Last night was very stormy here in Omaha. Winds were around 50 - 55 mph with the gust front as the thunderstorms came through. Also a few penny sized hail stones here at home, but only two tenths of an inch of rain. Dewpoints were quite low, so the lack of rain didn't really surprise me.

Now it is in the upper 30s and lows for the rest of the week are going to be in the 20s with highs only in the mid 40s. This crazy Nebraska weather is going to about drive me out of my mind.

My mom has come down with bronchitis, so please keep her in your prayers.

....We've been having beautiful weather here in central Indiana with lots of sunshine bringing out the blossoms, leaves and grass to mow, which I've done already 3 times.

But....by later this week they say we may see some some snow flurries.  Sure that's possible, but at this time of the year I don't let such talk bother me too much as even if it does {flurries}, they will come down and in a short time all will be gone...Ground too warm now for much action out of any snow.....

It's raining here right now, won't say it's coming down in "Mookies & Mutts",

but still rather hard. And if the forecast holds correct, we may have to borrow

Joe's Snowshoes by the end of the week.

Ah, "Derby Time around Louisville"

(which is a great place to be from; very far away this time of year!!)

Willy, our NWS Radio has been going "crazy" for about the last hour, seems to

Rain started here about 7:00ET. The wind has really picked up with lots of lightning. From what I've seen so far, I'll be picking up limbs again. The wind is taking care of our "helicopters" from our water maple trees. But that's a good thing.

LM, They said the most severe is down your way and to the southern part of our great state. Be sure to let everyone know how you all faired down there.

Joe, we might have to borrow those snow shoes. 46 high on Wednesday and then low to mid 20's for lows. At least Easter does look to be dry. I can take the chilly weather.

Everyone have a safe night.

We had rumbles of thunder, but no lightning in our area; but the east end got a bunch, and probably responsible for a house fire, that they called in extra equipment on.  Blew our recycling bins to the middle of the yard, and downed our 90 gal. garbage bin!  That has only happened once before (with the garbage bin), along with a limb from the pine tree in our front yard.  Sure am glad that we got that oak tree cut down last month, in the back yard!!

I believe we're supposed to get another round, later.  But so far, the weather radio is now quiet!!

I've reloaded the warmer bar with some more Mexican food for tonight.  Everyone enjoy!!

Today, being the 33rd anniversary of the April 3rd tornado that almost blew Brandenburg,Ky. and Xenia, Oh. off the face of this earth, has a lot of people

remembering what happened then. Louisville was hard hit also and if I remember

correctly, some chairs from Freedom Hall here were found in Xenia.

Don't recall any trains being blown off the tracks, but service was slowed for

a couple of days thereafter while debris was cleaned up.

mmrmphmmfff......silly rabbit muffler - will set him by the fire to let him warm up!

It's cold out there!  20+ and windy.

Willy - hope Mom is better.  That bronco-titus is no fun.  I wonder if that is what CW might be getting.  Nose runs are bad this time of year and especially bad this year.

I need a nap...right after I pour coffee - I think I hear Joe coming - table for 2, please.

Good Wednesday morning, all.  We've got temps in the low 40s this morning, and the rain has ended.

Mookie, my chest doesn't ache like it does, if my bronchitis is acting up.  But my throat is really hurting this morning.  Think I'll give the dr. a call after 9, when the office opens up.  Nose isn't dripping or running, but it is open and I'm not all stuffed up this morning.

As Mookie attested, the coffee is on, hot tea and hot chocolate are available this morning, and fresh juice is made.  On the warmer bar, you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, fried taters, and tater tots, scrambled eggs.

Everyone have a good day, and I'll see you all later.  Mutt went back to bed, and I think I'm going to join him.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers for my mom. She is ever so gradually getting better, but she is still pretty sick.

It was cold this morning! The low temperature was 21, the wind chill was 6, and there was some light snow. Ed doesn't know how good he's got it down in Houston!

Today is the last day of school before Easter, so I finally have a decent vacation only five hours away.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Think I'm beginning to feel a tad bit better.  Slept for a couple more hours.  Did fix some soup for today:  vegetable beef, chicken noodle, cream of tomato, cream of broccoli.  On the counter, you'll find saltine crackers & oyster crackers, along with wheat crackers for your soup,  and also on the warmer bar with the soups, you'll find grilled cheese sandwiches and "fried bologna" sandwiches.

Probably meant "drizzle" Sometimes the keyboard has a mind of it's own

I think today I will just have fruit. No appetite for the great diner greasy spoon stuff...maybe again it's jsut the heartburn.

Things here are going well, my OB found I had high blood pressure Monday, and had me on bedrest. So I did that, drove me crazy too. I hate being tied down to one place, I have to do things, and keep busy, or else i would go insane. I went in again yesterday and my blood pressure dropped back to normal. But they are still taking precatuins, seeing if I don't develop something called "Preeclampsia"....  I think that's how it's spelled. I doubt it, cause in order to have preeclampsia, I wouls have to have a reading of 140/110, where mine was about 130/110, usually runs about 120/110. It was a jump from the last doctor visit. I don't have blurred vision, only have sinus headaches, (they ask for "unexplained headaches") and pain in the upper abdomen.  Tomorrow I am going back to Gainesville for another appointment, and hopefully things will check out fine. *fingers crossed*

I went to Target yesterday to get one of those travel systems for Sadie, and I fell in love with it afterwards. It's a stroller/carseat/infant seat combination that can work with each other, and I just love it. Probably one of the best investments that I made this month so far.

It's hot and humid here, I think it's getting past the 80's here. Blah! No wonder people tell me not to get pregnant during the summer...it is uncomfortable! One more month, to two weeks to go now! so I am not stressing about it too badly.  We need rain and lots of it....Sindsome of your rain and snow our way

Duff, hope you get to feeling better, SOON!  I'm not much better, and Mutt is under the weather, also.  They say that it takes two weeks to get something, when you've been exposed, so I wonder what we've been exposed to!  Thankfully, he doesn't have a sore throat, just feeling very blah.

I've put some more soups, and sandwiches on the warmer bar, so everyone help yourselves.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!  Yes, I'm feeling much better this morning.  Sore throat is gone, and I feel more human today.

Coffee is ready, hot tea and hot chocolate are ready, along with freshly made juice.  On the warmer bar, you'll find all the regular breakfast items.

Brian, like that new smiley face on your post!!

Mookie, since you're "hangin' around" this morning, just make sure your secured tightly, so you don't fall!!Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

If any of you have any requests for lunch and dinner today, please let me know, and I'll try my best to comply!!
