Bakeer - I think that is the rosiest the weather has ever been posted for Stockport.  If you and your everlovin' would want to relocate to the "Colonies", I might interest you in a 17x13 layout room with a 3 bedroom house on top...

...oh, we don't have a ROBINSON'S, but there is a HOOTERS nearby...

Congratulations to John Bakeer, I wish you many years of happiness and train layouts.  Just when I thought my health problems were getting better something else came up today.  I went for an eye exam and was told I have cataracs in both eyes.  The left one is worse than the other.  I have an appointment to see an ophthalmologist on August 11th.  I hope I can get this fixed by the time I have to go for a drivers test in October.  I don't think I would be too good on an eye chart right now.  Ray

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a foggy 60 degrees. Sun is breaking thru. Going up to a sunny 85.

Today is a busy day. I have chores to do inside and outside. Then, a few errands to run. Mowing is not needed yet. Have to tie up the tomato plants again. They are growing like crazy.

No time for trains today. Later in the week.

Dining car is here and it's Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning all,

It is hot in SE Indiana.  Dennis, glad to see somebody else from a good part of the country (Indiana) posting here.  I was at the F-1 race you described.  Glad I don't do NASCAR.  Chief and John Bakeer, congrats on both situations!  I had bacon and biscuits on the dining car this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.  Got to run.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

PS Did weights at the YMCA, upped the number of reps by 10.  Ouch!

Morning all. Sunny and warm here again. Congratulations John!

I see the last open spot in the old railyards I cross over on our approach on the elevated ROW into the downtown Chicago station is fenced off for a new condo development.

Lotsa places for a nice layout in Chief's new digs.

Thanks for the nice words guys, still regaining my breath.

Had one hell of a storm last night, put ERNI's lights out, blew the microfilter. Fortunately had a spare but it took me all day to work it out, old age beginning to tell, a bit like dial up after broad band.

Sun's shining now and the birds are coughing.

Life's a breeze.

John, thank you for the good wishes.  I hope it can be fixed without a big problem.  We all take our eyes for granted until something goes wrong.  This is a fairly common problem from what I have heard with getting older.

Chief, thanks for the pictures.  Looks like a lovely place.

Afternoon all.  Been on phone all morning [well, did watch hunting and fishing while eating a few strips of bacon and three waffles].  Time Warner lady helped me delete an email from a buddy that continously locked up computer if you tried to open it, move it or delete it.  Had to "pull the plug" to shut it down and re-boot.  Been going on for ver a week.  She had me highlight it and another email next to it.  Right click and delete from menu.  Moved both to deleted folder.  Then dumped all of deleted folder.  Worked.  No we all know how to get rid of a pesty email.

Wife going to pick up a new puppy in a few minutes. Banged Head [banghead]  Part of deal.  I get Lake House and she gets puppy.  Wait a minute!!!!  She likes Lake House too.  Done in again. Shock [:O]Dead [xx(]

Leaving Town Hall and going to work on a siding where I can "kill" the power and store Big Boy.

Hey!

John B - congas on the new betrothed and possible new LIONEL ROOM!!!Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Brutus - have you seen that deal about the 22 y/o St. Louis paramedic that was shot?  I received an e-mail about it and the article.  Long and short, under fire, another firefighter was by his side from the time he went down until he was buried.  A sad story, but uplifting at the same time.

More humidity and rain today, Stormed really good yesterday, more on the way today.  I'm in the middle of pulling the engine from the Satellite (tomorrow night is the finale of this segment), hope I won't get drenched!!! Banged Head [banghead]  I got my Atlas Gold Spike Club Car MAN IS THAT HUGE!!!  Picked up some more G Series Hot wheels for the layout, I have 6 more in packages awaiting my return to place them nicely on the layout.  Just been busy with work and the new car project.  i wanted to run 'em last night but was waiting for phone calls.

If you all could, say a little prayer for my Uncle (in the hospital then to nursing home for 3 days) and my Aunt (who it handling this all very well).  Been a little stressfull since Sunday PM for sure.  Hope he's over the hump and cruisin' soon!  Thanks guys!!Angel [angel]

Work is a joy, the end of the fiscal year i looming large and I have to get everything closed out.  More fun than I imagined....

Lunch time, gonna head out and get some junk food I 'spose...needs to be quick as the thunder is booming out side my door.

Stay safe and well, my friends, see ya on the flip...

Rich, prayers from here.  Know what it is like.  Been "threating" Mom with "Senior Home" as she gets worse [mind wise].  She wants to stay at home.  "When I married Lum [my Dad] in 1945, I moved here and have lived here ever since."  "This is my home."   Sad.  But one day unless the Lord calls her soon.  She is 92.

Good afternoon;

Finally got a day off from my job. Cut the lawn or should I say cut the weeds & crabgrass. Got the riding mower stuck by the pond, hooked up a rope and pulled it free with my Corolla.

Still need to find a clothes dryer, one on back porch not working right.

Chief, nice metal buildings, however I wouldn't use one for a layout as down here in south Florida it gets too hot.

Waiting for the daily rainstorm to hit.

Lee, the big enclosed storage building [one with big X on doors] is wood with floor.  Mentioned it to wife and she suggested a window unit for summer and electric heater for winter.  Roof needs insulating.  Told her I would put in a gable end fan too.  It is over 20 X 10.

Chief,

I didn't know the building was insulated that well. Most buildings I have seen down here are just steel with a roof on them. If you put in a window air conditioner make sure it has an adjustable thermostat on it so it don't run the compressor all the time, that can make your electric bill higher.

I'm alive!!!!

Dropped off MIL last night at Boston Logan for trip back to Chicago.  She called at 12:45 am to tell us she got home OK, woke me up.  Two minutes later, phone rings and it's FIL to tell us that MIL made it home OK.  Banged Head [banghead] Banged Head [banghead]  Do two phone calls saying she's OK mean she's not ok?  Must consult Dr. Nelson on the math here and it's meaning.

Try reading 7 pages of POT.  It takes some time.  Yow!  Haven't even had time to get to the other threads. (2.5 pages of thread titles alone).
