G'day Lars!
Check the "answer" over at the bar - coalminer 3 hit it on the "head"!!
Good one . . . .
Feeling a bit nostalgic - hard to believe it was "so long ago" when we took this train!

G'day Captain Tom!
Remember that expression - peeing into the wind Well this question on this rather 'dead thread' is akin to that!
So, WHAT is this place and where is (was) it
Until the next time!
Lars
Check out this B&O beauty My grandfather would've loved it - as I'm sure my dad DID!
Good Late Morning Captain Tom!
Just left the bar and thought it time to provide a photo for this lonely thread of yours . . .

BK in Alberta, Canada's beautiful high mountain country!
So, it's New Haven over here as well, huh A mighty fine road . . .
Lots more over at the bar . . .
Greetings Captain Tom!
With the New Haven being the "Theme for the Day" over at the bar, why not a little more of it over here
Enjoy - and see you at the bar!
G'day Captain Tom,
Power failure kept me off-line since Saturday . . . just left a post over at the bar where things are a bit more active than here at the "morgue"! <grin>
Was going to continue on with the SOO - but it appears that I'd be talking into the wind . . .
Here's something that I enjoy viewing - over 'n over!

James - good to see you again and perhaps we'll pursue the SOO tomorrow! A check of some earlier pages will reveal several Posts on that road . . . just a matter of doing an advanced search.
G'day - as used by several of us is simply: Good Day (Aussie style).
You will find that this Thread is very sparcely attended and hardly interactive - unless you happen to be online with Lars - BK or yours truly. Much more activity at the bar called "Our" Place - where I spend the majority of my online time.
Catch ya later and enjoyed your web site! Nicely done, fer sure, fer sure!
You will find that I will stick with this thread. I'm one looking for the new threads and I seem to have found it. Classic passenger trains are some of my favorite.
I get to see many passenger trains since I work at a Museum. I work at the North Shore Scenic railroad in Duluth and get to see the Empire builder scheme allot. Our passenger train is made almost entirely of Great northern cars.
The SOO 700 was repainted last year and looks quite pretty. This is on our train!!
To keep the trend of pictures going look at my website: www.freewebs.com/cmstpp/
BTW what is G-day????
James
Just like old times, huh You - BK and moi here on "your other thread"!!
How many times have we seen it - guys stop in - guys ask a question - answers and info provided - then we never see 'em again! BUT "James" is the exception to the "rule"!! Good to see ya and to this modest site for the dedicated few! <grin>
Here's one to continue on with the "theme" . . .
Milkwaukee Road #54 (from: www.trainweb.com)
Well I'm glad to hear that!! The Milwaukee road is the railroad I have been interested in all my life. My father is a big Northern pacific guy and for some reason I never really went into that railroad even though I like that railroad also!!! The Milwaukee electrics have always interested me and of course the Hiawathas.
Morning Hiawatha , from Chicago to Minneapolis.
Good Morning Captain Tom!
I see this thread is still up and running! I will give it a "go" for our newcomer, James and Post something he may enjoy . . .
Milwaukee Road's Pioneer Ltd (1946) (from: www.wikipedia.com)
Later!
James - Aboard! Of course the Milwaukee Road is a "classic" in every sense of the word. We've Posted all kinds of info on that fine railroad on these pages - just do a 'search' or begin checking out the past pages - it's all there for one and all!
Don't know if you're interested, but there's a much more interactive Thread (site) on this Forum that you may find interesting - "Our" Place, an adult cyber bar 'n grill where the talk is all about "classic trains" along with some good times thrown in.
Hope to see ya either here, there or both!
from: www.trainweb.org
I am new to the classic trains forum. I mean I have not been to this side of the forum before. I was hoping I could join this little talk on classic trains, since, I am a classic train person. I model the Milwaukee road and the Hiawathas. I am just "guessing" that the milwaukee road is a classic railroad.
I would like to start talking about this kind of thing since it fits in with what I am doing.
Here's a quick pic.
I thought the erie builts with the Chicago to Seattle Hiawatha seemed perfect for a classical train.
Sticking with the Canadian "theme," try this one . . .

So, in honor of your return to your "other thread," here's something that should make your aging heart go pitty-patter!

Can't let you run "solo" indefinitely - good job at keeping this Thread alive - also, similar kudos for BK!
Here's something a bit different that I just Posted on another Forum . . .

So, what will it be today Ah, domes . . .
