Hope everyone is staying toasty warm today.  It's very overcast here, with a good breeze blowing outside.  On the warmer bar, you will find the following pizzas for our SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST:

1.  Canadian Bacon
2.  Cheese
3.  Goetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Pepperoni/Sausage/Mushroom
6.  Supreme
7.  Anchovie (especially for Jay)

Since I didn't make it back in last night, for a late evening snack, there will also be, around 9 p.m. EDT, popcorn popped in the fireplace.  Sounds nice and warm, doesn't it.

Now, to get my potato salad fixed for tomorrow.

Never ask for Canadien Bacon in Montreal . I did , the waitress in her pretty little french accent simply said ,"that's bacon , this IS Canada, any questions"?..... got to admit , she had me on that one !!!

Had a very nice day with Carl and Pat. As planned, Pat and my mom went looking at antiques and me and Carl stayed by the train tracks. What a parade Union Pacific sent through. We saw 16 trains while Carl and Pat were with us and three more after they left. My only complaint about today is the cold temperatures. The high only made it to 36 degrees.

I doubt that I will be in tomorrow, so I will wish everyone a happy Easter right now.

And a good, Easter Sunday morning to everyone out there. He is Risen!!

Since it looks like I am the first one in the Diner this morning, I'll take charge of serving breakfast. The coffee is brewing, and I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice. On the menu for breakfast: bacon, pork sausage links, scrambled eggs with or without diced ham, blueberry pancakes, banana nut muffins and Cinnamon rolls. Better grab a roll while they are still warm! Chef [C=:-)]

I will be baking bread for my family's easter dinner later this afternoon, there will be quite a mob when my brothers, sisters and all the neices and nephews get together.

I hope everyone has a good day!

Good Easter Sunday morning to one and all!!

Ray, how come you've been a stranger in here lately?!?!  And thank you very much for the very nice breakfast this morning.  That coffee and juice sure are good this morning, to me:  I've been sneezing my head off all morning.

I've got Sunday Dinner in the oven:  one and a half hams are baking as we speak.  The side dishes will be shelly beans w/onion cooked in them, corn, potato salad, Watergate salad, deviled eggs, mashed taters w/brown gravy, fruit salad, and a bunny shaped and decorated cake.  Also have dinner rolls, crescent rolls and homemade biscuits (they'll go on in the oven about 12:30, so we can all start eating at 1 p.m. EDT).

Everyone have a great Easter Sunday, and don't let the kiddos have too much candy this morning!!

HE IS RISEN!!

Happy Easter everyone!  It's been a good great weekend for me.  Yesterday I asked the love of my life to marry me and she said yes.  You'll all be invited!  Hey CW, do you know if the DDCS can be rented out for the reception?

Joe, that's why we usually have at least two bars of Lava soap in the house!!

Dan, thanks for the cheesecake(s)!  I have a little bit of strawberry cheesecake in our fridge, that I got yesterday.  Going to have to make sure I eat my oatmeal in the morning, just to help with my cholesterol!!

And Dan, I also want to extend my congratulations and best wishes to you and your fiance!!  May you both have a long, beautiful, and very loving marriage together.  And yes, I imagine JHH will let you rent the DD/CS for the wedding reception.

Congratulations, Dan!!!

Did everyone have a great Easter? I hope so. Today wasn't too bad for my family. We went to spend the afternoon with my grandparents and of course we had a good Easter dinner.

Two more days of vacation and then back to school. The weather looks like it will be kinda-sorta good, but maybe some rain. Oh well.

Well, congrats, Dan!  Spent the day with my own newlywed couple, attending Easter services, then enjoying dinner and a pleasant afternoon.  The only down side was that heavy lake effect snow I encountered on the way south this morning.  It had quit by the time I headed back home, though.

I think we might have a "house band," too, to provide the music for the reception.  One heck of a horn section...

B & O Royal Blue would work!!

Maybe Matt could play the Drums?!

I haven't played my Harmonia in Years, so don't think that will work!!
