Maybe we'll need hydraulics and a generator to operate it if it gets much bigger.  We should really put in clearance lights or something and maybe a marked swing path!  LOL!

Ed - Trigger left behind some diamond plate from the tailgate. Maybe we hold the stainless in reserve?

Okay, will take all the help I can get. I do have a decent drill, bits, and "cutting oil".

Might need some extra stuff and attachments for the "Extra" though.

We've just enough rain(?) thus far to only drive up the humidity and make it more uncomfortable.

Dan, we don't have AC, and that is very close to how we cool the house.

(if you can cool it when it does get over 90 degrees)

CSXrules4eva should be able to do a creditable job for the painting, she's very

good doing things like that.

Walt: Are you referring to the fan idea?  I hope it works for you if that's the one.

Joe: I'll have some corn and potato salad ready for you, even some butter and salt if you want it!

Ed: That steel will work nice.  I'll head out to the truck to find the grinder so we can take any rough spots out.  I also have some black implement paint we can use to make the door look nice.

Who's an artist that can stencil/paint on a nice logo for the Diner?  CW I'll get that corn goin' pretty quick to compliment the Mexican Fiesta.  The 'tater salad is cold and ready as well.

Dan, I'm planning on more of the MEXICAN FIESTA for tonight, and the corn on the cob will be a very good addition.  And when the sun starts to go down, we'll cut up that watermelon I got today!!

Everything is now on the warmer bar, so you all just mosey on up, grab a plate (or two) and head on out to the patio.  I believe I got the the tables and chairs all dried up after that good heavy rain passed by a little while ago.

Joe and Lance, got containers fixed and in the fridge, for you two to take to work tonight!!  With YOUR NAMES on them, as usual.

It is interesting that you would mention Roy Roger's horse, Trigger. I think the 3/4" "Marine" plywood should suffice for the panel, but in lieu of

the 2" X 4"s, I'm thinking of using "angle iron" for the braces?!?!

Thanks for the help, and I'm going to quietly take my coffee mug to the patio.

Randy good luck with the job also.

Ed, the stainless steel will work quite well, maybe we should use it.

(although it's harder to drill through than the other.)

Dan, very good idea, we'll just have to see how well it works;

and if Ed sends the stainless steel, it's going to take all day to cut the opening.

(at least we can get lunch while we're working!)

I may as well get the DeWalt (any relation?) out now and get it done so we can relax later.  Lets go out back on the sawhorses and finish working on this.  I think I'll see about finding some extra hinges for a kitty door that hinges either direction.  After that then we'll see about getting that corn up and going.

Morning all!  Glad I have my own hammock this morning....sheesh!  I heard once that PhD stood for 'Piled Higher and Deeper'.  Hope that helps Mook!

I'm thinking that today will be nice up here.  Our high temp is supposed to be ~76 which is better than a low of 76 and a dew point of 76 which the last few days have felt like.  Nothing exciting to report up here today...so I'll hide in the corner for a while and relax!

Mookie, so glad you're back today!!  I really enjoyed our time in the garden this morning!

Produce really picked up today, both produce-wise, and people-wise.  We had 59 people, and we got watermelons, cabbage, carrots, onions, cauliflower, salad mix, romaine lettuce, and 8 oz.  packets of Taco John's The Fresh Taste of West-Mex Potato ole seasoning  mix.

On the warmer bar for lunch today:  MEXICAN FIESTA DAY.  We have tacos, enchiladas, spanish rice, quasadillas, and burritos (all meat and meat & beans), and whatever else Mexican you want to eat.

Since we had a small shower around 3:45 this morning, all we got while I was doing Produce was about 10-12 drops of rain.  Nothing since.  Getting ready to go to the library in an hour:  watch the skies open up then.  Will have to remember to grab my new rain jacket, before I walk out the front door.

Everyone, enjoy your lunch, and see you all later this afternoon.

You're in luck. There's one pretty nice cell moving right towards Muncie. It's not very big, but the people that get under it should get a decent downpour. I'll bang on the rain drums until that cell moves past. Big Smile [:D]

I'm glad that you're back Mookie, but perhaps I should hide for awhile? And I certainly won't get into the hammock!!

Nothing new here in Omaha. Nice today, hot Wednesday through next Monday. Small chance of storms tomorrow night and Thursday night then dry as a bone.

I'm outta here!

Just when I was beginning to think that I might have to start watering, the rains came.  At first looked like a quick shower, one of those "trace" types, but we wound up right in the center of the line of storms.  Several hours of heavy rain and 2+ in the gauge.

Along with a jump in the grass, a bounty crop of mosquitos.  Light the candles and pass the deet.
