Porcupine meatballs - hamburger, egg, rice, splash of milk, seasoning to taste (onion, which I love but can't eat), mush together like when you make meatloaf, form medium size meatballs, brown on two sides, pour can of tomato sauce and small can V8 or tom juice and let simmer slowly until all flavors go through.

This is "after work, I am tired, crabby and don't want to cook too much".

Another recipe has basically the same thing but in the oven, but that takes longer and shortens my temper considerably (I hate to cook!)

Or if you want a heart attack on a plate - fried potatoes, browned kielbasa sausage and either eggs or cheese or both over all the taters and sausage when they are about done.

(Fried potatoes with eggs mixed in was a dinner when it was just Mom and me and Dad was on the road.)

Okay, Mookie's lunch suggestion sounds like a winner, so here it is:

beef noodle soup/w oyster crackers; and for anyone who doesn't want that, there is tuna casserole w/pasta noodles, peas and carrots in a creamed sauce.

And for supper tonight, it will be Mookie's porcupine meatballs w/the broccoli, raisin, sunflower seed, apple salad.  And if anyone else has something they would also like for tonight, I'll make that as well.

There is plenty of iced tea, lemonade, limeade, and iced water to quench everyone's thirsts today, as well as Gatorade, and soft drinks.

When did we get that Gatorade tap here?  Heck, I don't care I love it!  I'll take that and a brief snack of pretzels then back to work.  Two more fitness classes and a personal training client before 1 PM!

The problem is keeping it stocked - MC usually walks out of here with a barrel of Gatorade under each arm....

I took my first three semester exams this morning. They were geometry, world history honors, and chemistry. The geometry and history grades have not been posted yet, but the chemistry was. I got a solid 'B' on the exam and my overall grade for the semester for chemistry is a 97.5%. Not too bad for someone who thought chemistry would be his worst subject! I'm almost certain I got an 'A' on the geometry exam and probably an 'A' or 'B' on history, so nothing to worry about there.

Lots of rain coming tonight. Computer models say two to three inches, I say one to two inches, we'll see what happens. One thing that's certain is that it's going to be very wet for the next 24 hours.

Judging from the sounds of things, Willy, you must not have a 4.0 GPA or are trying to maintain one, which is OK as long as you're doing your best.  Keep up the good work!  Our daughter managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA until her Junior year, when illness and other issues, combined with stress, kept her from completing make-up work for Choir and Band, of all things.  She really felt bad about getting B's in those classes as a result, but we didn't fault her for it given the effort she put into everything else, and told her not to worry about it- just look to the future and put the past behind you.

.....That engine appears to be one without a primemover....A Slug...??  But then it wouldn't be single...it'd be attached to Mom....

Surely the P M wasn't wiped clean of the chassis with the loaded tanks....

Looks like it's almost a total loss or would require a total and major rehab and then some.

I'll bet there will be lots of questions regarding that move.....

A tank car loaded with asphalt must be one of the heaviest.  The spilled material for the workers to wade around in to clean up the mess will be a real mess.....!!

I've got a 4.0 GPA and I plan on keeping it! I have straight 'A's except for a 'B' in world history honors. However, a 'B' in a honors class is considered an 'A', thus the 'B' doesn't prevent me from keeping the 4.0 GPA. It's nice how these things work out.

Nice job on the grades Willy.  My last semester in college I had a 4.0 GPA as well.

Morning everyone!  Thought I'd kick on the lights and get the beverages hot and cold, respectively.  There's some bagels and cream cheese along with some muffins of various varieties.  I'll be outside since it's 71 degrees at 5:25!  YAY!

Good Thursday morning, everyone.  Hope everyone had a good evening, and managed to get a good night's sleep and rest.  If you're like me, just wasn't long enough!!

Coffee is on, juices are freshly made, and fresh tea is brewing/steeping.

On the breakfast bar this morning, you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, toast, cantaloupe & watermelon chunks.  There's also some packages of cold cereal on the counter.

Everyone have a good morning, and you'll find me out in the garden (after I put Mookie's coffee mug down off the shelf), enjoying the cool air, and my coffee.

Good morning......................(for a nap)

They keep pushing the forecast thunderstorms out - we were supposed to see them Friday, now we're up to Sunday - should make an interesting day on the railroad...

Filled my tank up last night - it was beyond E (taking a chance there....) and took 25+ gallons.  You can do the math...  Fortunately my grocery store has a deal where every $50 I spend there gets me a dime a gallon off gas, up to 20 gallons.  Saved me $4 last night...
