Back in Roseyville.  We just came home this PM instead of real early tomorrow AM.  They had plans to go to Chris's [SIL] uncle's 50th Aniv.  Traffic was real light coming back but heavy headed to the coast.

Jim, great looking ride.  Keep good care of it.

Steve W, I was real close to those boots yesterday and today.

Now to rest.  2 1/2 year old has lots of energy.   It was Granddaddy this and Grandddaddy that with his hand held out for me to take.  "This Granddaddy has trains.  My other Granddaddy just has candy."

Chief sounds like you had fun with the Grandson's, I think you and I should meet somehwere this weekend and take the boy's fishing, what do you think? Cool  I'm slowly getting ready to head north to Cedar Falls and stay overnight then Grammie and I will head back home tomorrow, she's put in a full week of cleaning and cooking for the kids, I know they are grateful.  Heck of a way to spend a week of vacation but for Sharyl it is a vacation, I'll bet her blood pressure has dropped another 10 points and it was good to begin with.

Speaking of blood pressure--I had my pre physical last week and it appears I may have some life style changes coming, something about salt, caffeine and red meat ........... Banged Head  I can hardly wait for the rest of the physical on Monday morning ...  Think I'll live it up this weekend before I hear the verdict on Monday.

Bob,

Here are some pics to help you out:

Overall view of engine bay

This is just an overall shot showing the engine bay.

Disty connections

This is one of the connectors for the ignition module. There is another plug directly behind it.

Crankshaft sensor connector

That harness is connected to the crankshaft position sensor. Unplug the sensor from the harness and measure the resistance across the sensor terminals.

I will be posting layout photos shortly in a separate thread so that I don't take up too much more space.

IDEA! - you take up the banjo, I'll do steel Guitar, we'll talk Dennis into doing fiddle and we have a county band! Can you see the Chief on drums (what do you think Buckeye?)?

Pat, sounds like a plan.  Chief can play radio.

After noon all. Its been a while but I'm back. A new computer will make it possible to post again, and the kids back in school will give me more time. Nothing new to report here. Hope all are doing well! It will take a little while to read some past post's and catch up with all that is going on. But at least it will be enjoyable. Well thats all for now going to clean the basement (train room). Have a great day all.

Pretty weather hereGrandson [Carter 2 1/2] has run Granddaddy in the ground.  We ran until dark and then had to play pony when we got inside.  He finally crashed at around 9 PM.

Steve,

I doubt that it is the crankshaft sensor in Bob's case. It could be, but the ignition modules within the 93-94 Probe GT distributor are notorious for failing once the car warms up. A bad crankshaft sensor on these cars will throw a code and the car will refuse to start.

Bob,

I thought of a few more things to check. Try wiggling the connectors on the disty while the car is running. If it cuts out, the ignition module is bad for sure. Also, check the resistance across the plug from the crankshaft sensor. It is a connector with two wires by the dipstick tube.

Bob,

That problem is very common for the 93-94 GT. The source of the problem is the ignition module within the distributor (referred as a disty within the Probe community). At this point, you have three options:

1. Find a working original disty in a salvage yard. (Good Luck)

2. Replace the disty with a new one. ($300-$400)

3. Do the HEI mod. (about $20)

I'll send you a pm shortly.

Good Morning

Another beautiful day, oh if only they would last till spring.

I see a second use for grits(first is potholes)those kids will have nice smooth sanded skin from the knees down. Imagine what it does to your innards. Granny fixed a big breakfast this morn so I took a nice walk and will skip lunch. No plans for the day so I shall just enjoy it...S.J.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 62 degrees. Going up to 75 today with sunshine.

Today is a busy day. I have some errands to run and a few chores to do around the house. I will enjoy the weather while I can.  The leaves are starting to turn colors on the maple trees already. The view in the front yard is beautiful in the fall. Then, the winter comes.

Buckeye......TGIF ( did someone wake you up ?? )

Dining car was here from "Points West". Had the usual for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Friday.

Mornin' boys.  Dead<--- Weather in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Having fifepup's 15th tomorrow.  Already ordered RAVENS ice cream cake, picked up Madden10, and will order a bushel of large steamed crabs tomorrow.  Watched Steelers/Titans game...was wondering if either team wanted to win that one.

I remember having breakfast at my favorite little cafe, on a clear blue day, 8 years ago.  Worked the next 12 hours on alert.  Over half the kids I work with now were in middle school at that time...I remind them when I can.

Havn't posted in a week. As you can tell from the post above the Santa Fe is fixed and running well. THe Geo on the otherhand came out of the shop last thurs. with a new control arm on the drivers side, took my wife to work the next am and after I dropped her off was foing to pay the elect. bill and after about two miles the passenger side control arm ripped out of the rotted frame, broke the driveshaft and folded the wheel under the car. I gambeled and lost big time on that one. Lucky Iwasn't going fast or in traffic at the time. So that car is already in the crusher and we are short a vehicle. Not a huge problem till I get a job, which still hasn't happened. Hey Chief your getting real close to 5 didgitsSmile.....Steve

Aloha all. Never need reminders about 9.11. Very similar weather today. Nice Tardis ride with the gang last night. Good football too. Clemson almost came back though I thought the Pitt/Tenn game was pre-season until the 4th quarter. LOL. High school football tonight. TGIF.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s.  The drought is over!!  "My" soccer girls finally won last night 2-1!!!  It was a barn burner.  We got a goal in the first half, the other team answered back in the second half, and with about 12 minutes to go, one of the Lady Pirates went one on one with a defender for about a minute "foot wrestling" before firing a shot from a deep corner along the end line which bounced off another defender into the net!!!!   The boys won as well, 3-0, and the JV girls got their first goal ever in a 3-1 loss.  All in all, it was a good evening.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast this morning before sending it to "Points East".  TBIL, and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on trainng,

Mike C. from Indiana
