G'day Captain Tom!
Been a long, long day for me - left my "Theme for the Day" post over at the bar - some great stuff from the guys today!
Here? Hmmmm - good to see James again - and UP it is:
Union Pacific "special" being made up with business domes (www.trainweb.org)
Nice pic!!! Look at all the dome cars..... Were did they get them all!!!!
Anyway came to check on things here. I can see quite a few nice pics out there.
One quick question.
The Adult classical talk, above this thread... How does that work. I would like to start to post in there but I need a bit of help on what I should do....Some of the talk is complicated, so what would I have to do?
I like it here, and everyone is really nice..
Could you help me out.
Sorry that this is not a passenger train, but this is such a cool picture, I had to post it!!!! I will post a passenger train next time!!
James

We have been notified that a photo used on this Thread has apparently been used without the permission of the photographer.
I have no other information with regard to which photo and so forth.
In my own case, I use Trainweb.org and Trainweb.com for many photos and will review the caveats and so forth on those sites to ensure that no violations were made by me. If they were, they weren't deliberate. Mea culpa (maybe).

Tom
I just received a message from a photographer who had a photo taken from his site and posted in this thread. Are you guys keeping in mind photographers' copyrights? Giving credit to TrainWeb doesn't cut it. TrainWeb didn't take any of these pictures.
Just something to keep in mind.

G'day!
Enjoyed the UP "stuff" - great domes from Lars!
Now changing gears, here's something from our recently concluded trip to Alaska and associated rail journeys . . .
ARR Coastal Classic at Anchorage
Good to see the return of James and with a UP passenger train Pix at that! These pages are chock full of UP "stuff."
Thanx to Lars & BK for their continuing efforts at keeping this Thead "alive" - without you guys, this would definitely be history . . . get's rather ridiculous talking to one's self, eh Much prefer the interaction over at the bar . . .
Something seen before - but we never grow weary of the "classics" 'round here . . .

I haven't been under hear for awhile but I'm back. I see everybody is looking at UP so I have a little picture to show.
I know the locomotives are not so classical but the train behind it... well.. you get the idea!!
Have a good one!!
Nice one, BK - most appropriate.
Doesn't this look like FUN

Good Morning Captain Tom!
Some wonderful photos over at the bar that are definitely in keeping with the classic trains theme and the significance of this day . . . .

BK in Alberta, Canada's beautiful high mountain country!
Feeling rather solemn today, so let me simply leave this for all who care about freedom and what it takes to maintain it:
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL! I am and can't wait for the kick-offs to begin. Tonite's game over at the Meadowlands will have my Giants squaring off in the overly hyped "brother quarterbacks" game. Just think - months of Sundays in front of the "tube" followed by the playoffs and Super Bowl. <yikes>
So, we're really "doing it" with the steam locos, huh This is like the "dueling banjos" in "Deliverance!"
Ok - here's two more . . .

Yes, you did start something good! And there's no reason why we can't continue with 'em - at least we know three guys interested in the classic locomotives!
