G'day Tom , yes that lake steamer did have a large funnel. That is the Northhumberland built in Glasgow for the Canadian Govt's PEI ferry servcie accross the Northumberland strait to Nova Scotia. It came into NS&T service in 1920 replacing the much smaller and older packet steamer Lakeside. Ran until 1949 when she burnt in Toronto Harbour during the winter layup. Two triple expansion steam engine in that beauty built in 1903 if I remember correctly could do 20 knots.Another NS&T shot from the archieves.
