They have patience that I couldn't even dream of having. I couldn't sit down to do them. I don't even know where the boxes are. The only thing I did for the car is put the ice in it.

It is getting really windy here now.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 59 deg with overcast skies and light rain. I wonder where that came from?

Dennis - your family is in our prayers.

Special OTTS meeting today. Looking forward to meeting Roy.

NHRA Summer Nationals this weekend for those who have the need for speed.

Looks like I will be making alot of trips to Grand Rapits over the next few months for work.

Was Roy coming to Cleveland by Bus, Train or Plane?

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a rainy 56 degrees and only going up to 62 today. More rain. Looks like the South really got hit hard. Glad everyone is OK

Today is another inside day. A few projects to work on and maybe run trains later. Need to cut the back grass, but too wet.

We are getting the house ready for Daughter's family to arrive on Monday. They are coming down here for the day. It will be good to see them.

Well, nothing else is new here, so I am off to the Dining Car for breakfast. I will be back later.

Y'all have a great day.

Good morning from Gettysburg. We have had a nice steady soaking type of rain.  The weather station at the local middle school shows just under 2 inches of rain since yesterday.  No flooding or damaging winds in our area.

One secretary from work drove down to below Richmond to pick up her son from college for the long weekend. Said there were lots of flooded streams and electricity out in places along with downed trees.

Will be going to a get together with some very dear friends from high school tomorrow.  Hope it clears and warms up a little.  Later today got to drop off computer for estimate from lightning strike that killed ethernet port.  Have been using wireless to connect. May be off line for a while.

Take care and stay dry.

Morning.  Sun is out.  Time to clean the yard, after visiting Miss Edna's.  Got my haircut [delayed due to lady's kids being out of school yesterday].  Now I can look pretty for all the Yankee ladies I will be seeing this coming week. Wink [;)]  Hope all you PA and NJ folks don't get too much water.  Pond is going down.  Opening day of bow season here.  I quit bow hunting years ago.  Quit deer hunting later.  Got one buck at the pond that I see or get snorted at all the time.  Think the 06 will come out of retirement. Have a great day and God bless.

HI GIZ,

At 8 0clock this morning we had 1.75 inches of rain not too bad.  Now at 1030 its at 2.25 inches and still raining.  Far cry from the 6 inches predicted earlier in week.  High School football team won big 33-0!

JELECTRIC, I see ETOWN won last nite also.  Good thing you didn't go maybe an omenWink [;)].

CHIEF, glad to here water is going down on pond.  How big is that buck?  Maybe a YANKEE invasion to get some venisonWink [;)].

OTTS BOYS, keep and eye on ROY, check those tracks before he leaves for that white residue.  Might gum up your tracks?  I'd have him clean all those tracks with acetoneWink [;)].  Hope you have fun ROY, enjoy your day and check out all those chicks that TOM has waiting for you at the bus station.

Stay dry.

Good morning from Fuquay-Varina, NC.  Like the Chief says, the sun is out!  Got a leaky roof that needs fixing.  I had thought about visiting Miss Edna's, but just don't have time.  I did pick up a few K-Line train cars the other day from Tom's Trains.  Got a blue-green globe Southern Railway lantern that I need to put on my webpage.  I'll post pictures when I take them.

Sorry I haven't been participating lately.  I've just been too busy to keep up with the forum.

Later,

JeffPo, that lantern sounds great.
I'm sorry for all you Easterners with the weather -- it's a beautiful day here in Illinois. I'm tired after a late night with teenagers. Got a fair number of chores to do too. Hope you are all well.

The difference a day makes.  Son has been able to keep food down, so far.  He is feeling much better, thanks for the prayers, they do work.  "the prayers of a righteous man availeth much".  Please keep my sister in law in prayers, she has a tough road with *** cancer.

I am in great spirits today as a great friend of mine called from a combat zone in Iraq.  It is neat to get such a call, half way around the world in the middle of all that.  He is in spec ops, but may be interviewed for "Good Morning America" as one of the reporters are with him and he is the commander.  He asked if I wanted anything from Iraq, I don't think they have any O gauge, so I think I will have to settle on some Iraq money or something.

Also, when I got home last night, my Lionel B&O boxcar with Railsounds came.  I took the kids up to run trains and make some noise with the new addition.

Have a great day!

Dennis

Good afternoon all,

I have spent most of this rainy morning working on the family web page which hasn't been upgraded for far to long.  Had to relearn HTML! Ashamed [*^_^*]Thumbs Down [tdn]

Dennis, Glad to hear that your son is feeling better.

Laz, Yes we won.  It was a close one from what I hear.  Not a night to show off the passing game.  Sounds like you got a little more rain than we did.

On the weather front, we have not gotten what was predicted, just checked the gauge a few minutes ago and we got 1.3" since it started mid-morning yesterday.  Been a nice gently rain with winds, my estimate, of 25-30 mph.

Going to work on the web page a while yet and then take a few pics for SPF.

Colin, I can't believe a young guy like you would have a hard time with those little cartons.  You better never switch to N gauge. Smile [:)]  Even an old guy like me was able to put a few together to show them how to do it.

Try to stay dry,

Sunny here.  Pond is almost back down to normal.  Path dried up fast.  Shows how dry it was.  We've had a good breeze too so that helped dry out things.  Will disk part of garden Monday and sow turnips.  Cleaned yard and drive today.  Will do a mowing job Monday before I leave town so it will not be too tall when I get back.  Just picked up 6 BN bathtub gons at an excellent price [was selling 5 but he found an extra and sold it a big discountBig Smile [:D]].  Got call from guy selling them on OGR.  Really a nice guy.  Goes by Boxerhouse.  He's got some great buys on engines over there.  Would buy them but got to build up train money as bought too much rolling stock this month.  I think these will make about 25 bathtub gons with rotary couplers.  Will go with my Lionel rotary coal tipple.    Roy should be spreading the Southern "dust" around Yankeeland by now. Hi,

Been raining here, on and off, all day. Every time I go out, it seems to know, and starts raining. Hmmmmmmmm.

Ran trains, for awhile, this afternoon. Had the MTH trolley running. I will end the trolley track, at both ends in the mountain. That way, no one will see it " bump and reverse ". It will run thru the town of " Blueberry ". At the end of the town is the " Hill ".

See ya later,

Chuck

Hi everybody,

Boy, is it wet here. I think we have had a direct hit with what's left of this tropical storm. It has been raining steadily all day long.

It has been really crazy in the area the past few days. There is an escaped convict that has been loose for awhile. On Thursday night he shot 2 troopers in an ambush. There are now well over 100 troopers looking for him 24/7. There are 22 roadblocks around the area and at each one they have their guns drawn. On one road my daughter got stopped at 6 different road blocks in a 15 mile stretch. I hope they get this guy soon. We don't leave doors unlocked anywhere.

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend.

Chuck, can you easily get 'into' your mountain if the MTH trolley happens to derail? It might happen inadvertently. Why not try to run it from inside a trolley barn out to a fixed point and back or maybe around a dog-bone-style curve and back...

That's what I'm going to do, Doug. A dog-bone, with the town in the middle and mountain at one end. I can get into the mountain, very easily. The portal for the trolley is on an angle, so you can't see into it. But the bumper is only 8 inches inside. I'll take a few pictures when it's done.
