Night has fallen on Tequilla Sunrise Division. Road foremen are anxious because soon the tracklayers will be adding a third rail. But the shareholders are happy and the railroads stock is up.

Thanks, Roy,

Hope the stomach virus goes away. The night shot is taken under a full moon (actually indirect side lighting).

HEY GANG,
FINALLY after 2days of sniffing and hunting I finally hunted down the CHIEF (with TOMS help). He was at BPS in Harrisburg, Pa. and believe it or not we met at the front door, no this is NOT a love story or anything of the sort. I snuck up behind him and said that I smelled GRITS and he said I know who you are and then we proceeded to have a great conversation of all sorts of stuff, about two hours worth. If you ever have the oportunity to meet the CHIEF by all means do. Even though hes fron NC we won't hold it against him. He is a GENUINE real good guy and knows his stuff with trains like other guys here[;)] oh yea and battery rechargers for fishin boats.. So if he is at BPS or Cabelas near you stop in and see the CHIEF he will be glad to see ya. Thanks CHIEF wish I had more time but had to go back 30 miles and help my brother start his bench work on his layout. We bought the homeasote and cut and started the 1X4s for the frames got 4 put together. Start up again tomorrow. Played with trains tonght for 3 hrs was GREAT. See yuz gizs tomorrrow on SUNDAY PHOTO FUN.

In the 40's here this morning, but a raw 40's, cloudy and threatening rain.

Just finished helping the Mrs. paint a guest room, goes fast with two working on it. Seems like a good afternoon to watch the race on FOX and then run the trains a bit. I miss my old layout, though small, that I used to have in the TV room. I could run trains and watch a race, football, etc. in the same room. Now all I have is a carpet dog bone loop for the girls that I'll put something on to watch go around.

Hello all,

Still suffering from this cold. Supposed to hit low 70's today. Spring has already begun as the weeds are starting to grow like crazy. Need Jim D and some of his girls to come mow it (so I can watch).

Autorama custom car show is here this weekend. If I can muster myself, I will take my son to it this afternoon.

I was at the Train Show and the Sports, Vacation and Boat Show, both at the fairgrounds. I would give this GATS Show a B-. There were no O Gauge Layouts, only N and HO and the famous Lego Layout which I don't consider a O Gauge Layout. Also, I could not get the $2.00 off coupon to work on the website so I had to pay full admission and with parking at $4.00 we are talking about a $12 admission fee. (If you have seen my reports about the Springfield, Ohio show at $5.00 total cost, you understand my complaints.) So it is not a B show. [^]

When I can buy JT's smoke at a show, see a good selection of Williams, and tons of MTH and Lionel products, I consider it a good show. This GATS show met those average basic requirements. The show was fairly crowded with many children. I saw several youngsters carrying purchases out of the building, a good sign. [:D]

The Boat Show was great, but not as good as Cleveland's at the IX Center. Cleveland is one great boat show and well worth the admission. I did pay my deposit for fishing in Canada at Totomenai Lodge near Wawa. This is my sixth year going there for fishing. [:)] Fishing and trains a great combination. [8D]

Well goodnews/badnews day.
Goodnews: Supposed to stop raining today, FINALLY.
Bad news: Supposed to start again tuesday and rain thru sat. UGH !!!!!!
Buck, After three ******* GATS in a row I will not darken their door in the future, finished.
Considering going up to Longbeach next weekend for the "Worlds Greatest Hobby
Show". Don't know what to expect though, sounds almost like a trade show from
what I've heard..
PETim, One of our members that I was chatting with at the club BBQ last nite has
a second home up there in Idaho, must be gettin old I forgot the name of the town,
but they have started an "O" club, Rented a historic building in town, $75/mo, and
thats where they have set up shop. I believe he is signed up to run next friday so I'll
find out the name, but I think it's in the panhandle based on what he said.

Doug, I think that club is in Lewiston if I remember correctly, about 100 miles south of me. I had considered joining, even at that distance. But let me know in case my memory is not correct.
Am going to the Model Train show next Sunday in Spokane, not much O gauge but there is usually a few vendors. Gives me a good excuse to get out for a day.......Tim

Well back from that frigid YANKEEEland. Met some YANKEE at the door of BPS on Saturday morning begging for GRITS. Some crazy name of LAZ. [:D] Tired. So off to bed I go. Don't be too loud in the morning as I'm sleeping late. [:p] Really good trip. Saw a Conrail engine towing screened auto carriers this PM as I left BPS. First real Conrail [now NS] engine I had seen in years. One of the part timers at BPS Marine Dept works full time for the M&H RR south of Harrisburg. Has invited me to come early when I go back in a few weeks and ride his train. Its a short line. GOOD night.
