HI GIZ,
NO SCHOOL TODAY cause of the weather. 3-6 inches then freezing rain? Got driveway done and neighbor ladies too. Don't know about ALLENTOWN TRAIN MEET tomorrow maybe will have to go on Sunday?
KURT love the idea of the wood shop and saloon all in one. Sounds like it needs a sign stating," have fingers will drink?"
DOUG, OLD MIL and scholars kinda go together? Cause as YOU KNOW, "It don't get any better then this". YES 800 lb. BRUIN is there at combines, seeing if he can find some fresh GREEN BAY PACKERS?
MITCH, too bad all kids should get the opportunity to run power tools. BIG POWER TOOLS.
BRENT might have to have a section for BUCKEYE OUTDOOR ADVENTURES? CANADIAN LAKES, HOCKEY RINKS, OUTDOOR STILLS, and games like CURLING to watch and drink beer outdoors?
NEED to have a contest to name my 800 lb. BEAR. I just call him laz's 800 lb BEAR?
Running trains later.
B GOOD or B GONE,

I'M think of OLD MILLY da BEAR?
FIFE, yeah who needs an excuse to drink beer? But CURLING ah a game of strategy and wits? Also a thing to do with your arm while hoisting a 12 ozer?

Maybe Tuesday is Free Straw day!
In school we always dreamt of combining a bar and coin-op laundry. 'Cause what else are you going to do there???? Watch the game, have some suds, and get yer laundry done!
Bubinga! The 800lb. bear!

FIFE a little spilt beer on ice might be a good strategy for getting a smooth slide? Wouldn't even need those brooms? Too much like work? Drink a little spill a very little? On second thought might not be a good idea?
KURT, has a ring to it. BUTTA BING?

Been doing some more painting this morning, walls almost completely repainted in train room, now makes the other upstairs(second floor) rooms look bad. The upstairs was supposed to be finished but looks like it was only ruff finished, doors had to be re-hung properly as locks don't fit the holes in the door frame, walls need to finished like putting in putty around corner joints, walls need to be repainted or even painted for the first time. The electrical seems like another nightmere to overcome as well!! Seems like the guy who built this place was a real clown!! I only moved in about three & half years ago, my (girl friend at the time)wife was living here after her first husband died, so that is how I got all these problems with the house!!
Had a new roof put on about three years ago after a hurricane came through and got water leaks inside the second floor. Re-did the irrigation system as well, there were two large pump motors on the back porch that were supposed to do the irrigation system but I never got any water out of the old system so I put in a new system, dsiconnected the pump motors and left the old system to rot away in the ground!!
Have been working on a couple of post war train items; 1) a Lionel 2035 steam locomotive and 2) a 6460 crane car, need new string for the crane car after servicing it completely; took off the wheels and cleaned the axles with sand paper and lubed the axles and put them back together, also lubed the couplers. Tried some sewing thread that looked a bit heavy duty but it broke so now I need to replace the string again, had no string when I got it.

In honor of my 200th post!!!, (not much compared to lots of yuz guyz), 79 and sunny in Jax, FL (SE GA). Spent some time pressure washing part of the front of the house this afternoon. Put blue construction paper on the walls in the dining room between the top level and the ceiling (the better to see the smoke). Waiting for Legacy Command set to arrive at LHS as want to switch out the TMCC in the original train room (the room with five levels). Wife is in France visiting her sister for the rest of the month so I'm batching it.
Laz; How about a sign in front of your establishment: "Bear Beer Barrel Polka every Friday night."

Good evening all,
It was not a very good day in SE Indiana. The good news is that I am ok and in one piece, which is more than I can say for the PT Cruiser. To make a very long story short, I was involved in an accident on I-74 westbound on the way to work. No one was hurt, and I do have a rental car for class tomorrow. It has been a very long day. I have the utmost respect for all the law enforcement, paramedics, and tow truck drivers that go out in all kinds of weather and road conditions to help idiots like me who should not have been on the road in the first place. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mike,Glad you are OK, cars can be replaced, people can not. I took had to venture out today, but only because I took too much time off from work last year... going to be a bit more conservative with my vacation from now on, probably save 3 or 4 days for inclimate weather related days off.
Mike....An accident on I-74 could have been tragic. Glad to hear you are okay.
Just returned from the Sheriff's Office where I renewed my concealed weapons permit to protect the good folks of Ohio from the Chiefs raiding parties.
Ice and more ice today. So far I have the drive under control.
Chuck, the wife loved the gift you sent to me. I need to buy some scented smoke such as bacon and eggs.
Brent...I believe that you should put a saloon on your layout. Put replicas of Laz, Don and the rest of the coffee crowd heading into the establishment. The name of your saloon???? Bullshooters Bar and Grill.

