Intelligence report has REB forces travelling west from Columbia, PA, where they attempted to pull up rail and burn bridges.  Bring up all the reserves and post them along Harrisburg Pike.

Attempted?? Be careful while patrolling. That's not an invisible bridge ahead! Shock  And that train is throwing around the ties because the rails are GONE!

Good Mornin', Ya'll, From Sunny Taxachussetts,

FINALLY sunny but cool 50s for today, 70 tomorrow, then 80s through the weekend.  The rain has greened everything up and the perennials are in full bloom.  Like Brutus, the lawn mower must be awakened from a long Winter's nap for another season and before the yard becomes a jungle.  BTW, even with the rain we have been having up my way we are having some scary brush fires locally that have officials worried because temporary burning permits were just issued.

FIL back to the Docs yesterday to follow up on his pain issues.  Was supposed to have the results of another battery of tests and more lab work.  My wife decided we should not call him last night for an update and to leave him alone.  MIL worried.  Frustrating that nothing can be pinpointed to explain all of his pain symptoms.  At 87 years old it probably may be a little bit of a lot of things.  Prophylactic and precautionary broad spectrum antibiotics on day 5, don't seem to be helping.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Brutus....glad to hear that your Dad's heart test results are coming back with encouraging news.  Thumbs Up  Continued prayers that the Docs get the pulmonary issues under control in short order.  How on earth has lawn mowing become an extreme sport for you and is causing injuries?  Worries me.  ADVICE:  take two beers and chug them before starting.  Fill cup holder.  Then begin.

SirJames......prayers your better half has shaken her cold and is feeling better.

Buckeye.....thanks for the video.  Watched it right before bedtime and it made me feel all was right with the world.

MikeC has made a valiant attempt to pilot the Tardis without the use of his thumbs but has done a credible job.  Thumbs Up  No wrecks.  Kurt's performance as bombadier wasn't as good......he missed the Chief's hotel and took out a liquor store next door. Sad

Chief......I think your wife must be on cloud 9 and out shopping her brains out while you are away at YORK.  Hope she is feeling better.  Prayers continue.

Dennis.....did they have to close down your hospital yet in your absence?  Did the duck tape work on the Chief?

Ray.......after all of that heat out in Sunifornia, are you up to piloting the Tardis?  Got your bifocal glasses ready?

MikeC.....how on earth did Lucas score a Summer job?  That was great news. Thumbs Up

Laz......did you have to press your bail bondsman into service yet to help out the early YORK arrivals?

Brent......today is THURSDAY.  In all of your excitement about YORK  you are jumping the gun.   Big Smile  Hope you checked SusieQ's auto a/c this time around before it gets too warm out.  Same advice to the rest of us.

Chuck......hope your legs are feeling better today.

DougM......how are things going around the Chicago White House.

Rich.....great news on the HD.......bet you can't wait.  T-minus 96 hours and counting.  You would have thought that something as elementary as an ignition problem would have been discovered months ago.  No matter now, with the loss of a little green you are good to go.

Jon.....read with interest your post on the first long ride of the season.  Actually, 154 miles doesn't qualify as a ride.  It's a freakin' trip!  My nephew in Chicago is set to go out Sunday.  He and a group of friends head West to get away from the traffic and to find some roads that don't look like they have the victim of carpet bombing.

RT......hope you have some fun built into your vacation.....like progress on the train room.  Hope you have taken DougM's lead and have something special planned for your upcoming Silver wedding anniversary.  End of June will be upon you before you know it.  And the wives take this stuff quite seriously.

njalb......great pictures!!!!!  Have to totally concur with Fife, Bella is quite the cutie!!!!

Patrick.......are these undercover cows?  How do they operate their two way radios and cell phones with hooves?  Re the reasons our wives have hung in their with us for decades.....I looked down and couldn't see my shoes.  Pam must like my six barrel abs.  Same with Laura and yours I suspect.

Fife......what good are all of your hours at the shooting range doing the Northern boys if you were not able to cut the Chief off at the pass on the way to YORK?

GregM.....you should have reposted some of your pictures of your handywork from last year to incent the rest of us to get it in gear.  Brent needs no encouragement along these lines because he has Susan there to remind him each day.  His "honey do" list gets worse by the minute.

OleTimer......from the sound of things, turning you loose at YORK would be a financial disaster for your family.  And there would be nothing left for the rest of the TCA members to buy.

Ray, Don, and DougDG.....is it pool time yet?

Have not heard from Northwoods on the POT for a few.  Must still be out shovelling snow in Wisconsin.

Chops on the grill tonight.  Later gang.

Jack

Morning guys, those Northerners and those that are temporary Northerners....Laugh

Up to 87 today, partly cloudy and breezy, my office door is open and it’s nice.

Miss Ellie the Enterprise Cat is napping now (as she usually does) after I came in and fed her.  A can of wet, some dry and a couple of treats, half hour of playing and saying hello to the drivers and she’s tuckered out.  Tough life being a cat...Sigh

Drove past a few more potential residences last night.  The Princess has Dance Team tryouts and it ran late.  Had soup & bread at Panera last night, checked in and off to bed.  Not much else going on.  Tomorrow at noon off to Universal Studios and the Magic Kingdom.  Geez, I have to see if I can get in on the steam train tour.....Banged Head

Devils against the Carolina Hurricane, we’ll see if we can’t downgrade them to a tropical storm tonight...Pirate

See ya inna bit....

 Good Morning All:

Chief - Good thinking taking the Southern Invisible Vehicle. It got you to York unmolested and will get you home as well. And some northerners think us southerners aren't clever.

Don't worry about the M&D border. I got it covered. Under cover of darkness I deployed the specially trained cow unit along the border. They can sniff out Yanks and turn them around. The South is safe until your return.

