Roger : I would think maybe Davis trains in Milford, Ohio would have them or some of the other Hobby shops that were K-line Super stores.
Thanks,

Morning all. Store opens at 10 AM. Out of here tonight. Get in around 8:30 PM [and then drive home]. which is early for me. [:)]

Tom, good luck with your ears. Need them to hear the real train sounds. [;)]

Buckeye is due to arrive in NC soon. Got a special place for him to live. He will be real safe. Got bars on the doors and windows and guards to protect him. [}:)][:0] [thanks for the wise council yesterday, followed Jim A and your suggestion]

Colin must be real sick as he has not posted for several days since he said he thought he had mono.

Doug M, watch for those bad storms headed your way.

NSTrackman, sent you an email about the NS SD60 and dummy. Did it get through your spam blocker? No answer. [?]

All: I have to pay Uncle Sam several K each year. Should be filing quarterly but I do not like to give it to him until the last minute. Reason is, I think it is highly missused. Tried of supporting those who will not work or do not pay taxes. [:(!][V] Don't mind helping those who can not help it.

Dennis, send us a tape of the TV star. [;)]

John, help Tom get the wax out of his ears. [;)]

All have a great day.

[code]Good Morning from Blueberryhill[/code]It is 47 degrees currently, cloudy, going up to 65 and maybe
some SUN. That sounds good.
Big NASCAR race from Marttinsville, VA. 500 miles, on a half mile track. Long race.
I got a Platinum Club flyer from Williams. Good sale of Berkshires for $262.00.
That's just MY opinion. Naturally, someone won't like it. That's their opinion.
Back to brighter things, nice pictures, Tom.
Well, I will go for now.
Y'all have a great day.

Hi guys,
I have not felt really different, and I still have not heard anything about the blood work yet. I will be so *&%$#@! mad if it is mono. Last I heard, Jackie doesn't have it. Lucky, but I hope I don't have it, and hope she doesn't get it. I am still really tired, but I am going to an Easter Egg hunt later today with the family.

Talk to you guys later.

I guess I missed the fact that David will be 49 today when I read his post. Happy Birthday David [bday].

The May issue of MR has some real good articles. Nice O gauge (scale) layout by David Stewart (28' X 56'). Wouldn't we all like to have a layout that size? Forgot to mention the minimum radius was 60", that would be like 0120 to us, Wow.

Also an article about a nice club layout in Zanesville, OH. Of course this one is HO, but a very nice layout. Any of you OTTS guys ever see it?

A couple of other articles that have info useful to all gauges.

A fine day here, but we sure could use some rain.

Morning all! HAPPY DST (riiiight!).

Will be mid-80's today. Running 10 degrees above normal.

Paid $2.65 for reg gas today. Premium is $2.95. Send a note of thanks to your congressman who would not allow an intelligent phase out plan for MBTE to ethanol additives. MBTE can travel in pipelines. Ethanol has to be trucked. Can't be finally processed until it is near the delivery point. Guess what - it will take a very long time to optimize.

Good to hear from you Scratch! Good luck on the house!

Colin lives (for now).

Buckeye has been pretty quiet - Chief - keep him under wraps!

Dave - [bday][bday][bday]

Chief - have a safe trip home tonight!

Watched Good Night and Good Luck last night (DVD). Really good show (CBS & Murrow vs Sen. McCarthy). I had forgotten how much people used to smoke until I watched this show.

For my first full time job at Rockwell in '77, you were issued an ashtray as part of your desk package. You only had to go outside for cigar smoking. Pipe smokers were allowed inside. The smoking at work policies did not start changing until about 1982. My parents smoked 3+ packs per day when we were kids. Incredible how much it has changed.

Working on my move to MI.

Have a great one all!
Roy

Dave - Happy Birthday

Colin - Get Well Soon

I am beat -- could not sleep last night no matter how hard I tried. Finally gave up at 3:30 and came out in the living room and watched the new King Kong movie. I was having "stomach" trouble too and feeling sorry for myself. Then my dog had "stomach" trouble - I gues sympathetic??? So I had to clean the floor, then the dog, then do laundry etc. Finally dozed off for about 1.5 hours, but up again and trying to stay up until bedtime now, so I am not messed up on sleep tomorrow.

Lots of cool special features on the Kong (2005) 2 disc version, including behind the scenes at WETA studios where they made all the miniatures. Skull Island and all the ruins etc were basically carved out of foam. I'm going to try to remember to watch this again before I get started on my basement layout eventually - lots of cool tricks shown with foam, moss etc.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Just finished watching the NASCAR race then supper. Thought I better have a quick visit here. Looks like a pretty good thunder storm heading in this direction, humidity must be 100%. Went outside to do an easy task while supper was being made and came in with the T-shirt sweat stained.

