DaveV - how does the MOB (Mail Order Bride) company ship their product? Can you choose USPS, FedX, Brown, Courier, etc? And what about their returned merchandise policy? Do they tout "Satisfaction Guaranteed or your money back?"

I'm tempted to send you one as a belated Christmas present from TexASS...

Jon, WALLEYE!!!! Love to catch walleye and, even better, eat them. [:D] Have to go to western NC to catch walleye 6 or 7 hours drive]. There is getting to be a "population" of them in Gaston [1 1/2 away] on VA and NC boarder just north of here. No ice fishing here.

Jim D.,

My buddy warned me this time to do a contract marriage. How unromantic!

But how practical!

I will make note of toy train hobby in my proposal.

Tom,

Just noticed the picture on the last page of the beagles, including BB, discovering the rabbit.

That hare better light a fire under it's tail or it will become hot dog chow!

BB esp. likes the picture.

Afternoon, Folks,
Didn't have a free moment to post this morning, so I'm doing it now. It's hard to get uses to going to school again.

I left school a little bit early this afternoon to go to the oral surgeon for a followup appointment. After finished there(I spent less time in the chair than I did waiting to get in), I stopped by some favorite antique stores of mine to do some hunting.

I found a the Stromberg Carlso equivalent of a Western Electric 500 set with a metal fingerwheel. The dial was stuck(probably an easy fix with a little bit of oil), but I passed on the $57 price tag. In another store, though, I found 11 strings of C6 Christmas lights, some in useable condition, for $20 for the whole lot. Several of the strings had really, really old ceramic or wood sockets. Out of this lot, I also got about 5 exhaust tipped bulbs, which are no newer than the 1920s. Although most strings were in the best of condition, I think that I did fairly well for the price.

Hope that you all have a good remainder of the day!

Daan,
Is that the extent of the catalog? None of the models pictured really jump out at me, although they did seem to make the food jump out of me.

Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is in a winter storm with snow and freezing rain. I had 2” when I left home at 5:30am. A 30 minute ride to work took me 50 minutes. It is always surprising how some people try to drive in this type of weather, and they wonder why they end up flip over and in the ditch.

Daan – now I can never ever believe again when someone say they have a picture to prove it. How do I know it real [?] You and JimBo have done a great job.

Pick of the Day

All be safe today

tom

Morning, Folks,
Warm and rainy here. There are several flash flood watches going out around the state. What makes this worse is we're told that a long warm spell like this in the middle of the winter usually indicates that a big drop off is coming. Looks like we have more snow to look forward to.

Hope that you all have a good day!

Good Morning!

Well, it's definetly winter here in Saskatchewan! Yesterday it was colder than -40 with the windchill and it is today, too. There's also a lot of snow. The city of Regina is spending $1 million to clean up all the snow that we've recently had. Regina got hit much harder than where I am. Last week, the whole city basically shut down for a couple days. All businesses were closed and so were the roads. Best of all, though, I get a day off today! It's a Snow Day, meaning that the school busses are cancelled and since farm students make up the majority at school, the town students don't have to go to school either if they don't want to.

Yes you will. Record high of 76 yesterday. Back up there again today and maybe tomorrow. Then wet and cold stuff due for only a couple of days. They say we MIGHT get a sprinkle and the highs be only 60. [:p] Then back up again. Probably last until the 13th. That is the day I go back to the Dr and get driving OK. Then it will probably snow. Hey, what is the difference in me doing yard work and fishing? HUMM something wrong here. Out to do more work in the yard and enjoy the sun and warmth. I love to here that Ohio is getting more OHIO. God bless all. [8D]= me outside in the sun.

Hello all, hey Chief, how does NC get better weather than Southern CA ? Is that possible.

You "ladies" looked so good, I think I here a carnival or two calling.

We got more rain last night, so the free watering of the lawn continues.

You all have a great day, and for those in the tough weather be careful out there.

As for Sask_Tinplater @ -40 you need to move.bbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I want to move to North Carolina! Where is Rolesville? Snowy here today - or rather sleety - the kind that stings your face as you trudge 20 blocks from the train station to work. Tom, I don't get why people don't want to drive a little slower in this weather. Maybe driving an SUV gives them some sense of security (as I putter along in my decade-old Hyundai).

I plan to 'day-dream' online at lunch today about Lionel streamliners... Better than looking at some of these pictures...

Doug, we are due a good one. Average high in Jan. is 50. Last Jan. we only got to 50 one day during the month. Snowed every other weekend. We usually get one or two good snows a year. They go away fast. Several years ago, one stayed for two weeks and then we got hit the next year by massive ice storm. No power for days [good old generator] Then we were hit with unusual snows last winter. Between all of that, hurricanes and tornados. We are due a break. Let OHIO have all of that stuff. [;)]
