No Tom not hyperactive just "Energized" Here's the evening one for today.
Some classic MLW 6 axles for everyone to enjoy. These are approaching the CPR grade crossing at Arkel Ontario just down from our museum and where we get anything rail shipped to us.
Surely appears that our trolleyguy Rob has been super <hyper> active on this lonely Thread!
Here's one from me for this mid-week day . . .

Good afternoon folks. Here's one for today. Another shot from teh museum today, this is PCC car number 4000 the first of the eventual 700+ that the TTC purchased. This is a 1938 built air/electric PCC as opposed to the 4600's which were all electric, there are subtle body detail differences as well as the mechanical differences.
Final shot for this evening, another loco that is no longer with and that was only built for the CNR.This is an RSC13 a 1400hp A1A trucked 244 engine powered raodswitcher that was designed to tip toe over the PEI and NB branchlines that were made of 80lbs or less rail. These same branchlines kept a trio of ancient Mogal class steam engines 2-6-0's in service to the end of steam in 1959,two of which are still around 136,and 29.139 is still used by the Tottenham ( Ontario ) excursion called the South Simcoe railway.29 is at Delson /Exporail in Montreal.
As promissed a shot of CN 1708 in it's last years of existance late 70's right before CN axed all 244 engined power from the roster in 1978.
Good evening here's something different.
A shot of a CN RSC24 right before they were retired in the late 70's. Only a class of four they were purged with the rest of the 244 powered loco's in 1978. They were built with light weight branchline rail in mind A1A trucked with 1000hp primemovers and a small shorthood in front of the cab for the upgraded road switcher electronics.Basically they were a 1000hp 244 engined S4
Afternoon again guys, lets complete the trifecta of the 4600 series PCC's we have at the museum.
This one is the class leader 4600.
Morning folks , here is another shot of one of the 4600's soon after they arrived on the museum property, this one is 4618 ( now our east end ice cream shop )
G'day again folks.
Too bad the Chariot wasn't out and about. it is fully operational and such a neat car. The amazing thing is that all four of them are still around in various museums, three stateside. It does only seem to come out on high days and holy days, same as the one at the Seashore Museum in Kenebunkport. Great "Mike" as well. Nice to see Lars pop in over here too What a trooper
Another museum shot
PCC 4611 arriving in the summer of 1993. She appeared along with sisters 4600 and 4618. 4600 been the workhorse daily operations PCC since her arrival ,4618 is now the ice cream shop and 4611 is now operational as a back up for sister 4600/ All were ex Birmingham cars.

Good Morning: A fine selection of interurban pictures.
There are several books out there re PRR calenadar pictures. You can find them at most of the usual online sites. IIRC, there is also a book about Grif Teller - calendar artist for PRR. Apologies to all if I messed up the spelling.

Our two opeartional interurban cars. Montreal and Soutnern Counties number 107 built by Ottawa Car Co in 1912,and London and Port Stanley 8 built in 1915 by the Jewett Car Co.
I see we've been visited by Jim! As far as I know, there haven't been any fotos "lifted" from RR calendars - for mine, I always try to identify the source - unless of course its obvious. Anyway, if you're interested - you may enjoy what we do over at "Our" Place, on this Forum . . . check us out by reading Page 1 . . .

Our Classic First car. Toronto Railway Company Built 1326 manufactured in the TRC shops in 1910.
enjoy
Really nice pictures, looks like one of the old Pennsy calendars of the 1930s& 40s. Are any reprints of those calendars still for sale? For the ones who couldnt' get to different divisions, they kept you up to date on the classes of engines. Just a memory bouncing off the walls of a rock cut.
Another Jim
Y6bs evergreen in my mind
It is amazing how old things die hard eh Tom this thread has it's own life though,I'm sure it will go away kicking and screaming. Great cover as always sir Lets see to todays offering.
