....It has been a bit unusual Spring here too J and exceptionally dry, but today the humidity joining us, that will make it feel more like Indiana....along with the heat.

Q - my bet is even Willy would have trouble predicting the weather today - it has been a very unusual spring.  Seems like there is something for everyone!

....They are talking about some wind here in central Indiana today....The storm stuff is to go up thru Ill. and on over Mi. and probably miss us today.

But....It is to get into the low 90's someplaces here today and the humidity to be going up with the temps.  Windows have been up for 4 or 5 days now and I suppose that will have to change today.

Still it's really dry here....Only a half inch or so in the past several weeks.  Wind here today, forecast to be roughly in the 30's.....Just a slight bit of it now at 7:30.

Sorry, Mookie, I haven't made the cake yet:  Need to find out what flavor cake Mudchicken prefers!!  (Hear that, MC?!?!?!  I need to know what flavor cake you want today, PRONTO, so I can get it baked, and what flavor icing do you want on it?  How about what you want to eat on your special day, too?!?!?!)

Mookie, LOVE your new Moss Green nail polish.  I might have to try some of that (if I can quit biting my nails, so they'll grow long enough to polish!!)

Mutt, Larry and Dan, forgive my faux paux:  THANK YOU THREE FOR PUTTING UP THE BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS LAST NIGHT!!  I really wasn't looking forward to trying to climb a ladder last night.

Those are some sharp looking (pun intended!) nails Ms. Mook!  I'll leave some bandaids out near his mug for sir Tree!

Now...where is that new truck parked???

Like my new nails?  ////\\\\  got moss on them somehow - at least I didn't have to have them done.  Wonder how I did that.....

Well.........The wind blew her hair into her face, the wind blew her hair into my face and then the wind blew her hair into the street!  (I know there are some of you old enough to remember this!)  Anyway - we had 56 mph winds yesterday.  Most people just sit and watch the world go by - I got to sit and watch it blow by.

We usually do have wind - that way we get rain.  During the drought we didn't have any wind and no rain.  No rain for us yesterday, but still windy and uncomfortably warm.  We sent it all onto Iowa and northern Illinois!  Happy mess to you.

And Happy Birthday to Sir Chicken!  I figured out the Sir Mud, the Driver and I have the same birthdate, only different months (kind of like we went to different schools together!) Anyhow, much to the Chicken's Chagrin - that should make us distantly related!  (hmmm a bald chicken with fur and feathers.....poor chicken....)

Well, I am sure there is something hidden cake-wise, so really should go find it and give it my Good Kitty-Keeping Paw of Approval.....yum!

Good Thursday morning everyone!  And. . . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUDCHICKEN!!!!!!!Happy B-Day [bday] Happy B-Day [bday]

Let's see, wonder what is in one of these packages here. . .  maybe a new transit for the Mudchicken?!?!?!hmmmmmmmmm.

He needs to get himself in here, and let me know what he would like to eat today.  I already have a 55gallon drum of Gatorade with a big blue bow on it for him. (and straw also)  Man, I had to call the local fire station to help me get that straw inserted into the drum!!   They also warned me about lighting 51 birthday candles on the cake this evening!!

Dan, thank you for fixing breakfast this morning!!  Very much appreciated!!  I'm working on my first mug of coffee right now.  Think I'll take an English muffin, with some strawberry jam and some fresh fruit this morning.

Think I'll walk around and see if I can find Mudchicken, and see if I can find a new pickup truck out in the parking lot.  Maybe he's hiding in it!!

I can and will help you hang lots of banners....

How about these fun birthday balloons?  Would you say 200 is enough?  I'll suspend them from the ceiling in a net.  When someone pulls the string -> |  <- between the arrows they'll fall on the Birthday Boy!  Woo hoo!

We are smack in the middle of the High category for strong/severe weather for tomorrow.  If I don't check in after 7 PM you'll know why.  The weather forecast from three different TV stations included the phrase "...and isolated tornados are expected tomorrow evening along with damaging winds and hail up to golf-ball in size."  Willy if you want to storm chase you could try my backyard if you want to...just watch out for the landmines!Big Smile [:D]

I can help with that, too!

Looks like we're (CR) in the center of a bullseye weather-wise tomorrow- MODERATE chance of severe weather.  If I don't check in to the diner tomorrow night, you'll be able to guess why...

Larry, I Hope you're talking about their "Hunting Apparel"!!

Well, the tin boots weren't going to be real appropriate for Ms Mook to sharpen her claws, so I figured some "oak" apparel might be the best thing....  Tongue [:P]

Just so long as it isn't "Poison Oak"

Now since you and Dan are in here this evening, may I borrow you to help me hang up some

Birthday Banners for tomorrow so CW doesn't have to do everything in the morning?!

We have a Very Important Person having a Happy B-Day [bday] tomorrow.

On the subjects of too tall trucks and bridges/tunnels and Ford pickups (Trigger's replacement) anyone remember the commercial a while back for the Ford Superduty Diesel where the 18 wheeler hauling tubing got stuck in the tunnel and the P/U pulled him out as easy as day?  Anyway my thought is that it'd be a dangerous place to be; behind the rig that's too tall for it's lane!  Sorry for the ramble...just thinking aimlessly lol.

Joe, have they ever put that one diamond back in?!

Randy, we had a similar accident here in the city today,

seems a truck and oversized trailer tried to go through a R.R. underpass again.

This particular one gets it about once a week.

Seems trailer broke in half!! (Joe, Defiance aint got nothing on us!!)

Evening all.......

Not a bad day here today, took a trip this afternoon to swap some trailers.  I was trying to pay attention to the instructor (who was driving), and also to what was going on around us on the road........

Saw online that someone tried to take a 13'6" trailer into the 13' Lincoln Tunnel in NYC, peeled the roof off and tore the rear frame off the trailer.  don't have to worry about him on the highway for some time........

Will take some dinner and some rest, see everyone later.......

Gee whiz, I don't know if it's even worth my trouble to be fixing meals in here today, since hardly anyone is in here.  So, I've just made up some sandwiches, and they're in the cooler.  A variety of chips are on the counter, so everyone help yourselves.

Willy, glad you all made it home all right, and glad to hear that you had a good time!!

But everyone had better be in for supper tonight around 6:30, 7:00 p.m. EDT for Italian spaghetti, garden salad, corn on the cob, sauteed mushrooms, and garlic Texas toast.

Mookie, Joe and Lance, there will be containers ready for you three, in the fridge with your names on them, about 2:30, so you all can have them tonight.

P.S.  Dan and anyone else, PLEASE do NOT bring in any more trash cans or trash bags.
I believe we have enough around here to last until Halloween!!Wink [;)]

If it had been just me and my family, I'm sure we would have visited Grand Central Terminal. However, because it was a group, we had to follow the specific itinerary and stick with the group at all times.

Hmmm... maybe a big severe weather outbreak tonight, maybe nothing. Instability, moisture, and shear are all very impressive, but an equally impressive cap of warm air aloft may prevent storms from developing. We'll see what happens.
