HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL

Hope it is a happy and prosperous 2012.

Didn't go to the lake house.  Got all those Christmas decorations front and back packed up and stored.  We were going to do that Tuesday but the high is suppose to be a Yankee 37 degrees.  High today was 62 and the high tomorrow is supose to be 65.  Then the Yankee invasion of cold winds.  Then Wifey got sick [throwing up].  We see as time goes by.

Sleep tight.

BTW: 2012 is the 175th Anniversary of Rolesville.  January 18th.

Good morning all,

It is cloudy and still mild in SE Indiana.  Happy New Year!  Hope Mrs. Chief gets well soon.  Had a nice visit with friends and stayed long enough to watch the ball drop.  I hope everyone has a good year!

Keep on training,

Happy New Year everyone!

Had a great time at the inlaws as everyone was there. Had 0 Beer, just some wine and champagne. We were the last to leave, after 1:00, and stayed to clean up as they have a hard time doing everything by themselves.

Chief - Hope the misses feels better soon.

Later,

Happy New Year!

I was the first from the Pot to celebrate the New Year; however, I was working on a school paper when it struck 12 here.  Yes, we had an earthquake today; it was about 200 miles from us.  It was a good one as the wife and I could feel it when we were having a nap today after church.  I'm making dinner now: grilled pork chops, roasted potatoes, and sauerkraut.  For some reason, my mom always made pork and sauerkraut on New Year's Day for good luck.  I believe it is a Pennsylvania Dutch (German) tradition.

Dougdagrump - Thanks for the PM.

I hope everyone and their wives feel better and enjoy the day.

Sayonara,

Joe

Happy New Year to all you folks.

Super mild winter so far in Central Ohio, no snow and no ice.  Great weather for hiking the Metro Trails around Central Ohio.

It is a cloudy 30 degrees. Going up to 42 today.

Mornin' boys, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.  Trying to type  with left hand, as Fifepops is holding a hiccupping 2 month old with the right.  Little guy kept Wifeyma-ma up most of night, so his parents  could go out.  She and I celebrated earlier with dinner at Outback.

Big football day today.  If our RAVENS win, they could dominate the AFC.  Lose today and sticka fork in 'em.

Morning everyone, and happy new year!  Joe, thought about you when I heard about the earthquake.  We had a quiet night, no one stayed up till midnight, though there were plenty of folks shooting off fireworks and perhaps shotguns?  Wife was sitting next to me on the couch this morning and said "I'm hungry, I need breakfast", to which daughter replied" I need to goto the mall".  What's with that?  How early does that shopping gene kick in?

Anyway, hoping to pick up some layout figures and structures to get some of those projects done.  Well, we have church a bit later than usual today.  No Sunday school, so we will still get done in time for lunch.  Got a little present in a sense in that we got a few more photos of the boy we are adopting.  The little girl is still at the orphanage and they do not have more photos available.  We may get some updates, but they are not expected.  It is all a waiting game now.

May you each be blessed in the week and year ahead.

Dennis

Happy New Year All!

It is a beautiful, quiet new years morning here on the mountain. We are open and ready to start collecting photons, just waiting for the observers source to rise.

Will be by myself until tomorrow evening, so it will be an even quieter few days than it usually is.

Found some more good used books on the Barnes and Noble site. I've  gotten some pretty cool books @ great prices recently from some of their used book sellers.

Hope everyone has a great day

Bob

P.S. Time to see what's for breakfast on the dining car and send it to points west. Doug, Don, and Ray she'll be coming soon!

Hi GUYZ,

TANKs for all DA BIRTDAY greetings, I feelEmbarrassed.  Today I become a SENIOR CITIZEN?  I am 55!  WOW, time flies.  Oh well at least I'll get the senior citizen discount at the super market on Wednesdays.

Went out with the Flintlock yesterday with BRO.  At about 500PM all the deer came out of the woods into the field about 50 yrds away.  I was in the woods.  14 of them there and because of cloud cover I couldn't see mt front site.  I waited hoping they would get closer instead they got out about 80 yrds and with the impending nitefall, I unloaded the gun into the ground and scared the daylights out of the deer.  The field had about 14 whilst the woods came alive with the shot and deer ran all over the place.  Neat scene but nothing to show for.  Oh well maybe Monday?  Came home cleaned gun and had nice evening with BRO and Wife.  Fell asleep at 1130.  Oh yea, played trains for an hour NO PILE UPs!!!

JOE D, shake it baby but don't break it.  Hope you are fine buddy.

FIFE,Embarrassed, thanks BUDDY.  I feel warm alll over.

BUCKEYE and CHUCK, hope YUZ GUYZ are ok too, heard YUZ were shaking in O HI O.

Stay frosty,

Happy New Year 2012 to all!

Beautiful day here.  Should be nice for the Rose Parade tomorrow.

Chief, glad to hear that Mrs. Chief is doing better.  You're right!  Everybody knows you are suppose to have black eyed peas and ham on New Years, at least in the South.  Got mine ready to go today.

Happy birthday Laz Happy B-DayHappy B-DayCake How clever of you to have it on January 1st.  You better get a real gun if you want to get one of those deer.

V8 Dennis, sorry about your denture problem, seems like they always break on a weekend or holiday or both.  Good luck.

Happy New Year all!

My brother and his family just left and I just got back from a 4 car MVA just north of NJTP Exit 8.  We packaged 2 victims for transport with minor injuries.

Still in the 50's now.

Finally got off my butt and went to a party hosted by one of my sister's friends.  Stayed until 0100 and got home and crashed by 0200.  I had 1 shot of peppermint schnapps at midnight.

We had a brunch/anti-pasta tray about noon.  Princess has since slept on the couch and I may just follow suit.

Giant/'Boys at 8 pm...sorry Roy, you know where my loyalties are at....

Wow, twice in one day.

Havn't been avoiding all you guys, this working part time has been somewhat demanding.  Just got off for today, don't go back again till Wednesday, then Thursday and Sunday.  (BTW the park has been offering free admission for fire fighters, and law enforcement plus 1 guest for the month of Dec and Jan.)

Submitting a transfer request out of the "traffic" section to the "Railroad", looking forward to becoming an "Engineer/Fireman" on the trains in the park.  (May regret it when the summer comes, but sounds like it would be fun.

This year we had an automotive Christmas, had the transmission go out in our van the week of Christmas, then the "Electronic Idle module goes out in the Buick.  So over $2500 in repairs.

Had a GREAT day on Friday, Chris took us on a tour of the Mohave Desert where he has been going on field trips and mapping various areas.  Took us to some dormant volcanoes, a couple of huge craters, saw Volcano Tubes, a number of mines, and some salt flats.  Went through Kelso, which was a major service location during WWII for trains going to LA from the northern states.  The depot has been completely restored and is awesome!  Now it is a lunch diner and museum.  Was really a great day, and very educational as well as interesting.

As Dennis said the weather is beautiful here today, up to 79/80, have had quite a bit of fog overnight the last couple of days, sure seems like summer.  The local skiing resorts aren't doing to well, but that should change in about 10 days to two weeks.

Will talk to you all later, Hope everyone enjoys the weekend and be safe and stay well !!
