Good evening all,

It is cloudy and cool in SE Indiana.  Shohio missed us for the most part.  Had a good day today with the family.  "Saucy Wench" liked her present, which was a relief.  Everybody had a good time.  Lots of food for all.  I had streusel on the dining car for breakfast.  TBIL and I can drive.  The next crew is due in tomorrow evening.  I got an e-mail from my Norwegian soccer friend, and that always puts a grin on my face.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Chief its a little confusing here how much as they say tonight 1-3 inches and then for tomorrow its says  snow in the morning tapering off to flurries in the early afternoon 1-3 inches so don't know to take it as total 1"-3" or total of 2" - 6"

Don't bother me thou as I know how to drive in it just have to watch out for the rest down here that don't. At least most of the way to and from work is interstate so that will at least be plowed and sanded.

Well not a lot going on tonight still feel its been a good Christmas and so does the wife. thats what counts I guess. we feel blessed to have what we have and thank-full for our health and all.

talk to you all later hope all had a Good day

SNOW now sticking to the ground.  Still saying 5 to 10 inches by tomorrow night.

Now on the NS ABA units.  I put a want to buy on OGR.  Got prices of $2,000 to $4,000.  I laughed.  Now if you notice your newer CTT, Williams is reproducing them for around $390.  Buy an ERR kit and upgrade and I can save money.

LAZ, that was a steal at your price.  Wish I could find a set at that price.

Jesse Stone movie coming on at 8.

Later.

Evening all

Merry Christmas!  Grandkids had a great Christmas.  They are playing with toys.  The services were fantastic yesterday and today.  It is time for a nap.

May God bless

Merry Christmas, all.

Yup.  It is a white one here.  In the 20's and cloudy.

Quiet day here with just my wife and I.  We went to the candle light service last night and slept in this morning.  Our Christmas dinner was at a local cajun resturant - she had crab legs, I had red beans & rice and fried catfish.  Enjoying Christmas programming on the TV.  One of the KC stations had a show that consisted of one or two songs by choirs from a lot of the local high schools - really enjoyable.

All for now.

Merry Christmas Laz, couldn't help taking notice of your comments about the new Railking NS executive F units.  The price sounds pretty good.  Maybe Justrains has them for a good price too.  I wouldn't mind having a set but I just purchased a Southern PS4 Crescent steam engine and haven't digested that yet.  Are these units scale size or would they be like the Lionel PW F units?  I run DCS so probably would go this way instead of WBB.  Have fun,

Ray (SPMan)

Happy Merry Christmas Eve,YUZ GUYZ,

Went down to Barrys Train Shop to take in BB for repairs and wasn't going to get anything.  But Barry made a trip to MTH and low and behold my MTH NORFOLF SOUTHERN Railking F# ABAs were there.  WOW what a pretty paint scheme and at a great price of 390 bucks.  Couldn't afford the DAP NS but this is perfect.  When I get DCS hooked up maybe this week I will take some picks.  Also BARRY had the new SNOW GLOBE Christmas gondolas there so I got one.  This is a great car all powered with track power no batteries.  Put on track it has 2 switches one for the snow globe and the other for Chirstmas music.  Thats right it can work with one or the other independently or together.  Neat car Barry has a bunch of em, wife loves it.  He also has the trackmobiles and MIKE there fired one up for me, real cool but I didn't buy one.  After BARRYs spent about 1.5 hrs there went and got wife her gift, bought king crabs came home had nice dinner then ran trains.  All ok NO PILE UPs.  Gotta do some figuring on a block system to isolate two tracks gonna scratch my head on this one.

SIR JAMES and CHARLIE, WOW nice layout and bet good fun.  Wish I was a fly on the wall, naw YUZ GUYZ would have smacked me.

PROBE, a football for DOUG M.  Would you trust him with a Red Rider BB Gun with compass in the stock, clangin Ducks on the wing with spectacular hip shots....

CHUCK & BUCKEYE TGIF.  Get that snow cannon ready for DA CAROLINAS.  Heard SANTAs bringing some Anthracite down there?

All B safe and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all from

Morning all.  The Yankees from up Nawth are sending cold air.  Now the Yankees from the mid west are sending more cold air.  The Carpetbaggger in SC is sending moisture.  What does that means.  A big SNHIO attack.  Could get up to 10" by Sunday afternoon.  Us poor REBS are lighting our camp fires to try and warm the air.  This would limit the amount of snohio.  Someone yesterday commented that this will be the third weekend in a row we have had snohio.  I am sending coal and switches to all Yankees for their Christmas presents.

Santa was great here.  All got lots of presents from Santa including sissy kitty [got a toy with catnip].  Hope all are having a great and safe Christmas [Including the Yanks, after all it is Christmas].

Staying warm and watching TV.

God bless.

Merry Christmas all, pretty quiet in our neighborhood this morning.  I remember when I was a kid we would all be out on Christmas morning going to each others house to see who got what and trying out new bikes etc.  Today with all the electronic junk, everyone must be inside.

