I think the 3/4" "Marine" plywood should suffice for the panel, but in lieu of

the 2" X 4"s, I'm thinking of using "angle iron" for the braces?!?!

Thanks for the help, and I'm going to quietly take my coffee mug to the patio.

Randy good luck with the job also.

BAM....(stomp, stomp, stomp!)  Ok - I am back and will have to have Mutt look at that front door - flimsy piece of wood!

I am back with Catitude.  Went to doctor for an adjustment of my attitude and ended up with a really large band-aid over my mouf!  Hope he doesn't think I am paying that bill any time soon!

Working with the edumacated group - I took one of them ce-bat-icles - I didn't see much of anything, and no bats!

Did see my favorite Tonka Toys at the watch site.  You should see them move up and down the tracks - just like a real train set.....

Goin' for ma coffee - and kick out who ever is in the hammock!  That might be the most fun I have had in a long time!  Evil [}:)]  Might put 'em back and do it all over again!  Evil [}:)]

CW - I will be out shortly and visit with you!  So much to do, so little time!

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Hope everyone had an enjoyable evening.

Coffee, juice and tea are ready.  On the warmer bar this morning:  sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, grits, oatmeal and blueberry and apple-cinnamon muffins, and bear claws.

Randy, good luck on your training.

My brain is still half asleep, so think I'll take my coffee, and a sausage and biscuit, and head to the swing.  Maybe the cooler morning air will help me wake up.

Evening all..........

A little wild in the weather department this afternoon, high winds from storms blew down lots of trees south of Milwaukee.  It's quit raining for the time being, but will get nasty later tonight when the front moves through.

Started orientation for the new job today, will hopefully be on the road with a trainer by the end of the week.  About five weeks behind the wheel with a trainer, and I should be able to get my CDL.  And the traveling begins.........

Thanks for dinner, will take a quick siesta in the corner.....

On the food bar tonight:  cold pizza, tuna salad sandwiches, turkey and cheddar cheese, bologna & cheddar cheese sandwiches, chips, and I also bought some Gatorade lemon and lime today.  (Kroger has the 8-pk 20 oz. bottles on sale this week for 4.99.)

By 10 p.m. tonight, our area has a 40% chance of rain.  They're hoping it won't be thunderstorms (and we're hoping that, also!!).

Why not thunderstorms? The fire hazard due to the lightning, or something else? In any event, I'm hoping you'll get the rain. The NWS says that by tomorrow evening you could get as much as three-quarters of an inch. Not enough to end a drought, but still a help.

I hope Mookie can come back soon! It really is kind of dead in here without her.

Water - with a sports drink chaser - just the thing for heat induced dehydration (especially if exascerbated by work).

I was going to add a witty comment over on the "mine is better than yours" whine thread, but Bergie locked it....

Nice weather today here, too, but we really are reaching the point where we could use some rain...

Gotta work late, so I'll hit the warmer up for some grub and skedaddle...

Afternoon all.  Just stopping by between chasing errands hither and yon.  Seems quiet in here today.  Happy late Father's Day to all whom it applies.  I'll take some Gatorade and a sandwich and then off I go again...

Mookie had an accident at work - someone stepped on her cattitude and she had to have it mended.  Angry [:(!]

She will need some quiet time to mend and hopefully will be able to join the group when she is feeling a little better.

Meantime, she hopes you will carry on as usual..............or else!

It was quite hot and MUGLY here in Sioux Falls yesterday, the temp here got up to about 90. It's quite a bit cooler here this morning, the last I checked my source, the temp here was 72 degrees, but the humidity remains high, at around 78 or 80%. I think our maximum temp will top out at about 80 this afternoon. We had roughly 14 hundreths of an inch of rain this morning.

It has rained here nearly every day during the last two weeks, and I kind of wish I could send some of our rain to drier places that really need it, such as Muncie, Indiana.

I'm going to try to bake a couple loaves of whole wheat bread this afternoon, may end up dropping both loaves off at the Diner and then Cherokee Woman can slice them up for tonight's dinner. Chef [C=:-)]

We've got some cooler temperatures (around 80) for today and tomorrow, but still no significant rainfall. Then the heat will really get cranking by next weekend. If we don't get some decent rainfall here soon, we're going to be in some big trouble over the upcoming months.

....Yes, this will be another hot one....75 min. here this morning so with a normal gain of about 20 degrees during the day should put us up in the hot category.

Actually received .2" of rain in about 5 min. yesterday afternoon and then it was gone.....But even a bit helps.  Driest here, {water co. info}, in 19 years...!

Seems kind of slow over here this morning.  Maybe it is the heat and humidity.  I am going to take a big glass of iced tea and head back to the coolest room in the house before we are up in the 90's.

Good Monday morning, all.  That is, if anyone decides to show up this morning.  Just in case, coffee , tea and juice are ready.  I've put out several different boxes of cereal for breakfast this morning.  At almost 80 degrees this morning, it's too hot to cook.  There's also bear claws, and there's plenty of cake left from yesterday.

Good evening, all, just got back home from our trip to MN for the weekend.  I had a very enjoyable Father's Day getting together with most of the rest of my family and joining my Dad and Mom at brunch today at The Wilds (country club near the Mystic Lake Casino).

Anything left to munch on?

Well, today was my mom's birthday, so we spent the day celebrating. However, some car trouble kind of messed things up. It still wasn't too bad of a day, though.

Duff - your baby is absolutely adorable. Please keep us updated with more photos! Smile [:)]

I hope all of the dads out there had a great Father's Day! Cool [8D]

Ed, that's a very good looking daughter you have there (well, two very  good looking daughters)!!  Are you SURE she's only 14?!?!  To me, she looks at LEAST 16, MAYBE 17.

Ed, I hope you and all the other dads here on the forums had a VERY GOOD FATHER'S DAY!!

Now, I've got all that good food warmed, and or freshly grilled, and on the warmer bar for you all.  Eat and enjoy it to your hearts' content, and have a great evening.
