Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps and humidity lower. Wild day in racing as JPM messed up another Brickyard, Helio had one blcak-flagged from him, and Ferrari issued "team orders". Does anybody know how to race any more? Vitor salvaged a horrible day for AJ's team and stayed 12th in points, and the "Swiss MIss" was booted out of a top 10 finish while the Princess cruised again. Long, long day. I had english muffins with cereal on the dining car for breakfast. TBIL anytime. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Good morning everyone. Took day off as we are getting to the roll-over date at the hospital. Have a few weeks of vacation left, but will sell back a few and then bring a couple to next year. Going to spend some the day at the dentist as I have a couple of cracked teeth that will require crowns, and then it is off to the hardware store for a few items. Perhaps a little train time later. Well, kids fed, prayers said, and bible read. Time to get going.
God Bless,Dennis

Chief ... just caught up and read the posts ... God Bless ya buddy ... I'm not there with my hand on your shoulder physically ... but I am spiritually buddy . Your old buddy in Maryland is grieving for you here ...
Morning all.
Continued prayers for the Chief and his family.
Had a busy weekend. Saw two movies. "Salt" is OK - but it is one of those "shakey" camera movies where the intent is to make you think you are in the action. It does not work for me and is very distracting - plus a lot of out of focus elements (maybe my bifocals). The "Sorcerer's Apprentice" is excellent, and no four letter foul words - what a concept - good entertainment and no bad language - and it was in focus and the camera was not shaking all the time (so maybe the bifocals are not the problem) - the sequence reprising the dance of the mops from the cartoon is very well done.
Went and saw the Rascal Flatts concert Sat night. Very good show. But it was at one of these new stadiums where they dish it out below grade so guess what? - no breeze - and at 10 pm it was HOT. Plenty of liquid refreshments were available.
Scattered storms here today.
Headed to Houston for the next 7 days for business and a trade show. Posting may be sporadic.
Have a great day all!
Regards, Roy

Frank.....please accept my belated but sincerest condolences on the loss of your Mom. God bless her, you, and your family. I pray that despite the sadness and emptiness you must be feeling you can take solace in that your Mom has gained her eternal peace, leaving behind a world that is a better place for the long and beautiful life that she lived and shared with all who knew her. We're with you, buddy.
Jack.

Good afternoon all,
Today is pretty comfortable weather wise, and there is a chance of showers. The K-Line "It's a Boy" boxcar arrived today. I slapped on the sticker with my son's birth information and took it for a spin around the layout. I will attach a photo on the car later this week and hopefully post some photos this Sunday. I wasn't back into trains when I had my other two children, so I need to order another boy one and an "It's a Girl" version as well.
The wife is having a much needed nap. She took the baby for a check up this morning. He now weighs 8 lbs, 11 oz; a 25% increase since his last weigh in two weeks ago. He is doing very well.
Time to occupy the older two with a game of Uno.
Joe

Back to Saint Louis from Harrisonville (near KC). Rode the Amtrak from Lee's Summit to Kirkwood. Folks picked me up and we had a nice late lunch at Mike Duffy's, too. Off tomorrow with plans to do some work around the house while the rest of the family is away for a couple days.
Tardis will be ready later. guys.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
PS - read the new CTT today on the ride home and a BIG CONGRATS out to our own Roger Bielen! Nice Layout, Rog!!!
Evenin' boys.
Chief - Right here for you. Wish I could be right there for you.
After getting caught up the past 3 pages, I can sincerely and honestly say what a special bunch of guys you all are. Gentlemen, it's an honor.
Good Evening All
A great summer day, just enjoyed it till the sun went down. Banilla is ready and my Lionel beacon is turning so Brutus swing on by......S.J.
Come get me, boys. I could use the break, and the Banilla too!
Jack
Good evening all,
Just a quick post before I retire for the night.
Sir James - I forgot to mention in my previous post that I was jealous of your White Castle feast. I have not eaten there in years, and there aren't any located out this way. Also, please excuse my ignorance, but what is Banilla?
Good night,
Well today was a bit better of a day got a few things done around the house and finished painting the suspension pieces for the corvair. Bushings get pressed in at my friends place tomorrow. Started taking apart the rear wheel cylinders as well. Took the brake backing plates off the e-brake cables. There's nothing back except a few cables and wires hanging. Parts should start to go back on on Wednesday.
Well the Jeep capped off my evening by the oil gauge going to nothing. I'm think it's just a bad sensor, there's plenty of oil pumping up on the rockers. Not what I needed this week. Will put a manual gauge on it in the morning and check out the sensor. I guess better now than when I first start to drive next week after the surgery.

