LAZ walks into the PA DMV to renew his driver's license. Of course, he has to take an eye sight test.

The DMV clerk shows him a card with the letters: 'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z' Can you read this?" the clerk asked.

"Read it?" LAZ replies, "I know the guy!"

Supposed to rain again today. April Fool's has been going on all week for the weathermen. 80's today.

Have a great one all!

Good Afternoon,

No time for trains today. Worked in the greenhouse all day, about out of space, so have to stop potting seedlings soon.

Will be heading out to pick up our daughters family in Wilmington soon. They flew in last weekend and spent some time with his family first. My 11 year old grandson is a train fan so we will be running trains quite a bit I expect.

Chris, I hope the new job works out well for you.

A good weekend to all.

Boy was it fun crawling atop this layout with a drill in each hand planting homemade trestles for the elevated! It's nice to work on a project with someone.

Come on down. Maybe you will help remove the real way down south folks. Floks in FL feel the same way. Got my ear full from reps at BPS today. "Nothing wrong with legals, the otheres need shipping back." Feel the same way.

Tim, I had to do the same thing. Folks in Iraq will apreciate it. [;)]

Upstairs to rest. Sold 3 1/2 cases of one type of charger and 15 others. Done my work. Store went dead at 6PM. I stayed until 7. Godo night.

Good evening everyone, where its in the mid 40's today, just got back home from church serving on the video team. Gotta do it all again tomorrow morning for the two morning services.

It is nice to get the job....at least now I will be able to resume paying off and expanding my train collection. Also gonna try to see if I can get some kind of schooling in, even if its online until I can get a set schedule. Definitely dont want to be a truck driver the rest of my life, that's for sure.

@Pigseyes, I hope that was an April Fool's joke. Sending that much money to the IRS can be quite depressing, considering that the govt dont spend the money right anyway.

Chris, not only do many of us pay that much or more money in taxes, the federal government spent it four or five years ago. Since you live in Michigan the percentage of your income that is taxed by the state is more than likely higher than Idaho where Tim resides. Of course, you get more for your tax dollars in Michigan. You get to help pay for all the so called redevelopment projects in Detroit and as we both know, Detroit must be considered the gem city of Midwest with all of its beauty, lack of crime, cleanliness, honest government, and fantastic infrastructure. Yes, Daylight Saving (no S) time starts at 2:00 AM tomorrow morning.

Takes me a while to get adjusted to the time change. Seems to take longer as I get older. In the spring its getting up earlier, in the fall its staying later at work.

Yeah right! [:p] As far as Detroit goes, it still has issues no doubt. Only time when they tried to so-called clean it up a bit was when the hosted the Super Bowl back in Feb. Trying to look good for the rest of the country. Either way taxes suck, and unfortunately having to be bothered with them until our final day comes.

@Greg, yeah it really sucks having to change time alot....would be a nice time to live in Indiana, since they dont have to be bothered with the time change crap. Fortunately the time change doesnt affect me at all, only change I notice is the sunrise and sunset changes, but other than that, I'm not affected by it.

Good evening all,

Actually, Chris, we do have to change time in Indiana this year. I was in favor of DST, but now that it is here, I am not so sure. At least I will have more daylight to get yard work done in the evening. It was a cloudy and cool day in SE Indiana with the temps in the 50s. My wife and I went to a local production of "The Foreigner", which had an extra long intermission due to a tornado warning for our area. The Chief would have liked the show as it referred to grits quite often. It was supposed to be a comedy, but it had some serious moments in the second act. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening guys,

We had a nice day today. We went to visit our daughter who is finishing her 3rd year of med school. One more year and then she can put DR. in front of her name.

In a way I'm not looking forward to the next week and a half. I found out that I have macular degeneration when my vision took a strange turn a few days ago. All of a sudden every straight line I was seeing had a little bend in it. They said if I get the surgery quickly they can hopefully save the sight I have in the eye. That's a good thing. On Monday they put an injection in my eye that is a steroid and a lttle over a week later they operate with a laser. I urge you all to check with your opthamologist once in awhile to make sure everything is ok.

Just going to watch the Australian F1 Gand Prix. It's live tonight instead of tomorrow morning.

Have a good night all.

David, actually reply twice. Better yet, post his address, we can all reply.[:D][:D].

Tim. Sorry to hear about your recent loss. I know how close you were to them. I feel your pain. I went through it earlier. And then there was the fee to the accountant......bookkeeping and office expenses...... records to store.......... Oh heck, I'm not feeling well.

Tim,
I feel your pain.
Dave,
How about dropping an anonymous letter to PETA about the grotesque experiments your neighbor does with animals. [:o)][:-,]
Tom,
I have some of the same symptoms but mine have not grown for a good number of years, but it is imperative to see your opthamologist on a regular basis for monitoring

Good Morning everyone. We had a wonderful day with the family in the park yesterday. I got to be real tired after chasing children, but that was well worth it.

Tim, while I got a substantial return coming this way, I still paid more than a nurse's salary that did not get returned. When my son asked "why do you have to pay the government so much?", simple reply is that many folks refuse to work and we have to support them because some politician made promisses we have to keep.

Hope y'all have a good one. Supposed to be mid 80s today. My bride is working and I will be on Camera today at church. I just hope the nursery workers show up so I can get the kids taken care of.

Good morning, Checking in a little earlier than usual this morning. Have a few minutes before we have to leave for the 8:00 AM service. I have the sound system this morning. Daughter's family are here visiting from CO. Ran trains for the grandson last evening a little bit. I have to teach him to use the DCS and TMCC. That wont take long as he is a computer game wiz.

Tim, I actually got a little back from the IRS this year, but I owed money to the state.

Everyone have a great Sunday.

Morning all!
Anyone else trying to recover from having 1 less hour of sleep?
Yesterday, I got the lawn care started...Thathching and lime. Then we had a 20min shower as I put out the last of the lime. Hope that doesn't make a difference; but I don't think it will. I want to put down some "weed & feed" also, but we're expecting somemore rain within 24 hours. Accourding to the package, that's a No No.

Maybe I'll have a few minutes to work on my layout[:)]

This is not my day:
1) it rains,
2) I put new drive wheels on the 1668E torpedo and it took me week to figure out why it runs so wobbly over switches: I pressed the wheels too close together.......GRRR, back to the wheel puller
3) I soldered a horn/whistle contol unit together, I conneced it and now the horn blasts all the time on my B&O GP9, in stead of not a all

I reacon I could better have stayed in bed...
Nothing beats a finished and restored train car......

With the change in time I was up at 5 this morning. Read the paper, had breakfast, did the crossword puzzle, and finally caught up here since yesterday afternoon.

So far this weekend I managed to get the grass mowed, put in the post bases for one end of the pool and a couple of little odd jobs. Today I hope to fini***he last 5 post bases and then I'm done with the bottom frame for the pool. Wish I had some help, though I'm sure there'll be a number of folks here when the pool is ready to go.

Any one know of a source of traction tires for K-Line? I need a couple for my E8's. Two of existing ones are loose, stretched? Guess I might try gluing them on.
