Hello All: Weather is just plain miserable, rain wind & cold, I hope the April showers bring the May Flowers. Roy: You & your Fellow Texans have a safe trip to York. David: Best Wishes with your articles. Doug(the good grump): Nice cartoon. Tom: Visited your web site I was impressed, I still think the ice cream man in spring break one is David Verdun trying to tell those dolls he's a CIA man[;)]. Today was a fourteen hour work day, looks like the rest of the week will be the same(The double time is hard to take)[^]. All have a great week KIND REGARDS STEVE

Good Morning all,

NE Ohio is almost back to normal, what ever that is. Temp at 55 with light rain, like we need any more water. Rain / snow fall since Friday has been around 5.0” of water.

Doug – looks like the perfect car for PE Tim. It’s a must have.

Chief – you better be nice to me and Buckeye, you are coming North.

Buckeye – can’t wait to watch the new Video. Did you see that MR forum is having a ONE YEAR Party this Friday for their thread. But only we have the Video.

Pick of the Day

all be safe

GOOOD MORNING. Got things to do so did not go back to bed. Hope it rains. YES!! We have missed the rain now for two weeks. Dr. John's storms may not make it per Weatherscope [the local computer model weather thing]. Cloudy but nothing falling. Widow lady's grass to mow. Need to go to see Miss Edna today. Think I missed her last week. If the MTH hard copy is out, she will have one waiting for me. Ordered some more CN hopper cars from Grand Central [Miss Edna tried to order and Lionel said they were out]. They waited a week to ship [:(] but did not debit my CC until the day they shipped. First time they have been slow on shipping. [?] Think they are due to arrive today per their rep. Will have a nice string of CN and Gov't of Canada grain hoppers for a CN train. Why should I be nice to Tom and Buckeye?? Not going into the Buckeye state. Flying over. Coffee time. Have a good one and God bless.

Hey Everyone,

Up here in this part of Canada I got sunburnt on the beach. Ocean still way to cold to swim in but we've had five straight days of sunny warm weather. Lots of bikinis!
A good time to be single! Hoping to have little time for my trains this summer.[:D]

You folk all have a great summer!

Laz,

I'll be looking for you. I believe we have 6 tables on an aisle in the Purple hall.

Beautiful day here. Some had enough hail yesterday afternoon to look like snow from the air. All the bad weather went south of here, so all we got was a good rain.

Have a great day all!
Roy

Chief - the rain is heading your way. It hit here around 8 this morning and still raining, at least its a slow even rain (so far).

Since its a good afternoon to stay in I'm going to try relogoing a tanker I have without destroying the original logos. I intend to print the new logos on shipping stickers and cover over the existing. The first thing I want to try is spraying the stickers to change the background to something other than white. If it works I'll take photos in a week or two when done.

Only very light sprinkles. I even sprayed the garden. roses, grape vines and fruit trees. Not enough rain to even wet the leaves. Hope we do get some more. Need a good soaking. Found leaking water line at widow lady's next door. Water coming out of the ground so I could not mow over a big area. Got the rest done. Roger, good luck on the train car. OH, Miss Edna had sign that she is closed from now until May 7. She use to go to York but told me she was not going this year. Keep your eyes out for Miss Edna Todd from Wendel NC. She might have changed her mind. Waiting on wife to get home so we can go run some errands [hers]. Think I'll run trains until she gets here. Later.

UPS was late this evening. Usually comes by 11 AM at the lastest. Just got home [left at 6:30 PM] and box on breakfast room steps [usually on front poarch]. Must have been a stand in driver. Got my two [more] CN hoppers. Ran the grain train behind my CN engines. 21 "cars" [the news person used that word] of the NS freight [121 units long] derailed in NC today. That included 6 engines. Stopped Amtrac for a whole day. Later.

Has anyone checked out the on-line vid clip of the O gauge MTH FA. Just viewed it and maybe it is my sound card but it sounded more like a teakettle than a diesel engine. [sigh]

Buckeye,

Great job. Enjoyed the 2nd video as well. It had a sort of sepia tone to it on my computer, perhaps to match the old photos and the old memories of the Southern :-)

Dave, the program I use, will let me change the colorization of the photos, hence the sepia tones. I'm glad you enjoyed it. [:)]

ah ha; very classy job. Sort of had the O Link look

-----------------
Yesterday afternoon, BB the beagle chased a rabbit out of the woods and into a large bush gulch area between 2 sets of townhouses. You should've seen the kids streaming over to watch BB the beagle making loops thru the bushes sniffing out the rabbit.

Huge cheers from the kids erupted when out popped the rabbit with BB in hot pursuit. The whole adventure lasted about an hour and I'm sure that the kids will have some stories to tell. BBs rabbit howling got the other dogs going in the area as well.

Morning gang. Buckeye's Greenlight on the Southern is still my favorite. The room shakes as I pat my foot. [:D] BB has the kids going. They will be waiting for the next adventure of BB and Buggs. The older brother of the Skeet has a pack of beagles. He turns them out to run when I'm at the pond. Love that sound. Shirts ironed and packed. Off to a retirement thing for a buddy. No rain to speak of [a sprinkle to lay the dust was all]. Can you believe we are getting dry???? Dr. John, will stop by Sears today to check out the rotating laser level on sale for Craftsman Club members. Member discount goes off April 30. I'm sure you can join in the store. Have a good one and God bless all.

We dodged the worst of the bad weather yesterday. Most of the hail and other fun stuff went south of here. Just a nice rain.

Chief, thanks for checking on that laser level. I think I'll have to get one. I can probably make a run to Sears tomorrow PM. Just like trains, you can never have too many tools!

Hello Everyone ! Dave,Too bad you didn't have BB'S Rabbit chase on video. That would be something to see. When a Corvair comes through town does BB chase them also.? If the Corvair driver happened to be Jim Duda all he would have to do is throw a Peanut butter sandwich to BB and the chase would be over![;)][:D] Have a good day everyone!.....................Keith

I, and all the really savvy Corvair drivers carry two things with us: 1 - Peanut butter sandwiches for the beagles, and, 2 - candy for the girlies. One keeps them away and the other gets them in the car...
