Boy, am I feeling old today for some reason.  Things could be worse.  I suppose I should be grateful.

I don't have any varmints smarter than I am, more clever than I am, better looking than I am, with better teeth and more hair than I have......damming up my property, and flooding MY place out like some people we know.  Whistling

Did you know that certain types of beaver are still on the endangered species list in North Carolina?  And you can't hunt them even if they are shooting at you or flooding you out.

I suppose some egocentric types feel that the laws don't apply to them merely because of their position in Roseyville the community.  Whistling

Jack.

sir james I

Hi Guys

Just got home from the eye doc. those drops did something as i see a lot of pics of the beaver. Oh well it will wear off. Got an ok from the eye doc...Have a good day...S.J,

SJ.....that's good news!  Someone we know sure could use some of those eye drops.  He can't seem hit the broad side of a stationary barn with any of the firearms he has, even with the ones with the super scopes.  Whistling

Beaver Management in North Carolina

Beaver Related Regulations
Landowners whose property is or has been damaged or destroyed by beaver may take beaver on their property by any lawful method without obtaining a depredation permit from the Wildlife Resources Commission. Landowners may obtain assistance from other persons in taking the depredating beaver by giving those persons permission to take beaver on the landowner's property.

Shooting: There is an open season for taking beaver with firearms or bow and arrow throughout the year. Permission must be obtained from the owner or lessee of the land on which the beaver is being taken.

Beaver lodges and dams: A permit is required before a beaver lodge can be destroyed. However, landowners can destroy the beaver dams.

Good to be home but at the same time I'd rather be in a mountain pond with a stick of dynamite hunting beavers!!

Son left this morning for MPLS, I already miss him but I'm sure his bride will be happy to have him back home.  The boss gets back Tuesday afternoon so I'd better start getting the house presentable, she's been gone two weeks today with her sisters in Scandinavia.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I had to think about this a bit - ya' can shoot 'em anytime but ya' need a permit to tear the lodge down? Then it hit me. Tearing the lodge down is against the rules of the NC Housing Commission under the Dept of Human Services.

And how about those depradating beavers anyway Ward? Pirate

Arg maties - depradating beavers are we!

HOME!!!!!  Had to reboot computer three times top catch up on anit-virus porgram. Disapprove

Went by Town Hall and found a special box.  Two great gifts from the gang.  THANKS and THANKS

Will post photos of it soon.  The sneaky beaver with his dynamite is pretty good.  Will hook it up. Staff at Town Hall could not believe how much "energy" was put into building the pond, lodge and the beaver with explosives.  Also the special lighted billboard. [will take them to Miss Edna's tomorrow]

Now rushing out to Pam's family dinner for my birthday.  Thanks again to Roy and all the gang.  Great gifts

Mike C, got your message and will return call.  Will be glad to accomidate.

RT, thanks again for the Coffee Pot startup.

Later.

See guys... all that thought was recognized by 'the staff'. I wonder if 'the staff help' would be happy to know their fearless leader 'thinks' so highly of them... Whistling

Chief, that thar is a one of a kind Beaver accessory!  I am sure you will display your beaver proudly on the layout.  Hope you have a great Birthday big guy!

To all involved, it makes a great story of how it all came together.  Lots of input and Roy has certainly proved himself an artisan.  Just another example of some great folks here on the 'Pot'.

I'm not sure what "on anit-virus porgram" is,  but we must make allowances because of his age and it is his birthday.  Smile,Wink, & Grin

Hope you liked the Beaver.  Could not play along with the gang with the Beaver Avatar cause I don't know how.  I just kept a low profile while the plot was being hatched.  Have a nice birthday dinner tonight.
