Get them to practice, "Has it stopped raining?" Sending it up that way. So humid you sweat standing still. Big billowing clouds everywhere.
Off to Miss Edna's with tons of veggies in a few. Been on phone on Town Business all morning. Got garden picked [was raining yesterday afternoon so could not then] and now dripping wet. Off to the shower first. Nephew's B'day and a ribs cooking for him at 6 tonight. Bet it is raining by then. Looks that way now. Later

Yes, Train America developed this product. (Side note, Train America is located in Ohio) I don't know if it is still available or not. Here is their website. http://www.tastudios.com/
Well, I found a TMCC signal booster at Train America. Unfortunately I can't find any info on their site regarding this item other than the catalog info. It would be nice if the ops/install info was available for review/decision making.
Thanks Greg, we must have been posting at the same time.

Does that mean you need fewer Mulligans off the tee than previously ?
Made it to the NMRA train show in Anahiem, yesterday. A few thoughts; (Show runs all weekend).
- Saw two local TV news promotion for the show in the morning. Both reported it as the "Largest Train Show in the Country" - Wrong
- Parking $10, Admission $10. Then had to walk from one end of the complex to the other to get to the show. Was probably a 15 to 20 minute walk. I don't mind so much but there was an elderly man, alone, in his 90's, that had parked in the handicapped spot, and STILL had this long walk. He was making the tiny 1/2 steps, and I would wait at a corner to make sure he was making it. At the time there was no one else in the concourse we were walking thru. Then an escalator, after I got to the ticket booth, I found a supervisor for the facilty, and suggested they should post someone in the concourse to make sure no one passes out, or falls. His response is the show didn't pay for anyone. I suggest they do something for the people that really need assistance, (I was concerned about this old guy, and knew there would certainly be others. Again, indifferance, I said he might if he could remember it, suggest something for the elderly people for future events. YEA Right! They need a lawsuit!!
Back to the Show -
- The entire area may have been equivalent to the Orange Hall, however 2/3's of it was taken up with layouts. I had NEVER seen so many layouts in one place! AND they were huge. The entire center sections were layouts and there were 2 aisles of vendors on one side and 3 on the other.
- MTH had a booth there, rather nice one. And Mike was even there. The western region sales manager recognized me, and should me some of the new features on a G scale Triplex that was on display. When the whistle blew, smoke came out of the WHISTLE! Now that was cool! Sounds like they are working on having it come from the pistons as well in the near future. They had all scales on display and running.
- There were 4 booths total that had O gauge engines/cars available, either 2 or 3 rail. Lots and Lots of scenery, modeling stuff for HO, and N scales.
- Saw one booth that had a shelving unit that was affixed to the front edge of a layout. The unit was actually an elevator!! The shelving unit was at rest providing for a empty track on the top shelf which was integral to the track plan. Leaving shelves of trains in front of the layout down to almost the floor. Then, the unit was activated and it would rise vertically and the desired shelf would align, and the train driven off. What was being demonstrated was Z scale of course, but they had pricing plans for everything up to O scale. (4 foot long, $389). I asked about the weight limit, and it could handle a maximum of 44 to 46 lbs.. For O scale a maximum of 5 shelves. Let's see, Big Boy engine, Cab Forward engine,.........whoops that's it for the weight.
Took me 2.5 hours for the show, I ended up with a Cababaoose, Blinking Billboard, some cows, and tombstones all O scale. And a 11 deg Ross turnout, which I had made previous arrangements to pick-up.
Overall, I enjoyed it!! Some new ideas from the other gauges, and lots of fun watching the kids, and their reactions. Enjoyable afternoon. Worth the $20, but probably more for watching the other attendees than anything.

