Hello All! CSXJohn- Be careful. That $20.00 could be a coupon for a Box of Grits at the local store.[;)][:o)] Dave- Another good list of Murphy's Law & all of them are true. Laz- I wonder if the 800lb Bear bought himself a Kayak to cross the Susie-Q instead of swimming across it?[;)][:)][:o)] His peers are probably calling him the Tidy Bowl Man(Bear) by now[;)][:)][:o)][4:-)] Ben- Hope you have a very nice summer before going off to College in the fall. Dave - great Murphyisms

Keith - I ran the 1688 again the other day before I started tearing things up to put in the shelf layout. It is so smooth. After I get the shelf done I hope to post some pictures for Sunday Photo Fun.

Did not do any work on the layout tonight. Thursdays are a late night due to the Summer Learning Program that runs from 4 - 6 PM. Went out for dinner with my Mrs. then to the local Volunteer Fireman's Carnival. We try to go each year and make a donation at the Big Six Wheel, Raffle table, and the Bingo Tent. Maybe I'll get the shelves installed tomorrow night.

It was a beautiful day here, not too hot and not too humid. Steamy weather is on the way for the weekend though,

Tired. Went to sleep in the recliner. Just woke up. Sprayed everything. Those Japanese Beetles [AH SO] are still here and needed spraying. Also had to change the bags on the traps [they were full, pew they stink]. Bed time. BTW: bet that line to the new Honda plant is NS. [:)]

Well, I'll be off work tomorrow - Chewy is sick and has to be watched for 24 hours. HG - Hemorrhagic Gastrointestinal Disorder. Yuck. Poor little baby was so sad. She was very good and kept it all in her box, though.

Great list, David - I especially liked "A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for
doing well."

There was a similar list in a Robert Heinlein book I read years ago which included (if memory serves) "An elephant is a mouse built to government specifications."

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Top of the morning to y'all.
Not much train time yesterday, had a busy day at work and then took the family out to eat as it was the one year anniversary since we first got our daughter. Of course we had Chinese food to celebrate. She has been such a blessing to our family and one of her great traits is that she loves trains! Anyway, I will be getting some work done with layout plans today, and hope to have the trains running by August.
God Bless,
Dennis

Good morning all,

It is sunny and mild in SE Indiana with temps again in the low 80s. I played a little soccer last night. My son and I have to mow again tonight. Tomorrow and Sunday I will be at Indy for the F-1 events. I just hope the show is better than last year's six car "event". Chief, I think NS wishes it had that line to the Honda plant :-) I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,
Good Morning from Blueberryhill
It is 59 degrees and sunny. Going up to 81 today and
staying sunny. That's a nice day.
Well, there is nothing new going on here. I will work on a few small projects today and
maybe cut the grass in the back yard. Front came out good.
Did not get any survey calls, BUT got a survey e-mail. Probably everybody did too.
I see that there are a lot of people NOT posting on the Forum this summer. I hope
all is well with them. Never did hear about Jim Dudas.
Time to have breakfast. I will be back later.
Y'all have a great day.

Morning all. Got a little test for the Dr. at 11:30 [going to be there at 11] that will last for about 4 to 6 hours. That shoots the day.
Get well Chewy.

Good morning,

Quiet morning here, babysitting while wife and daughter are at the Drs. The girls are still sleeping so I installed this rebuilt computer while I did not have a lot of help. [:)]

We faired pretty good in our area compared to some parts of PA, Upstate seems to have had the worst of it.

Jim, Hope Chewy recovers from the disorder.

Sounds like someone is awake so that's it for a while.

Good morning from a sunny and cool Chicago. I guess I'm one of the few people at work today - that means I'll get a lot done. Going to run all the trolleys on the layout tonight to honor the 110th anniversary of the beginning of operations for the Aurora, Elgin & Fox River between Elgin and Geneva IL. Have a good day!

Thanks guys - she's up and prancing around, but we tried to give her some licks of an ice cube and she didn't handle it too well. Time will tell.

