In the picture below, (a little in the abstract, but you get the idea) is the solution.  No unsightly wires, no switches to wire, just bolt this on, and run some sectional track to the other room.  Notice that there is a window in the background, and the bench unfortunately is not very tidy.  But a couple of search light cars and you've got the lighting your after.  Fully adjustable in the X axis, and the spots on the lights tilt and turn 360 so that will pick up any directional issues.

Yahtzee!!!  That's really thinking outside the box (the orange & blue box for sure)...

So posting over the next week may be a bit sporatic...Shock [:O]

Train club is getting the 12 x 28 foor modular layout in shape for the Thomas event here the last weekend of March and first weekend of April. Rewired layout and equipped it with quick disconnect plugs, including all the buildings and accessories. Should make install and teardown a snap!

Hope everyone is having a good day today!

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm glad to see that the Chief is back. It was such a stressful week, one that I really didn't need at all. So for today and the rest of the weekend, I'm just going to relax. Speaking of relaxing, the Formula 1 season starts tomorrow night at 11PM. I am staying up to watch it, and it's live from Australia. I'm rooting for Ferrari.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

I am glad to see there is another F1 fans on the boards.  I will also be watching, but my rooting interests lie with BMW.

Nope... If my failing memory hasn't done so again... there was a section on your layout behind some buildings near a passenger station that you sought insite as to what to do with... near the time that John started his scenery thread.

OK, Brent.....I hear ya...........No, I still have not figured it out totally. A lot of you guys had some good ideas. I was going to put a passenger platform between the tracks, and then I realized that I do not run passenger trains on those tracks. Duh......  But, I think I will put some fencing and small trees in there. I could also put some building faces in there to make it look deeper. Maybe some small hills too.

A thought about air bubbles in the smoke units. I was having trouble with air bubbles in a diesel up on level four that requires me to stand on the top of a three step ladder (I know that is a no no but a regular ladder doesn't fit.) and after adding fluid I put the empty dropper in the hole where the fluid was just put in and squeezed the bulb. Bye bye bubble!!

Good Morning,

CHIEF-remember your own advice:Ignore,Ignore.

WE have a sunny morning going to 50 today, then back to 40s. slept a little later this morning as wife did not have to go to daughters today. With errands done ,mag. done, not sure about today yet. The church is having a fund raiser for their school, spagett.diner tonite, big deal,I have to take our own food and then pay to eat it. I'd rather just give them the money and stay home.My wife says they are having a sauce tasting contest so that as why we are taking food with us. Well I am going to enjoy this sunshine and go from there..A good day to all,,,,S.J.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 44 degrees. Going up to 54 today, with a chance of rain later.

Today is a less busy day. I have to run a few errands and then the usual chores at home. Later, I will relax in the train room. Running trains is a good relaxer. Slowly, but surely, I am getting the scenery done on the layout. I need a few more track sections for sidings ( UCS ).

John...I enjoy your posts too.

Well, Dining car was here and left for " points west ". Breakfast is done.

Y'all have a great Friday. I know Buckeye will !!

Hello Chief:

I am glad to hear it.  I didn't want people to think I was monopolizing the Board.

Although I only got about three hours of sleep last night, I feel significantly better today.  I was able to go downstairs and be on my feet for about five minutes without any pain.  I go to the physical therapist today to see what I kind of stretches/exercises I can do to maintain this level of progress.  Needless to say, I am excited!Big Smile [:D]

I remain hopeful that I will be up and around this weekend.  It was no fun watching my son ride his bike from inside the house Sad [:(]

On the train front, I am hoping to hear from my LHS about my Legacy/GP7 order.  Plus, I have my laptop already to go to upgrade my DCS system.  I do need a serial adapter card...

John

Speaking of "The Clapper" does it still go on & off in sink to the beat of heavy bass drums being played over a stereo?  That was one thing that kept me from getting one of those years ago as a friend of mine showed me how he did that with his stereo system, also at that time they were sensitive to loud noises as well like a dish breaking on the floor or a dog barking.

And a hap hap happy FRIDAY (Thank you!) to everyone here on th 'pot!

Yeah, Brent, I had to re-read that one twice....either too earlyZzz [zzz] or too much workBanged Head [banghead]

Spent sometime with my choo choo yesterday, trying to figure out my Powermaster...turns out I can only use this one for conventioanl, I have to buy another for my TMCC engine.Banged Head [banghead] and so it goes.  A very frustrating experience with this, so tomorrow even though I'm not working at the LHS, I'll go in the AM to see about another Powermaster to run my TMCC.  Have a company softball game tomorrow @ 3.  Been working out prior and so I'm not as sore as some of my "juniors".  It's pretty funny, I'm 20 years older than most of them and I can out run half of 'em.  'Course I can't see or hear worth a lick......Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Among the MANY things going on, I've gotten the Dragon Wagon ready for the drivetrain pull.  Just waiting for the moron new owner to fork over the cash and pick it up.  Then we can start on the '73 Satellite.  Check out what it SHOULD look like when its's finished (double click on it to make it bigger):

Welcome home, Chief.

Up to 75F today partly cloudy then rain this PM.  80's for the softball game on Sat.!

Later, Guys (and gals)