Good Evening everyone! Rich, sorry about the loss. When I lived in south Florida, had a cadillac that they attempted to steal twice. I had installed a secondary solenoid that turned the starter off, unless activated. They still broke a small window twice and one time damaged my I.A.F.F. plaque that was in the back.
Well, I am still on call and have had to go in already today. Fortunately it was only for a short visit. I will have to do rounds after church tomorrow. Also have to take some time out between services to help the guy who was dismissed. Hope to put a resume together for him and also be an ear. Really want his life to turn around. I am on the main camera in the morning, so I will have to take some Aleve before church.
I have some new additions to rolling stock and scenery and plan to add some more when I head to Jersey next week. Has anyone ever visited the Island trains store in Middletown, NJ? May make a trip there to see what I can find. Really want to get to my favorite train store in Mt. Lakes, but that is a bit too far. We shall see.
Time to head to bed. May God bless you all this week ahead.

An interesting day after falling in bed exhausted from playing golf in the heat. How do the pros survive out there?
This morning Mrs. Buckeye and I took the Red Cross Training for Disaster Relief Shelter Staff. When I asked how we keep rascals from Roseyville out of the shelter with the good people, they said that was no problem because the rule emphatically states that no pets are allowed. This would mean that the Chief couldn't get in with his pet pig.
Talked with an old friend from NE Indiana today. He and I grew up in Boy Scouts together. He is still in Indiana and I'm in the big Buckeye City. We are still friends after 40 years. He received his Eagle Scout one year before me.
I'm heading back to the Hoosier State in August to see my buddies. Jon.....this will be of interest to you. Last year as we were sitting around drinking and talking about the old days when we realized something about the group. We were not part of a great football, basketball, baseball or other sports team. We were all in band together, even the guys and girls that played sports. Everyone of us had been in band together and became best of friends through music.

Mulligans........What's a Mulligan? Remember Buckeyeland is the home of the great Jack Nicklaus. BTW, this is a great read: http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/07/18/sports/GLF-British-Open-Nicklaus.php
HI GIZ,
Got up at 545 again today toook dog for a mile walk then headed out for a nice 6.5 miler. Was nice and cool at 68 but about 730 just after I got done it starts to get muggy. Had to wring out the t shirt twice, must be the OL MIL coming out of me? Well at least I made room for more tonite?
Wife had her friends over yesterday for cook out. Nice people. Ran trains for em, NO PILE UPs. They were impressed.
BUCKEYE, no MULLIGANS?, ha you should play with us, we can gaurantee at least 7 strokes off your game. Me and BRO cheat the same in GOLF.
Stay cool going to 95 today?
B good or B goone,
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 75 degrees. Going up to 88 today with a slight chance of showers later.
I couldn't get into the Forum, earlier. That's why I am late posting.
Today is a less busy day. I have a few usual chores and then I will relax and enjoy the shade tree. Might run some trains later. Peaceful and quiet is a nice day.
Dining car has been here and breakfast was the usual.
Y'all have a great Sunday.

