Tom, is there a contingent of OTTS members going to the show? When? Is Tom S. flying over from NY? Is LAZ going to be there with his bear?

Yep - OTTS will have many members at the show. Even some guest from Tenn and MI as well as Tom S. from NY. Most of us are planning on Sat for the show. See the thread for it.

Tom, Are you guys going to have any kind of display, even if it's only a poster or banner, regarding the museum and the 3rail layouts being developed ? It would seem like a great oppourtunity to get some support from retired, or semi-retired, 3railers. [:D]

The NMRA Div 5 is making announcements as well has handing out flyer's on the museum. I think it is well covered. [;)]

Good deal, Tom. [tup]

Lightly snowing here today, so not too bad. Had the day off from work, but sure was tired and dragging most of the day. Tomorrow is St. Patricks day so I guess those who are into it will have a nice time. I have about 14 more days until my birthday comes in which I'll turn 29. Guess I better think of what I want to do to celebrate for myself when that day comes (which is the 30th).

Was out to the Angels Gate Hi-Railers last night, a couple of pics.

The first image is a little blurry, need to stop the engine next time. I almost got smashed, (darnn shutter delay! )

One of the guys kitbashed this station, the air vents on top are drawer knobs, the a/c vent is an overted box from a toy truck. FANTASTIC job, some people have all the talent.

Hi all,
Great day today. Sunny and warm. Put trains on the newly installed glass shelves. Looks neat. I need to load the program to down load pics onto my laptop. Our desktop is on the fritz. When I do I'll post some pics of the shelves and the layout. Well going to look at a few posts then study.
Good evening

Blarney!!!!! What a day. Did get a free lunch from a developer [graft and corruption] and lots of sweet ice tea. [:D] Packed and ready. Disked garden again after applying 400 lbs of lime by hand. [B)] Put nemotacide on [peuw, it stinks] and disked it in real quick as the blue birds were feeding up a storm [the freshly disked soil]. Row run and onions in the ground. Shade cloth on the greenhouse. Got tomato plants in big pots almost 2 feet high [staked with reeds from pond]. [:)] Now I'm tired as the cell phone has rung all day and the battery went dead. TIRED. LAZ. I thought you had once said you were pretty close to retirement. This is my 30th but with my son in school, a mortgage, and the sad state of the Maryland Teacher's Pension System, I will be working a few more years.

Still calling for some snow. It doesn't seem cold enough for snow to me.

Happy Friday Eve to you too.

Top of the evening before St Patty's day!

It was a wonderfully quiet day at work. That is a gift once in a while. Mitch and Laz, I've got 32 years in the system here in NY. With the incentive the state gave us a few years ago I get credit for 34. I guess a few more years after this and I'll call it a career.

I have the day off tomorrow. The doc wants me to have an echo stress test. It shouldn't be to bad and by noon I'll be done. Maybe I'll go find some green beer for lunch!

I'm looking forward to the train show on Saturday and seeing both my sons.

Have a good evening all. Enjoy the basketball. Go Kent State!!

TomS

I love a quiet day at work. Haven't had one lately. Enjoy your day off. Hope the stress test comes out fine. My secretary's husband had a scare with his heart the other week. He had to have a bunch of tests. Luckliy for him there were no problems in the end.

Enjoy the visit with your sons and the train show. Hope Kent State wins for you...[:D]

Dennis - congratulations!

Figuring out how much drywall we need for the basment - man! This will be expensive. Hope it pays off - maybe pick up some new train stuff - I'd like to get some switches and a long run of track.

I picked up MS Train Simulator at Walmart for about $10 the other day. Took a while to load. I let the demo play - not sure if I like it or not. Will play with it and see, whenever I get a break. Working a lot of unpaid overtime lately.

Helping our friends move into their new house this weekend, so it's shot. Oh well, paybacks....

Happy Saint Patty's day guys! Erin go Braless!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

LAZ - As for me I married an older woman... and I never let her forget it[;)][;)][;)] Actually she is just 37 days older. The other night we went out for dinner. When the bill came, she asked how much it was. I told her the amount and she couldn't get over the fact that it was a few bucks cheaper that she expected. You should have seen the look on her face when I explained that the server had given her the senior discount on her meal. She snatched the bill out of my hand 'cause she thought I was lyin'[}:)]. After a few seconds she got over it because it saved us some $$$. That's one thing about the Mrs. she is a bargain shopper.

Happy Friday and St. Patrick's day to all.
