Chief, would you mind driving past my house on your next trip to Atlanta? If you bring some rain I'll even let you stay and play with the trains.

Begining to feel half way alive, boy was it BUSY at the museum yesterday. We had a whole bunch more visitors than I expected.
Don, We had quite a few from up your way, mostly families and when they learned of our "Kids Club" there were inquiries of groups up your way. The only one I could think of was the "Angel's Gate Hi-Railers". Do you guys have a kids group?
I got this ad in the mail and finally opened it to see what they were trying to sell before it hit the recycle bin. It turns out to be an "HO" set, probably extremely poor quality at best but I wish I had the paint skills to replicate this on an MTH 19th century set with overton cars.

Congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes. I watched most of the game last night. It was end to end action with some tough hits from both team.

Got word from Keith/1688Torpedo that he has shipped my 1688 back to me after some rehab work. Can't wait to get it back and test it out. Thanks for your help Keith.

Started working on putting togehter a paint oven last night. I need to stop at the hardware store and pick up some electrical plugs etc. My dad made a plywood box for me and I am going to line it with foil and install the elcectrical fixtures. I saw a sample on line - maybe at the TCA site. Baking the paint is supposed to make it cure harder and faster and give a better finish. I have a few roofs off of some pre-war coaches that I am going to repaint as a test.

Have a great day.

Good morning all,

It is dark outside in SE Indiana as I am testing the internet connection for the better half this morning. I tested a new phone number last night, and it seems to be working better this morning. (We kept dropping the connection). It is supposed to be hot and humid today with temps in the 80s. We supposed to practice some last night, but thunderstorms cut it short. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill
It is 62 degrees right now and sunny. Going up to 83 today
and staying sunny.
Not much going on today. We may go to an afternoon showing of " Cars ". Depends
on the daily developments. I'd like to see that movie.
No work on trains today. This is the only day this week with no rain. Have to do a few light
things outside today. Grass needs cut. Neighbor fella will do it.
Well, I am going to have breakfast. Talk later.
Y'all have a great day.

Ran this morn and got workout in.
Now to trim forsithea bushes today.

BUCKEYE sounds good to me.
I only caught one MUSKEY up on the St. Lawerence, a 33 incher, threw it back.
Was one of the most prettiest fish I ever caught.
Nice color and nice toothy smile.

JELECTRIC, good reply to the soccer question.
They sing because the rest of the time is pretty boring.
I'd rather watch golf, and thats boring.

MITCH good luck with the engine, hope it runs great.

All have a good one.

AH SO!!!! I asked them and they spoke Japanese. Not Spanish. [;)]

Tired and sleepy.

Question for Buckeye: Why is It I was in Fairfield OH and North of Cincinnati and the Ohio Route 8 was DIXIE HWY? BTW: My Time Warner installer is from OH and he lived near Wheeling [a few miles north of there but on the OH side]. Says he is no Yankee. He has always thought of himself as a Southerner. Few smart folks in OH. OH, he likes sweet ice tea. [^][;)]

Chief,
Did you happen to fly over our house, we have rain and thunderstorms. Looking forward to getting some layout work done this week. That is if She Who Must Be Obeyed says it is alright. It was in the high 90s and supposed to stay there this week, somewhere close to 100. I am not complaining, got a message from a friend in Iraq, just glad we have some that make such sacrifices. Anyway, have a great night.
Dennis
PS; Kieth, I hope to call soon. Sorry for being so slack.

Don; I know just what to do !! First consult a Dr. He should drag it out a good long time, & also consult a good Lawyer to see what he will come up with. By then, you'll be broke or so far in debt you'll never be able to get any more Beep stuff !! Bingo, problem solved !! [:D][:D][:D]
Seriously, I plan to get my little Grandson one for Christmas !! Can't beat the prices !!
Thanks,

Chief,
The reason SR 8 is named the Dixie Highway, was due to it being the main route for the unemployed Sutherners to get to the land of milk and honey, commonly called OHIO. Do you really believe everything a cable guy tells you? Haven't yo seen his TV Show?

Too busy! Meeting tomorrow at 7:00 am across town. Good night.

Morning guys,

Being back at work kind of stinks after almost a week off. I think I could get used to being off. I could adjust but I am not sure that my budget could[:D], especially the train budget.

Don - get a hold on yourself man. You must control the urges... Repeat after me... no more Beeps, no more Beeps... no more Beeps...There do you feel better now? My bill for therapy is in the mail[;)]

I bid on a junker 1688 for parts. Keith e-mailed that it's the wrong type. I may look into retracting the bid or just hope I get out bid. If I win the thing it will be yet another lesson as to why I should not bid before I think things thru and do some research.

Got to get going. Have a great day.

Morning all,
Don, know what you mean about the about the beeps. I really have been thinking of getting the Marine Corps one. I also think a Susquehanna Susie Q beep would be great. Not much happening around these parts. Supposed to go to 100 today, so I guess it will be inside work.

Good morning all,

It is cloudy and warm in SE Indiana with temps heading to the 90s!! I have a game at 6 PM tonight, and I hope everybody shows up so there are some substitutes. I hope the rain holds off as well. I listened to my Father's Day present last night. It was Neil Young's Greatest Hits CD. He sure did and does a lot of great music. I also replaced a mini-blind on the back porch. It was an exciting evening?!?!?! I like the Japanese beetle jokes. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Morning All!

Happy first day of summer! It's been a while since I posted. School has been really busy with end of the year stuff. There seems to be a lot of evening activities lately. I am looking forward to graduation on Friday so I hope things quiet down. I am taking some vacation time next week. I managed to get the grant written this week so that it gets out of the office before the end of the month.

For Father's Day my kids got me a nice Lionel desk lamp. It looks pretty nice. It even has some train sounds.

Well, I hope you all enjoy the longest day of the year.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill
It is 66 degrees here and looks like rain. Going up to
87 and maybe, afternoon thunder showers.
Today we go into Cambridge, and grocery shop. Not a delightful job. Especially at the
check - out counter. Prices like to move up.
Maybe later today, I will run trains. Have to get busy on that scenery.
Buckeye....You are right. Route 8 was the main route for Southern
folks to escape the swamps to beautiful Ohio. They should appreciate this.
Talk to you guys more, later.
Y'all have a great day.
