....34.3...!  Don't know how to act as that's above freezing.  About 2" of snow overnight and early part of today.  Pretty bright now so looks like it's about finished here....

Good morning, everyone!  It's another beautiful day.  The sun is shining brightly, and the high for today should reach the mid to upper 70s.

I might as well go for the Hawaiian pizza tonight, since the weather is so balmy.

Make mine Hawaiian.

A dusting of snow this AM when the lake effect drifted north for a bit.  Had to run into town for some dog food, roads there were horrible - very 'greasy.'  On the road to VA tomorrow - hope PA gets their act together - a detour would be a bad thing.

Back to trip preps....

That same system came through here overnight, we got about an inch and a half.  Easy shoveling.  It's turning into a pretty nice day now- 21.2 degrees and climbing with bright sunshine.

Guess Joe and Matt are pretty close to Chicago by now.

I wish I could run over to Eola and join the party, but it's just alittle too far away and gas is too expensive.  We're going to have to buy an extra tank's worth tomorrow as it is to pay a visit to our daughter in Des Moines.

Everyone have a great day, and be sure to have your pizza orders in by 3 p.m.

The usual, please (supreme)!

Good Saturday morning, to all.  Well, I'm finally in, and I want to thank Joe for making the coffee, juice, and bringing in the doughnuts.  Also, thank you Ray for fixing the rest of the breakfast this morning.

A good Saturday morning to everyone out there. I reckon a lot of us are sleeping in this morning. Joe, thanks for making coffee and orange juice, and the doughnuts are much appreciated by all of us here. Thank you! I am frying some bacon and pork sausage links, and will be ready to serve blue berry pancakes, waffles and scrambled eggs and omlets pretty soon. And I've got some good maple syrup from Canada that I am warming up.

I woke up to a little bit of fresh snow here in Sioux Falls about an hour ago, hard to tell just how much we got as the wind blows so much of it around. We have 19 degrees above 0, and with the wind blowing out of the NW, we have a wind chill of about 4 above. I'll be headed in to work one of my part time jobs in a couple hours, and if my supervisor at Wendy's should call to ask me to come in and work for her today, well she's out of luck. I will be able to work for her tomorrow, and that I have no problem with. I am working with a great crew of people at Wendy's, and I consider that to be a bonus.

I hope everyone out there has a good day. Stay warm, stay safe!

They had paper tags pasted on rear doors . Each 28 ft. tlr. tag said ( untitled , in transit ) . The power was a rental trk.  I wonderd if you knew any thing bout them .  Hope your Super stock Dodge Ram is up and runnin' from the wreck.    Respectfully , Cannonball

No beer for me. Still a little young for that type of drink.

What's happening outside is the closest thing to a blizzard that I have ever experienced. The wind is gusting to 50 mph and visibility is literally just shy of zero. The snowfall is not going to last long, so no more than 1 inch is expected, but it's blowing and drifting so much that it would be impossible to measure anyway. This is just too cool!

Hey, Chubby (remember what I said before...)!

Your little experience with whatever-it-was sounds like something to get checked out.  Maybe no cause for concern, but just something about yourself that you should know about, and which will be over in a couple of months.

Ed's the current voice of experience here--half of a great team raising daughters anyone would be proud of.

Ours are in the past--both daughters married to ideal sons-in-law, and one with a couple of daughters of her own.  Fun to watch that daughter raising a couple of kids as bright as she is.

(The other one just reminded us that she'll be getting a doctorate in about two years.)

All the way up to 23 here this afternoon - but some of Willy's wind found its way here, too.  There's a lot of drifting going on, even though no snow is falling (here - lake effect again down south).

Still - it's better than zero (or less) and windy.

All this talk about temperatures reminds me of a story in a well known men's magazine some years ago - Technology, style, etc, followed the temperature - if it was in the teens, you were using crank telephones, if it was in the 70's, bell bottoms ruled, etc.  Cute concept for a story.

....Heat wave here:  19.8 degrees @ a bit after 3 pm.  Heard about that terrible 100 mph wind out west.  And Willy, your "heat" wave is projected to head this way too as the forecast is up in the 40's this coming mid week.  If it happens, that will be the warmest we've had in perhaps 3 weeks or so....Maybe more.

Bright sunshine these past 3 days but a weather system is due to pass by...by tomorrow morning {fast moving}, and may drop 1 to 3" of snow on us....Another one Tuesday of similar light snow flurries.  All the while warming as the days unfold.

Ughh.  Afternoon everyone......

Glad to see that someone pulled me off to the side after collapsing on the floor last night from exhaustion.  Our production numbers this week got bumped up, and we've been hauling (deleted) just to keep up.  Now I just have to figure out how to get paw prints off this jacket.....

Ten degrees above zero right now in the Mad city, with a chance for a few inches of snow tonight and Saturday, then it might get above thirty for the first time in about three or four weeks.  Mudchicken, had our share of wind earlier this week, the snow was drifting over the roads as fast as the county could plow it off.  We get much more and they'll have to get the road grader out just to cut the banks back.

For anyone in my neck of the woods, the Mad City train show is this weekend in Madison, at the Alliant Energy Center, take the Rimrock Rd Exit on the Beltline (Hys 12, 14, 18, and 151 at various points).  This year is the 40th anniversary for the show.

I'll take a fish fry, CW.

Mmm fish...I am so there

Ed I do promise that I will give my child what I didn't get when I was growing up, Patience, love, respect, and of course, acceptable boundries. Yeah I guess you can't count on some of the hippie generation raising kids up right, *my mom and dad were into drugs and booze* at least she will have a steady home, with a mom and dad always there for her.

It's still cold here in Florida. Windy too, but not so bad to where we got to break out duct tape. but it sure is chilly. They say it will last until at least Monday though. I honestly can't wait until March comes around. I am getting sick of the cold already

It feels like I got clubbed, I took what I thought was a harmless snooze on the couch earlier, but I woke up, got led into the bedroom and just crashed, literally. I feel better now but that was kind of bizzare. So I think I will have a tall cup of coffee now.
