Think I'll fix some beef, mushrooms & onions, with brussels sprouts, corn, green beans, and salad for lunch, along with a some lasagna and Italian bread for Sunday Dinner today.  How's that sound to you all?

Everyone have a good morning, and see ya later.

The beef, mushrooms, onions, etc. are now ready, and on the warmer bar.  Desserts today:  chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, and apple pie w/ice cream.

Nice day yesterday on the railroad - the A/C car felt really good later in the day!  Too nice a day for people to ride, though - if it weren't for the bus tour trip first thing in the morning, we'd have been pretty low on our numbers.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome], csxt30!  Just got back from a shopping foray- took Joanie to Wal-Mart, where she willingly took advantage of one of their electric carts.  Looks like we might get some more rain here this afternoon, the radar is really starting to pop.  Also looks like Duff got a nice dousing last night, and the fires north of her should be good and out by now...

I think I can whip one of those up for you, it just might take a bit to find everything again.

Rain, rain, rain, rain...you get the idea.  But we need it, so it's ok!

Sir Mutt, I do keep in shape for Lifeguarding (12 years and going strong!) and I welcome a challenge!  I saw one of my Personal Training clients for probably one of the last times today.  He's dropped 114 pounds and is off of diabetic, blood pressure, and cholesterol medicine.  The thank you note from his wife was one of the nicest things I've ever been written.

Afternoon all........

Back at home for a bit to take care of some odds and ends before heading back to the Germantown-Richfield-Menominee Falls area for more of my CDL training.  All I'll say is that I can at least shift and back up a semi, and we will leave it at that.  Seriously, I've had a good time so far, and I should be okay for the rest of the gig.  The hotel does have internet, and my current roommate does let me use his laptop, so I have been looking in from time to time......

Dan--LawDog omlettes?  I'll have one or two, with cheese, bacon, and sausage.  I call them LawDog omlettes because his receipe was the first one like that I have seen.  Speaking of the LawDog, try The LawDog Files  for interesting insight, comedy, and good food and drink receipes.

Back later for something..........

Nothing but rain up in my neck of the woods.

Goooood Saturday morning, everyone!! Sorry about getting in so late, but we saw Sarah off to work this morning, then had a good phone conversation with Mutt's sister, in Northern Ky.   So I'm just now getting into the Diner.

Lance, thank you for putting the coffee on, making the juice, and bringing in the danish.  Think I'll take an apple danish and a raspberry danish, along with my coffee,

This is our annual WHAS Crusade for Children weekend around Ky and Ind.  The fire departments are all out collecting money for children born with Cerebral Palsy, and other birth defects, and whatever a child is suffering from.

Bob, I'm also wondering how Ia Brian is fareing this morning.  From the national weather map I saw this morning, looks like maybe Duff is getting some much needed rain!!  We've got a fairly good chance of seeing rain later on this evening, and tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.

Guess that's about all the "news" I have this morning.  I'll see you all back in here, around 6:30 EDT for our SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST.