I wasn't sure whether Dave was stating that he was 49 or if it was his birthday. Just in case Dave [bday][bday][bday]

What a nice day today: Got up in the dark to set up and run the video switcher at church - only made one mistake per service - I'm improving! Then got to work more on my buddies' layout: see the photo thread. Then Junior did well in the race today and I got to speak to the Chief in person! Now to listen to the White Sox opener on the radio - I don't get their TV channel.
Happy Birthday, David!
Roy, ethanol is v. popular here in Illinois. Expect to be paying $3+ for gas this summer...
Ferocious storms rolling through.
Jim, hope you're feeling better.
My wife's back seems a bit better.
Tom, I feel for you. May this week and a half go smoothly. Eye issues are scary. I have the worst vision - whenever I used to go to the eye docs, they'd troop in a whole mess of students to take a peek at me. Thank goodness for glasses.

Happy Birthday Dave. Been an OK day here. Wife worked, so I worked at home-harder than any job I have done. Anyway, shuffle kids to church, then check on them between service and Sunday school and bring them to see mommy at the hospital. Back home, change kids, feed same, they nap, not me. Then, change kids again, wa***hem up and head back for evening service. Service done, snatch the ankle biters and head home to make dinner. I am beginning to think I'd make a good wife....ARGH! Can't I play with the trains?

Kieth, great to see the 1688 heading down the line on the Sunday Photo fun. I hope to add some photos once I get my layout running trains.

Hi Everyone !! Got back from the museum about an hour ago. Was fun to see a few of the little ones stop by & see the train run ! I would let them pu***he little white button & make the whistle blow !! Boy, their Moms sure liked that ! Yep, you cold say I was runnin' the whole show after the other guys all left !! [:D][:D] I had about 4 derailments, though !!
Keith: sure wish you were there, get well !!
Well, off next couple days for Grandchildren coming, will be busy, that's for sure !!
Thanks,

Good morning all.

I spent some time at a train show this weekend. Got plenty of bargains. Passed on a lot of expensive junk. One guy was selling O27 post war rolling stock for $5 each. I loaded up. Another guy had 60' streamliner coaches and a vista dome. Snapped those up too. All in all, I was pretty pleased. I passed on a few items I later regretted, but that happens at every show I go to.

Thr ridiculous prices asked for beat, junky pw locos just made me more determined to buy Williams reproductions. And the funny thing is, I see the same guys peddling the same exact locos every show. It's like being Bill Murry in Groundhog Day. I know what I'm going to see before I even get to their tables. When are they going to realize that they are asking way too much?

Spoke with the Chief late Friday night . . . or was it early Saturday morning? He's not as dumb as he looks. He figured it out that I wasn't really moving to N.C. He knows I don't work for a "company". It was just an April Fool gag. It was fun talking with you, Chief.

Gotta go post some layout photos in the Sunday Photo thread.

Good morning all,

It is cloudy and in the 50s with the temps dropping into the 40s by the evening in SE Indiana. We survived another round of tornado warnings last night. Happy belated birthday to Dave! I hope it was a good one. Tmcc man, I hope you get better soon. Roy, how did the soccer game go? I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all, Jim, have to agree with train shows and post war engines. We only have one train show that comes here once a year. Never have a guy selling $5. cars, even modern or MPC. I only have one Williams engine, the GG1, and I have to agree, they are great engines for about the same price as PW.

It is in the upper 60's and heading to the 80's.....again. I am hoping for a few days without rain so that I can put out some weed and feed. My prayers go out to those in the tornado areas. We tend to have a few of them every year and we are fortunate to only have had tree damage.
Have a great day,
Dennis

I passed on a nice MPC era Reading hopper for $5, and for the life of me, I don't know why. Ditto with a starter set Santa Fe tender, again, for $5! I do suffer from instant and temporary lack of good judgement. Is there a pill for that? And if so, what are the side effects?

At least I was smart enough to snap up some MTH streamliners. I got a SF vista dome and a Pulman dining car. Those were slightly more than $5 each, but still much cheaper than what I was willing to pay. Even managed to talk the guy down some. My buddy got 8 K-Line PRR O27 passenger cars for $200! Let me tell you, thay're pretty nice.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 56 deg with overcast skies and t-storms on the way, then falling temp and maybe snow overnight.

What a great time at the museum yesterday. John – glad that you had a good time and Thnaks.

Chief – John check my ears and happy to say they are OK. Now remember that John works on the real RR for over 20 years and in his professional opinion, my MTH sounds just like the real ones. So here is our conclusion, you are so used to hearing a southern draw in speech, that you believe that is normal and everyone else has an accent, and having too much sugar in your system, from sweet tea, that your hearing has become impaired. Would you like some references for hearing aids[?]

Jaabat – sounds like some great deals at that show. Even if you don’t like the cars, the parts (like the trucks) are worth more than $5.00 !