MIKE, glad you are OK. Like BRENT said car can be replaced.
Well ran BB and FEF, and SD40 tonite all good NO PILE UPS. Going to bed now getting up tomorrow take dog for walk then do my 3 miles on treadmill before going to ALLENTOWN TRAIN SHOW. Can't wait.
All have agood one?
Wow - Mike! Glad you are OK. I cracked one up many years ago not paying good attention to the road on a sharp curve and it is just a cruddy feeling that takes a while to go away.
Really nice day here today. If it cracked 50 I don't know where it happened - but it got sunny and was a beautiful crisp day.
Had to go back to eye doctor to get my 4 prescriptions for reading, computor, modeling, and bifocals. I just need to wear that multi-lens optical thing they check your precscriptions with - add TMCC to it - and I can just spin the CAB 1 dial to get the focus point I need. Also ended up with an eye infection - I think they gave it to me when I was there Wed for the initial visit. I have not had an eye infection in over 13 years and that's just because that is how far I can trace back.
Have a great evening all!
Regards, Roy
Mike....Glad you are OK. Sorry about your accident.
Breakfast wouldn't be the same without you.
Chuck
Good Evening all

Mike, glad you are okay! Went really slow getting to work this morning with freezing rain, but when I got off tonight the main roads were cleared off pretty good. Basically spent the evening getting through a bunch of emails and stuff, so sorry I wasn't on here ealier. Sir James, it's too late now, but I'll come over tomorrow - promise! Doug, hope things have cleared off in Chicago. Was talking to a guy who has training in Chicago and he's going to take the train from downtown St. Louis - apparently it's just like $37 for the businessman special where you can sit back and even plug in computers and stuff? Does it go to Union Station in Chicago? I guess?
Old Milly the Old Mill Bear - pretty good! How about Laz's Sawdust on da Floor Saloon?
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Mike, glad you are OK. Keep us posted.
Sturg, battery tender will be a great help. Cranked my farm tractor the other day. Been 6 weeks and it fired right up.
Lee, sounds like you have a very smart wife. Married you and got you to do all the "handyman" repairs.
Long day. Town Board retreat. Came home to go right back out. MIL in hospital with pneumonia. Seems tons of it around here now. One lady at Town Hall has it. My Town Clerk's Mom has it. I had it the other week. Now I'm back to runny nose and sore throat. Most of the staff at Town Hall has colds. News tonight was commenting on Duke Hospital's emergency room is being over crowded with flu and pneumonia. Buckeye must have flown over and sprayed NC with germs. Came home from hospital with a box of Bojnagles and ate. Immediately reclinerized. Woke up with 33 emails to read and sore throat.
It amazes me that someone who has never used SoundStop is such an expert poster on the subject. Oh well.
Fife, one day the princeses are going to read your posts. You will wake up one morning with certain parts of your body painted RED [probably with the help of MOM. Learned long ago, princeses and Moms stick together].
Off to bed.

Mike Glad you're Ok!
Bride to take the girls out this am and leave me to 'da trains! I'm thinkin' a bridge to a siding next to the desk. That's rather unobtrusive...just need to move the desk. Great tips on the bridgemaking. I'll make the plate girders out of the leftover 1/8"plywood, and use plastic for the vertical reinforcing members. Should be able to park a whole train on the siding.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 25 degrees. Going up to 34 today with light snow. The snow on the ground has a frozen crust to it. Rain froze last night.
Today is not too busy. I have an errand to run and then I will be spending some quality time in the train room. Need the relaxing. Looking forward to a train show in the Spring. Winter is too long.
Dining car is here and ready for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Well off to the SPRING THAW, ALLENTOWN TRAIN SHOW. YEAH!!! We are usually gone by now but with the weather decided to leave at 9, to let roads get warmd up. Going to take it a little slower today. We have till 4 PM.
CHUCK, outlook for MARCH is weather to come in like a lamb? We'll see?
