Having been there, SJ, I think MC is higher than the mile-high and well out of danger at home.

I'm more concerned for you...knowing what the Platte "valley" looks like, you and the Driver might have to start in with the sandbags.

Sir Mud is in a secret place, but it is well out of danger, so far.  Which reminds me that I need to go check his food and water bowl.  Mischief

So far, he has Boss Hen and the Scotties in a pretty protected place.  It is when he goes out to explore the rest of the state/world that I worry.  There's alligators in them there waters!

Poor Chicken!

You are sending us all that rain in the Platte River.  Problem is, we don't live close to the Platte.  We can't even watch it go by from here.  Sad

Where is MC in relation to the troubled areas there?

Hope things are OK with where he is...prayers for the rest of the areas effected!!!

Hmmmm...looks like the mods have shut down another thread.

And the right one, at that...

The other, no surprise.

We seem to have survived the overnight freeze warning.  I don't think it got below +32F overnight here.  Further inland (I'm not far off the lake) they probably did see some frost, and maybe some ice.

To the North of us here in London ON...that was where a lot of the frost ended up. Supposed to get to 40 tonight here

Ice?  Thats for the sweet tea....  Stick out tongue

Sounds good, but I think I'll wait until after I mow the lawn...

Turning into a nice (if cool) day today - plenty of sun and into the high 60's.

Good Morning from the ArkLaTex.

Its 72 and muggy down here.....highs into the mid 90's

The weather guessers are saying we have a good shot for rain on Saturday.  We sure do need it.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Interesting weather.  In the 50's this morning.  Someone put something wet all over the parking lot, drive, sidewalks.  Can't be rain - not enough to be called really wet.

Light blanket on bed, too.  You can bet that while we can't get water while it is warm, when it freezes it will rain like a tatcher (no I don't know what it means, but it fits and if you know, please post!)

If it is Tuesday it must be fishing.  Will probably have to break the ice...  Clown

Looking like we may get some scattered showers on Friday and Saturday.  Hopefully they're very scattered, and don't bring any leaves down with them.  I'm running our train out of Utica on Friday, and our Thendara local on Saturday, and that's all I need is to have the rails "greased" by leaves...

Freeze warning here tonight.  Fortunately I have no real tender plants to worry about.

Joe - 61 here and cloudy, but the barometer right behind me sez no rain until probably October!  Thurs will be our really hot day and then gradual cooling.

That's because the information is not to be distributed in the U.S.A. It's okay for it to go to Canadians.Smile

I'm off early tomorrow morning on a short trip back to where the people know how to talk, and expect to see several of those with whom I grew up.

Y'know, Murray - I love watching House Hunters.  But one of the complaints is always that it is about a 30-45 min drive to work.  Guess people like you just don't exist in their world.

I just groan over some of the "problems."

Hi Mookie...

I have 2 more weeks of this...then I am back home in San Antonio for good....  Cowboy

What are you doing down there?

I'm a contractor for the USAF.  I've been doing training and course development.  My contract is up here, so now I get to return home in 2 weeks.  Cool

Good stuff!!