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s and maybe some rain sometime today. Good day at work yesterday. Took it easy last night. Did cool off enough to run the 10E for a little bit. Again, very relaxing. The "saucy wench" got up early to make bacon and biscuits for me on the dining car for breakfast before it went to "Points East". TBIL anytime. Soccer tourney starts Wednesday for my league. I hope everyone has a good day.
Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. Off down east to funeral. God bless.
[software must have gone crazy, keeps moving post down???? Copy, delete and paste to move it up,]
It is a nice, sunny 62 degrees. Humidity went down a lot. Going up to 82 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I am a little stiff and achy from PT yesterday. Need to walk it off and loosen up. I have a few chores to do and then I will do something relaxing. Run trains. I want to order myself a new car and can't decide which one. It will be a Williams from Marty. Maybe a covered hopper Or a reefer. Hmmmm.....
Dining car just rolled in from "Points East" and we will have a Cheerios breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Morning All
Tired, I was finishing concrete till 11:30 last night. Need another cup of coffee.
Good morning everyone. Chief, thoughts are with you at this time.....know you have a tough time ahead. Also know that the issues your mom had were tough on her and those who love her. May God bring His peace and comfort to you and your family.
Heading into work. Hope it is a short day as I have some things on the list I have to get to. One big case to get done (providing some emergency doesn't pop up). Check in later.
Morning Guys,
Chief -
Long weekend. Sat. night took the Princess, her male friend and the Mrs to Maggiano's for dinner and dessert at Kilwins.
Sunday started disassembling the train room, got melancoly and the Mrs and I went to St. Augustine on the HD. I made dinner then we took a moonlit ride to Jax Beach. Sat on the beach and talked.
Monday still removing the train table, made dinner and Princess and I saw Toy Story 3 last night. Then at midnight, removed the Celotex from the table. I'm almost done there.
Today, looks like work on 2 cars, Mrs wants to meet at the court house to finalize the divorce. I have a truck scheduled for 5:30 pm tomorrow, I have to have the truck at the NJ depot by 5:00 Monday night.
Have a great day guys! We'll catch up later!
Good Mornin' Ya'll From Sunny and Seasonable Taxachusetts,
My wife and I lost a dear friend Evelyn this morning, suddenly and without warning. In her honor, I have changed my avatar to a picture of her doing what she loved, just nine days ago, competing with her Dobermans and doing therapy work with them at local rest homes and rehabilitation centers. She was a woman for others, just the way she was. She was only 78 and in the pink of health, more active than folks decades her junior. Energy to burn and a zest for life. And just nine days ago we were up at her place in Maine celebrating. Now she is gone. A nicer and more caring, giving person you couldn't find. So as I sit here pondering all of the "WHYs," I find myself without words. Except these....grab your loved ones and hold them close. Throw out the petty resentments and take on the bigger picture. Pray for just one more day with them, then make that day count. And please say a little prayer for my wife's and my Evelyn, gone but never to be forgotten.
Chief......you have my prayers that you are given the strength to get through this most difficult day. God bless your Mom, and may God bless you and your family.
Bob......prayers. Waiting is the most difficult part, especially when in the meantime eating and drinking come with a price. Hang in there, buddy. Look at the bright side: if you need to lose a couple of pounds, here is your big chance. Plus they can check out some of your mechanicals while they are in there snooping around. Stock up on the banilla. The green light is coming, and you want to be ready.
Rich......I am sorry to hear about your news. There is a lot on your plate right now, heavy stuff, and all at the same time. Prayers you can navigate all of these waters, knowing the sun comes up tomorrow.
Joe......you have had the best recent news on the Pot. Hold the little one close. You are truly blessed.
Later, gang.
Good morning
Joe on our first grandsons third birthday, someone handed him a plate with cake and vanilla ice cream. He stearnly looked up and boldly stated "who gave me Banilla"I wanted choclate. So forever more it is now banilla. Geeze I was typing this and I heard a sudden rush of water running, I went up, I went down, Got my exercise after several trips through he bathrooms I checked outside and found the hose had burst. Hmm somebody left the water turned on after watering the flowers. It must have been me cause women never do those kinds of things. Yea right...S.J.
