OUCH!  Well I guess that's my own fault.  Still I'm glad that she's happy now.  FYI that is a paintball cannon capable of shooting semi-auto, full-auto, or 'shotgun' style.  In the last mode the gun will shoot up to 5 rounds at once.  Quite useful for keeping people away from present #1.  Also, feel free to link to those photos as I'm hosting them and won't delete them.  I hope CW likes her present.

There's no need to have a 'miffed Kitty'...I wanted to wait and have Mook open her presents when I was here so I could see the look on her face:

Uhoh! Did the kitty have a little fall? It is good indeed that you have 4 wheels. Just pretty please keep my ears off the most wanted ears list!

Think I will lie on the lunch bar and inspect the traffic as it goes by.  That puts me at about the right height - except for some of the taller ones.  But if I stand up...oops.....oh oh...oh..............................oh....................

Okay, Mookie:  you've named the menu for today's lunch.  It will be ready by in just a few minutes.  Everything is set out on the warmer bar, so everyone can help themselves.

I sure wouldn't want my name on Mookie's "most wanted ears" list.  I'd rather keep my ears, thank you very much!  Think others might need to WATCH OUT and don't miff the cat!! (or the cook)  You might be treading on very, very thin ice!!

I wouldn't trust "Miss Kitty" with any kind of a gun, let alone a paintball gun. The rest of you guys should find a place to hide and stay out of sight AND range for a while!!!!

Good Wednesday morning to one and all.  Our low so far is 25 (I think) when I woke up at 7:20.  Dan, thanks for getting breakfast going this morning.  Appreciate it.

Train fire is still burning, down the road.  Guess my brother and sis-in-law could get out to go back to work this morning.

Does anyone have any requests for lunch and supper today?

Morning all!  It's 'Egg Wednesday' here in the DDCS.  I've got a truck load of eggs that are fresh from the farm and lots of hot skillets.  I'll try to make 'em however you want!  We've also got corned beef hash (DIBS if nobody else wants it!), hashbrowns, bacon, turkey bacon, sausage links and patties, and fresh fruit.  We've also gotten topped off with fresh OJ, AJ, TJ and some really good coffee.  I've made a couple trays of scrambled eggs, some sunny-side up, and some 'flat'.  There's also several trays of meat and sides warm and on the bar for your leisure!  BTW...Ms. Mook, I have a present for you but you'll have to wait to open it!

Switch8frg I hope all is well.  I'll toss an extra prayer your way.

....Walt, that sounds like the derailment is not too far removed from south Louisville....That propane fuel is really a dangerous bomb when fire gets to it in a situation like that.

Some years ago a propane tanker {rail}, blew up out on the Sante Fe RR near Kingman, Az. from all accounts produced an extreme massive explosion.

......M C:

Right now the extended weather forecast for this area is showing:

Friday...31 and 22 temp. with a few snow showers...{doesn't sound real serious}

Saturday....32 and 25 temp. with partly cloudy conditions...

Overall it doesn't seem to indicate any massive system to pass thru....

That 1" of overnight snow we recieved  has not been much of a problem with most roads back to bare conditions now.  Even had some sunshine this afternoon.

Update 1-17:  MC....Sunday  35  and 29 temp and forecast simply, Cloudy.

Everyone have a terrific evening, stay warm, and dry.  Cannonball, get well soon, and mudchicken, have a safe journey to Indiana.  And Joe, will add your request to my prayer list.

Joe,

You've got the favor big time; all of our Thoughts and Prayers will be directed that way!

(along with others,to other people also.)

Well, even though this has not been a Good derailment, (like any are) at least this one didn't take out a bridge crossing a river like the last one did!! (1990 or so)

Some years ago there was an accident on the interstate near here involving a truck carrying produce.  They decided that since it was "natural" they'd just leave all of the produce there.  That decision was reversed when car-animal accidents skyrocketed at that spot, due to the animals arriving for the feast.....

Cold, cold, cold.  Three degrees right now, and with clear skies, it's dropping like a rock.

Nice, warm, comfort food.....