............
Rich,
I always worried about getting my 1969 Corvette stolen, and some of the things I did were common sense and some may seem contraindicated.
I never left anything in the car worth breaking in and stealing, and nothing within sight, not even a roadmap or pair of sunglasses. Back in the day there was no such thing as audio with removable faceplates. Second, I would not lock the car. I figured if someone wanted in, they would smash the side windows and get in and do a lot more damage.
I had a security system (Chapman circa 1973) that locked the hood, had an ignition cut off, a motion sensor, and an electric draw sensor (door open activated courtesy light and hence power draw. Then the real backup....I had a hidden fuel pump cutoff switch. If they got through the Chapman siren, hood lock, and the ignition cut off, then popped the ignition switch, and then got the car started, they might get a hundred yards before fuel starvation set in and the car died.
Had t-top locks too because these popular itms were quite pricey to replace at the time and were stolen with regularity. When I went out in fair weather and wanted the tops off, I often left the t-tops back home in the garage or in someone elses' place.
There were two attempts on the car. The first was right out of my locked detached garage on the rear of my property, car was not locked (DougM.... Route 94 North around the Peterson Avenue exit). Someone had been watching or following and decided this was the car for them. They busted out a panel on the garage door and reached in to unlock the overhead garage door. When they realized the OH door lock mechanisn was not engaged but the garage door opener would not permit the opening of the OH door, they simply kicked in the access door that opened to my back yard and used the oh door release to get the big door open. But the Chapman did the trick. Apparently they did not want to be trying to pull the ignition with the siren blaring in a quiet residentiial neighborhood at 3 am while simultaneously trying to dismantle the security alarm and/or defeat the Chapman hood lock ignition cut off.
I was awakened by the alarm and, dressed only in boxer shorts, made a dash for the garage, stopped dead in my tracks halfway there, and ran back into the house to 911. Took Chicago's finest 12 minutes to respond while the whole while the alarm blared and the neighbors were all rousted, tempted to lynch me. Alarm would not reset because in their haste to retreat, the would be thieves left the car door open (current draw).
The second attempt was at Montrose Avenue beach on Chicago's North side (DougM). I would drive there (sans t-tops on this day) to do a Laz 5 miler on the lakefront at about 6 pm. Got back to car. Went to put key in ignition but found it dangling but still operable after I disarmed the system. No one wanted to try to defeat the blaring system with all of the folks walking around in broad daylight. Car was safe. T-tops safe at home. But an ignition switch to replace.
Look.....if a true car thief wants your car, they will get it, probably somewhat easily because they thoroughly know all the prevention measures. It's the amateurs that don't get the car but waste the car stealing something inside.
Rich, you will get a kick out of this. I moved to Edison NJ (job related) and would train it to NYC for business or monkey business. There was a tiny 12 slot commuter rail parking lot in Avenel NJ that was isolated from the road by weeds and industrial buildings. When I pulled in, there was a 1968 Corvette sitting up on hard wire "egg" crates. Took everything except the body, frame, instruments, and brake rotors. Unsettled, I drove away.

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
MIL in town for 10 days. Need advice from you guys.
Chloroform !
DougDG......I sent wife and MIL off to the mall, so that will buy me some time. Would call wife's cell and tell her to pick up chloroform while they are out, but she'd get suspicious. May grind up some Sominex and put it in the potato salad they are going to eat later. You sound like you have some experience in this area!

Use some of my Priority Club points [140,000+] and get a Holdiay Inn room for a week or a Candlewood Extended Stay room. Tell wife work is sending you out of town. If not that, buy cotton balls and stuff in ears. Tell them you have ear infection. Find MIL boyfriend to keep her busy.
Evening all. Did NOT go to FIL's to pick blue berries. To hot and humid. Went to pond to spray some cudzu and came home soaked. Did NOT work at all but just walke around with sprayer. Came in and stayed cool and watched TV. Now going to rest somemore and watch TV with wife.
Tomorrow. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.
Start building a box about 2 feet wide 18 inches high and six feet long bet she leaves sooner than later

GOOD EVENING ALL
I'm tired, just returned from Northern Ind. where we had our little family camping trip. It is a Jellystone camp so lots of things for the little ones to do. Four days with the kids and for the most part the grandparents let the kids take care of there own..No trains, just enjoyed the family. When we got home this late afternoon I picked my first tomato so now the Chief can stop tempting me with his BLTs, I can have my own....S.J.

