He poped in a couple of times after he moved but nothing in a long time. Didn't he say it would be a while before he could get his trains going again???? Sure miss him.[:(]

Buckeye, For the price that Trainworld has them I couldn't resist any longer. About half the cost of a Hudson or a Berkshire, now I gotta find me a C&O caboose.
I won't comment on the weather, just to say I need to find my sunscreen. [swg]

Doug, I have a set of four C&O passenger cars and a REA box car following my Mikado around the track the majority of the time.

What's sunscreen? Is that something you put in your window of your house to get more sun in the room?[:D][:D]

Everyone have a good day and to all of my Buckeye friends, keep warm it is almost spring where the temperature will be a balmy 35 degrees.

Tom,

Yes, MTH was very nice, polite, and even tho out of warranty they repaired it for free. Too tired to open the box last night and post more pictures.

John (CSX),

Pretty exciting posting pictures, thanks to Tom's instructions.

Al,

Be careful roofing in -20 f temps; stick near the chimney where it's warmer.

Laz,

Don't get chief started; enough hot air coming out of NC for a heat wave

Morning gang [late]. Got to dry out here before any planting. Seeds are coming up in greenhouse [now wife thinks we need to add on to it, been telling her that for three years]. Get two weeks off. Tired of airplanes. Get to drive to Hampton VA tomorrow. Prayers for Trevor. Jimbo, they moved the Grand Opening of Cablea's in Ft Worth to July 14. That is the same Grand Opening date for the one in Buda [Austin] so I will not get to worry you for a few days. [:(] They also canceled the Wheeling WV event so now Buckeye is safe for a while. [;)] Got lots to do today and need to run to "Miss Edna's" before leaving town. God bless all.

Morning all!

Laz - if we fnd that boxcar - the goal is to do it in 8.5 years (1 case a day!). Obviously we want it to be a refrigerated boxcar with a good supply of fuel!

Sunny (finally) and 60's today.

John - nice work!

Have a great day all!

Wife is in for a good beating. [you believe that don't you????]. Came in Monday afternoon [gets home at 4:30 PM] and wanted to know why I had not cooked dinner for her. She knew I had Dr's apt and etc all day and I had just gotten in too. Sat and whined all evening as I also had Town Board. Call and get her voice mail today. Told her I had steaks and potatos and would have them ready when she got home. Broke my neck and rushed to be sure I got it ready. She calls at 5PM and says that she is still at the office. Told her I had left her a voice mail. "OH, I had not gotten it off the phone." %^*@~)($%^ is the exact words I said. "Well, if you are going to talk like that, I not coming home." ~^*()@# was my answer. She is on the way home in a hurry. Food will be cold when she finally gets here. WOMEN!!!!! [:(!] She whined all weekend by phone as I had been gone too many weekends in a row. She went to a Tupperwear party last night and I did not say a word. She will go to the mall all weekend if I am home. [banghead][banghead] Now I have two new John Deere cars [flat with trailer and one flat with two tractors and two NS beeps to get even [;)]]

Just finished adding two sets of switches into the grandaughters' carpet dogbone so that they can reverse direction of running and hopefully increase the play value. So far only three derailments.

Now if only Grandma believes this reasoning.[swg]

Yep. Stay busy. After this weekend, I have two off [which includes Easter]. Hope to get Christmas trees in pond, more work on pond spillway, grass carp in, fertilizer in pond, garden prepared, rows and beds done, yard cleaned, some little trees cut and all limbs and trees ground. OH, neighbor's yard swept for pine straw for wife's flowers and shrubs. Not much going on I guess. Somewhere, get started on train tables for layout. Use to do all of this and do a full day's work for the Gov't. Now I get to SLEEP later. [:D] Off to bed as got headache and cough. I do want to reflect back. Since Dan Rather is retiring as Anchor [but still reporting]. I reflect back and remember him most as a reporter on the front line in Viet Nam. Sometimes I did not agree with him and CBS on their reporting [they have always been anti-tobacco and anti-gun]. I do have to say he leaves with the words every man wants to hear. "You did a good job." Here, a little over a year ago, we started the "Coffee Pot". It has grown due to all of you. Some have gone other ways but as far as I know, we have not "lost" a single person due to going to the "promise land". We have laughed and teased each other, helped each other [trains and personal], hurt inside for each other, prayed for each other and become a "family" of our own. Thanks to this "Coffee Pot", I have great friends I would have never had the privilege of ever knowing. God has blessed me through travels, major surgery and everday life. I am glad to be able to share it with all of you, my friends. So as Dan Rather said in closing. "Courage" I agree and as I always say, "Good night and God bless all."

Greetings from the public computer at the local library where I am killing time reading the latest Model Railroader before picking up the moody daughter ($90 for dance shoes! What!) at her dance shoes. Got to admire how you handle it all, Chief. I came home tonight to find the kids running amok and the wife exhausted on the couch. I let her go take a long bath - while we ate, cleaned up and put the baby the bed. Now she's spiritely again and watching some chick flick while I run the family errands. Not that I don't enjoy doing it for her - too bad the hobby store just closed! Have a good night.