Chuck - glad to hear you are getting around so well now. I've mowed my yard two weeks in a row and it does feel good to get something done.

Talk later - kids are up and need to see about getting something in their bellies.

Hi GIZ,
60 and nice today.
Did an easy 3.25 miles this morning.
No lifting today this is a rest day and I am only going to paint the shed today.
Try to get at least a coat of paint on a year.

No GOLF yesterday the course only had 8 holes that were playable.
Big quagmire at the golf course, didn't feel like playing in rubber boots.

JIM, Hope CHEWY is better.

KIETH, BRUNO the 800 lb. bear is happy on this side of the SUSQI.
Looks like our 4th of July fireworks are going to be posponed due to the high river.
They usually have the fireworks on the river in a barge and that is where they set them off. Maybe we will have them on Labor Day?

All have a good one.

Good morning all.

Spent some time last night modifying one piece of "steel" on one of my bridges. The new boxcar's length and width are a hair too much. The bridge is right at the exit of a curve and the door guide was just rubbing. Had this problem with one other car that I have on the shelve so I decided to do something about it and moved the offending structural member.

Been a busy morning so far, spent some time putting in some edging blocks until the sun came up and the sweat starting pouring off, came in and started doing some cooking. I have a pot of meatballs and sauce simmering on the stove and a meatloaf in the oven. I use the same recipe for both. Spaghetti for supper.[C=:-)]

Temp. is supposed to be mid 90's today and through the weekend. Guess I'll get the granddaughters after lunch and be lifeguard all afternoon.

Hey everyone, nice day here in W. MI today. Been working pretty hard this week, so this weekend I will definitely take the time to sit and relax. The Atlas Gundersons will be arriving pretty soon and im looking forward to that. Pretty much will be a quiet weekend here for me.

Has anyone read the post regarding the forum overhaul that's going to take effect on July 12th? Im curious as to how that is going to turn out, at least we will keep our post counts, but we will lose the stars though....sucks that I will never make it to the 4th or 5th star, but that's ok.

Well, gonna get a shower in and some dinner. Have a great weekend.

No, I tool a quick dip in the pool. By the way the granddaughters all had seconds at supper.

P.S. Probably could've handled a couple of "guests", there are leftovers. One, maybe two, meatball usually sufices, I use an icecrean scoop as my measure.

Evening. Glad Chewy is doing better. Resting up. Had a followup nuclear stress test today. Really wasn't bad. Hardest part was doing without Pepsi One for 24 hours before test. No breakfast and nothing to eat until after 2:00 PM. Well, all OK so I will not have to call for Dennis to come save me. Just saw Emporer Of The North. Two hobs trying to ride a train with a mean conductor. Funny. Well, sleep tight all. Hope to get up early and be ready as the horse riders come through tomorrow AM. [;)] God bless.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill
It is 60 degrees tight now and sunny. Going up to 87
today and staying sunny. Maybe a rain shower tonite.
Getting out for a ride today. Going to Cambridge for a few things and eating out. Nothing
fancy, just good old homestyle. Gas is still around $2.80 a gallon. A lot of people are
taking shorter vacations this year, due to cost. Especially the ones with campers.
No train running today. Ran some yesterday. Time for scenery.
Chief..Glad your tests turned out good.

Time for breakfast. Be back tonite.

Good morning from Gettysburg. It is a beautiful morning here. Clear blue skies with temps in the 60's right now.

No time for trains last night. Yesterday afer work I had to help my son pick up some furniture for his apartment. Did not get home until almost 8:00 PM. When they moved out of their old place, the new one wasn't quite ready so the landlord let them store their stuff in the garage of the new place. What they didn't realize is that the roof of the garage looked like swiss cheese and they did not cover anything with plastic. When they went back three weks later to move in, all of the furniture was soaked and moldy including the mattress and box spring that we just bought him less than a year ago. UGH. [banghead] Now my side of the garage is full of furniture to be moved back to Morgantown in August. Of course he is too busy to take the furniture before then....

I will get the shelf layout installed today! Also need to cut the grass as the Boy is too busy to do that either.

Take care.