Hey, welcome home Sir James! Have you seen the TARDIS keys? I think I might have left them on your kitchen counter? Next to the cookie jar?
RT - good idea! Maybe get one of those dress-maker's tape measures and make a big deal about "sneaking" measurements? My own MiL left this morning on an early train. And after I picked all those mushrooms for her down in the woods, too! Chloroform might show up on autopsy, boys!
Here's a little something for you golfers on here,
(Rancho Santa Fe) -- - Pro golfer Phil Mickelson's Rancho Santa Fe home is on the market for between ten and 12-million-dollars. Its a five-acre property with a huge main house including a hand-carved stone and marble interior and a guest house. Why Mickelson is selling isn't clear but Mickelson has been a San Diego County resident for years. The 38-year-old pro has won 34 PGA events, including three majors, and has made tens of millions as a pro golfer. If you're interested in the property, it's listed with a Rancho Santa Fe Realtor.
Start digging under the couch cushions for all your spare change.
Mornin' boys. Blazin' (might hit 101) here in the Newport News region. Big storm (Cristabol,or something like that) turned east.
Had a nice leisurely drive down here (took 301 to 17/stayed off 95). Did Busch Gardens Saturday night (and yes, the smallest princess had to visit the whole stable of Clydesdales...). Spent all day yesterday at Water Country, and now I have pink belly. Bought a straw fedora, which fifey's-wifey calls my "old man's hat". May have to wear black socks with my sandals for her. The gang is having fun though. Back to Busch Gardens today, but may not stay long due to heat.
Did catch a CSX coal drag headed s/b on the peninsula. Tomorrow will be headed back via ASHLAND,VA for some rail action.
Do you miss me....?
Morning all from Sunny Southern Ohio
Nice outside right now but it is to get hot and humid later with some rain. Bummer about the car getting broken into. Our daughter in Cincinnati has had her car broke into twice and I keep telling her don't leave stuff in the car.
I bride wants to paint bedroom so that will occupy the rest of my days off. I may try to wait her out
All take care and may God bless
Jim
68 and not to bad here at 545. Went and did a nice 4 miler this morning and got soaked with sweat. When sun came up so did humidity. Going to pull weeds again this morning and then get mulch. I am also getting house sprayed for spiders and other crawly bugs today.
No trains yesterday maybe this afternoon? Its suppose to be another hot humid one, then suppose to break either tomorrow or Wed.
BRUTUS, Fire up DA TARDIS my wife has cheesecake!
B good or B gone,
Hello everybody (you too, there, Fife...)
Supposed to be the hottest day so far this year...gee, I just can't wait....
Spent Sunday trying to unload my car parts at the monthly swap meet. Seemed to me that it was mostly Harley parts. Sold 1 part for $5, so I had a net loss of $15. What a wasted day. Did get in to see the Yankees win over Oakland, a great 2-1 pitching match up. Showered and stayed home the rest of the day. Bummer. LTS was busy Saturday, lots of people at the exhibit and buying things. Stayed late again for a customer with cash in hand.
Boy started to get estimates and more serial numbers. I hope those idiots try to pawn 'em off. I'd love to see who a dun it...
Daughter has dance team practice tonight, so I'll be trying to spend time doing something else, not sure WHAT yet.
Stay cool and hydrated...I'm going to attempt to do my inside work later, so I can get the outside done BEFORE the BROILER kicks in.
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Mornin' Fellas.Busy, Busy, Busy. Got the deck stained, 4 ton picnic table moved back into place, also got the crown molding installed in the master bathroom, trim primed, moved the light and fan switches in the toilet room, put my foot through the ceiling, cut my back on a roofing nail, burned my arm on the drill bit, and my face still itches from the fibre glass insulation.Rich - yes got your rant! Fife - You've been gone more than around the last 3 weeks... kinda hard to miss someone who hasn't been around in a while. Chief - moderation my dear man, moderation. note to self - fast for 4 weeks prior to visiting Chief
Have to stop at the BMW parts dept today to pick up the grommets for the new hood emblem... cheapest parts on the car... $.70 each! Also need to get some touch-up paint to fix a couple stone chips. Guess I'll see if I can get an 'estimate' on the A/C repair while I'm there. I know they have to open up the dash and dig into the center column to get to what is messed up. Probably looking at at aleast 10 hrs work. Then have to stop at the diagnostic center for a drug test for new job.Not much else to report. Hope everyone enjoyed their golf outings and smorgasboards/bar-b-ques.
Mornning all. Getting ready to go to have lunch with Garner Mayor at big shot Capital City Club. Then County Commissioner's meeting followed by steaks at Carvers [Wake Co. Mayor's Assoc. meeting]. Tummy will stay full today as had waffles and bacon for breakfast.
Fifey, glad the rain went out to sea. Have fun and be careful.
Hope all have a great week. BTW: gas prices have dropped some.