Went to early evening mass last night and grandson played Joseph in the Christmas story.  We had dinner with friends after that at their home.  Husband did the cooking as wife has health issues.  It turned out very well and enjoyed by all.  Today our kids are coming over with grandson for Christmas dinner of Ham and all the trimmings.

Hope you all have a wonderful day with your families.

Peace be with you all,

Ray

A very Merry Christmas to everyone, life is good in the Heartlands.  Had to spend about 3 hours yesterday keeping our steep gravel driveway open so the kids could all get up and unloaded.  It wasn't bad but just as I would finish with the ATV/blade I would have to start over, our 2 1/2" snow ended up to be about 6" -- all of that happened in the morning yesterday.

Sure good to have everyone here for two nights, wish it could happen more often and play with the trains.  The Polar Express is a big hit and the new Tin Plate from last Christmas was just beautiful in the 4 Season Room -- I really like that Tin Plate style.

Best to everyone!

Aloha. I see by the NORAD tracker that Santa is working his way up the coast. Visiting Fife outside Baltimore. Hope he was good. Wow, 1,615,534,437 gifts delivered so far. Puts UPS to shame. Youngest is in bed but vibrating like a tuning fork he's so excited about Mr. C, so I'll be up a bit longer until he goes down, as the presents are in a closet right outside his bedroom. Um. Uh, what I meant is I have to wait until Santa comes down the chimney.  Merry Christmas to all... and to all a good night!

Evenin' All From Okefenokee Swamp West, In Fungus Corners.

To much to do today in prep for tomorrow so wasn't able to tackle mud clogged yard drains today. As luck would have it a string of lights chose today to bomb-out and you guessed it, lights are as scarce as hen's teeth. Everybody is sold out, but did find some el-cheapos at the drugstore.

Waiting for turkey brine to cool down so he can take his soak tonight, pork tenderloin in his marinade for the night, pies are done and next on my "to do list" is bacon & cheese deviled eggs. Chef Wanted to grill some olive oil & garlic asparagas tomorrow but that stuff is priced outrageously. Thumbs Down

Sunday and Monday are "Kid's Club Fun Runs", sure hope the weather guessers are wrong on the potential rain amounts coming our way tomorrow nite thru sunday nite monday morning. Sigh

Hope all have a joyous day with family & friends tomorrow. Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Good evening everyone.  Has been a long couple of days....Fife, your words are well spoken....on several fronts they are apropo.  Got called in for an emergency case yesterday, finished at 11pm.  Got called back in at 0330 and finished about 0730 this morning.  Was present to see someone pass away and worked on others to keep them going.  Was a hard day for me, but I think of how hard it was for these people and their families.  And, I get on the computer tonight to see that one of our local county police officers was killed in the line of duty.  Shot by some thug...they got him, and while he is in a jail with three meals and a roof over his head, the cop leaves a widow and two kids behind.

I am still sick as is my daughter.  Wife and son are fine.  We had a great after noon as the power went out and so the day was spent with a fire in the fireplace, board games and reading and playing as a family.  These times without the TV can be much appreciated.  I hope that each of you has a very Merry Christmas and that we all remember what it is really about.

God Bless,
Dennis

MerryChristmas!

Good morning all, we are drying out and enjoying the sunshine today.  My old 1987 Buick that is a back up car leaks and I forgot to cover it during the rain.  sponged out a lot f water from floor this morning and opened all the windows to air out.  I need to put car cover on before next rain on Sunday.

I would like to wish all of you guys on the forum a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I have enjoyed sharing all our trials and tribulations over the year.  You are all top notch people.

Going to special Mass early this evening to see grandson in a Christmas Play.  Don't know what part he has this year so I will be surprised.  Following that, we have been invited to Christmas eve dinner with friends.

Good luck with the snow back East and Merry Christmas to all,

Good afternoon all,

It is the lull before the Snohio hits.  I want to wish each and everyone here on the pot a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  If weather permits, we will have a house full the next two or three days.  It will be interesting.  All the presents are wrapped and the turkey is in the oven.  I had a variety of food items on the dining car for breakfast.  TBIL anytime tonight and I can drive a course that will provide escort for Santa while he is in the states.  The bonus for that is we get any leftover treats the kids leave out.  Ho-ho-ho!  I hope everyone has a good day!

Keep on training,

laz -  I am very envious.  You got those NS OCS engines.  I've seen the real ones up close, and they are gorgeous (former B&O).  Time to start a Coffee Pot Engine Excahange. IdeaCool.

FIFE,

The NS OCS came right past WAYNEs Tavern here in Millersburg.  I was sitting at my stool about 50 feet from them when they came up.  I knew it was something different by the sound of the horn, both me and BRO would have taken off after them but somebody would have stole our seats and beers.

I'll loan em to ya, they are done nice.
