagged with the L&A logo and it's crew booted out onto the street with bus fare. The Air Force F2 now belongs to the L&A seeing as it was sold to the line.

Aloha Paradise. Supposed to flirt with 60 today. Love it! Bought my wife a new chair last night. Got it all the way home and found it's missing parts.  Sigh. Charlie, sending you some sun I packed it up last night.  Jeffrey, nice patch jobs. My personal real-world favorite was a UPY GP20 in Rio Grande's Orange and Black scheme in our local yard years ago... Almost as good as UPW MP15s in MILW Orange in Chicago's North Ave. yard I pass every workday.  Brutus, hope you're feeling better.  Kev, we had an earthquake last night! Only 2.4 but now I feel like our left-coastians!  Those skulls found by the side of the road were real but educational tools. Someone's idea of a joke.  Doug, we're just a few blocks from the G8/Nato summit sites. We're canceling everything after-hours so far and may even post-pone classes.

Good Morning CTTFans!

It's 26F and Sunny here at Mile High with a hit if snow maybe coming Thursday.  It's been so warm this year that the trees are starting to bud out and the Iris are coming up.  The grass never truly went dormat and is starting to green up.  It's still January right???

Konbanwa,

I have time for a very quick post before heading off to bed.  Thanks for all the comments on the video.  We ran the trains again for a short while after dinner.  I spent about two hours downloading some new music to my iPod shuffle; it should not have taken so long but I am not an Apple person.  I'll be praying for all of us.

Jeffrey - I was going to compliment your Air Force F2 until that other lettering showed up on it.  Why did you go and ruin that wonderful blue paint job? Smile, Wink & Grin

Good late morning all.  Had to work all day yesterday and got called back last night. Glad they let me sleep in.  DougM, thanks, my back is feeling better.  Funny thing, once I stood in position behind the camera, my legs and back got numb.  That lasted to the end of service and when I tried to move, all the pain hits at once.  I looked like I was well past my prime and would need assistance.

DougNAG, I have a K-line Mikado with TMCC, would those instructions help?  Let me know.

Chief, sorry to hear of the theft.  Hope you are able to get the items back.

Bob, that is a great office, they going to let you drive it home to use on the weekends to make some side money?  Just kidding, I am sure you would not want to drive it too far, and I wouldn't press my luck about using the equipment off work.

Rich, most of the relief Association stuff, would go through the union bosses.  We had a great guy as president of the NJIAFF who was on the job at HFD, but he died last year LODD.  My dad retired from a volunteer dept and I have the instructions on his death benefits, I believe they are 9,000.00.  But nothing else.  If you have a specific need, email me and I will try to contact some folks to get the wheels turning.

Wife is packaging up some gifts to send to the kids we are adopting.  It can be both a thrill and frustrating in having to wait for two countries' governments to deal with.  Believe it or not, China is easier to work with than our own county for many of the items.

Well, gotta run.  Have a Blessed day!

Dennis