"Jon E, 154 mile in know where country is no where" means "Jon E, 154 mile in know where country is no where".

Mike C - When Lucas starts eating them grits you will see what a Southern Gentleman is all about.

To much time on my hands today - should be at York.

Mornin' boys. Sad Mornin' Enlgish. SadSunny & 48, but otherwise a gray day here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The Southern raiders slipped right by me. Disapprove If they had turned east on the Beltway they would have been netted and deported.  I guess I could've made a last ditch effort to get them outside of Hunt Valley, but runnin' CODE 3 for 30 minutes during rush-hour "might" have prompted some questions from communications....  Now, they're in YORK.  Worst thing since Stewart back in '63...just plotting...scheming...

Mornin' Fellas.

This is going to be the longest day of the year so far! I so do not want to be in the office today - beautiful weather, Sun, 65, no rain... Sad At least today is Friday! Thumbs Up Going to be blistering 80 tomorrow... guess it will be a shorts and light colored short sleeve shirt day. Cool

Chief - No worries. SusieQ is smitten with me! She's a born and raised Baltimorron and has no desire to live anywhere else unless it involves red hills, cactus, and desert Confused So since we have no plans to move to AZ (She would probably settle for Nappa or Sonoma too) you're clear! Plus they don't have BMW dealers in NC so there's no chance of her moving there! Wink

Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow... guess I should get this work done... Sigh

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps near 70.  Lucas has a full time job this summer working at a food processing place (he gets to eat his scrap).  Bad news is that it is second shift and he misses soccer.  Worse news is that it is in the GRITS making section of the facility :-)   Better news is now he can make alterations in any shipments going to Roseyville!!!!  Got to scrimmage with "my" soccer girls last night.  No injuries.  The "saucy wench" was part of a CASA discussion that lasted two hours last night.  Some of the cases she heard about.....   I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning before sending it to "Points East".  Beacon is lit, and I can drive or recycle tonight.  I hope everyone (especially those at York) have a good day.

Keep on training,

Gonna hit the hay, but thought I better post.  Some good news today - Dad's echocardiogram was reported by my Mom to have been "good" and he's getting a stress test tomorrow.  He definitely has pneumonia and COPD or emphysema - what is the diff?  Anyway, he might not have Congestive Heart Failure - not sure, but lasix is shrinking his legs.

Patrick, I told Sir James to drive tonight, I wrecked my back mowing the lawn and down in the trees - weeds trying to come up back there.  Too much in one day this early in the year, lol!  But, it felt good to be doing something.  Sturg-Phish is right, some good hard handiwork will take your mind off things!  :)

Tardis is ready, I'm crippled up on the recliner, so somebody drive - maybe Ray this time?

PS - Rich, really glad to hear you are doing better!

Took the boat to the lake this past weekend.  Hope to put her in the water when I return from my business trip to Minneapolis, MN.  Fly out Saturday morning real early and will have some time to see the sites before the meetings start.

What great Northern weather, but a little too warm for my tastes.  When it is this warm we can't keep the rift-raft from heading north.   I hear a waitress in PA was fired today for serving sweet tea.  She was orginally from Mississippi and did not know better.   I also heard there was a big ruckus at a hotel at York, PA.   Two characters showed up at the front desk and demanded a room in the barn.

Took the boat to the lake this past weekend.  Hope to put her in the water when I return from my business trip to Minneapolis, MN.  Fly out Saturday morning real early and will have some time to see the sites before the meetings start.

I get the idea that several of the gang or their families are not doing too well.  Prayers to all who are suffering or are worring about their loved ones others.

Could someone help me interpret that statement?  I think Chiefy is suffering from pop corn withdrawl and Yankee fresh air, something he has obviously not experienced before.  Me thinks he has inhaled way too  much honey wagon fumes Whistling

WEZE here.  Got hotel right near fairgrounds.  No problems.  Yankees tried to stop us in DC with traffic jam at 5:15 on I 495.  Did not work.  Then the Yankee Cops could not recognize us as we have the Southern invisiable vehicle.  Even called Super Cop twice and gave location.  He failed you Yanks.  Even got sweet ice tea just over the PA line.  Asked for it and waitress did not bat an eye.  Got microwave but no popcorn.  Will dare not ask Dennis to take me to a gro.  He's been up since 2 AM.  Did great job of driving.  Sure is Yankee cold outside.  Brought two coats.

Yeah Jon, I do wish I was closer....I did stop by the HD shop today and the Sporty is ready.  I can't ride until Monday, want to flush out the drugs, still feel light headed at times and my headache from Saturday is gone.  But I have another headache - $360 for the repairs.  They only charged me for the parts, so I should be happy, it could've been over $700.

It's late aand I got no sleep last night so it's off to bed.  I'll be posting some stuff on the 'bay and getting ready for my Orlando trip.  I need the rest.....

Doug--good Iowa weather headed your way Thumbs Up

Decided to put the helmet on and go for a ride this afternoon as the temps are @74 with no wind and no humidity, UNBELIEVABLE! There are some fantastic black topped roads in southern IA so off I went with no idea where I would end up (well, not really--I know where the bathrooms and coffee shops are, for the most part) so my short ride turned into 154 FANTASTIC miles Approve   Rich--I wish you lived closer so we could enjoy the back roads we have here, huge rolling hills in southern IA with no traffic--there are some old gravel roads that are now blacktopped (poorly) and they are just the BEST.  I thought of Chief when I passed a manure spreader and the honey wagon as the farmers are cleaning out their barns Laugh  Hopefully the good weather will continue through the weekend, the farmers are loving this weather.

Jon

So many roads, so little time.
