Good Wednesday morning, and a Belated Merry Christmas to you all!  Sorry about not getting in yesterday.  But the girls' Mama brought them over early, and Christmas began here.  Joe, thanks for getting in early and making breakfast.

As far as our weather is this morning, here in Shepherdsville, we are getting a mix of sleet and rain.  I'm just glad to I'm not planning on getting outside any today, unless there is an emergency.  Then, I'll dig my boots out, and walk very, very sloooowly:  especially down the back steps.

Hope you all had a very good Christmas Day.  Take care, if you have to get out this morning.  I know that over in Indiana, they have at least 2 inches of snow in some areas, up towards/in Seymour, IN.  At least the drivers who are out and about up there, as creeping along, taking it easy, so not too many problems up there traffic wise.

Take care, keep safe and have a Great Boxing Day.

And, with a muffled thump, several inches of snow arrived here overnight.  I got home from Christmas Eve at daughter's house with no snow in the air, and awake to find that I can once again use last year's new snowblower (which hardly saw any use last year...)

I'll be tooling through the Woodland Scenics website, looking for ways to spend the gift certificate they gave me.

Grandson was a joy, as usual, and completely loves the "Octonauts" toys Papa got for him.  The church service was also nice, and the congregation was overjoyed to see their senior pastor, who is doing very well after triple bypass surgery a couple of months ago.

Hoping for a peaceful day today - so if you're travelling, do so safely, and keep an eye on the kitchen so I don't have to come deal with the burnt whatever-you-were-cooking.

Merry Christmas to one and all.

Merry Christmas to all of you (I am posting this just before midnight MST).

After the six p.m. service at our church this evening, I went to daughter Katie's house for a family get-to-gether, complete with supper and opening presents (I was even given a stocking with little presents in it). Tomorrow, after our ten o'clock service, I will go to daughter Ginny's house for another get-to-gether, complete with brunch and presents.

Unless something comes up to prevent it, next month Katie, her daughter, and I will be moving into a house Katie and I are buying. She and her daughter will have the main floor, and I will have the lower floor, with its step-father apartment. This will be better than my living about fourteen miles from her, as I do now.

Not personally, but as with anyone who's been in this business for 35 years, it's hard not to at least know somebody who knows somebody, and I do.  What makes this more personal is that we lost a firefighter/EMT in the next district several years ago when an apparently unbalanced person retrieved a rifle from another room while being examined for a reported medical issue, shooting and killing the EMT.

Dispatch audio, including one of the injured firefighters reporting on conditions on the scene and his own injuries, is available on Statter 911.

Not for the weak of heart.

If you stand up real close to them, just before they go off, those spray air fresheners in the restroom work pretty good too…time it just right you can do both arm pits with one spray!

Worked with a conductor that would bring in a pile of freshly-washed bibs every Monday.  I would yell at him for washing all the experience out of them.  Of course I had the sweatshirt that could stand on its own.

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas and all that.  By a stroke of luck I have off tomorrow. Was scheduled to work - but a last minute change made my services unnecessary.  Although some would probably argue they were never necessary to begin with, but I digress...

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Just to ease up on the personal hygiene techniques.

I want to wish everyone in the Cafe a very Merry Christmas.

I will be up at my sister's place with my Mom on Christmas Day.

It has been anywhere from -5° to +5° F here for the last few days, with some snow and Ice Crystals. But the high humidity is the real corker. It is 81% now, and I checked after returning home from a quick trip to the grocery store yesterday, it was 84%. That would be about 60% higher than it usually is at these temperatures. It really makes a cold day much worse.

Everyone have a geat Holiday Season.

I'm totally out of sorts.. I'm not working, I have no clue what I'm supposed to do now. Maybe something will derail and solve this dilemma?

Good Monday (Christmas Eve) to all!  We are rather foggy here in Shepherdsville, KY this morning.  At least it isn't pea soup fog! Temps will range from upper 40s to 50 degrees here today.

Coffee, juice, hot chocolate, hot tea are fresh and ready.  Even have some boiled custard and non alcoholic egg nog available not only this morning, but all day long.  On the warmer station this morning:  bacon, sausage, choice of scrambled eggs or omelets this morning, along with some fresh-out-of-the oven cinnamon rolls.

Been busy cooking/baking this morning:  have a spiral ham baking, along with a couple of turkeys, dressing and all the trimmings (making enough so we have plenty for tomorrow, too.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and like Joe, sending plenty of hugs to everyone here.

17 above here.  Went to grocery store this pm.  Since nothing was frozen and few refrig items, so we just packed the trunk of Millie and went to drink some coffee trackside.

Big thrill.  Watched a coal train do bad order set outs for 45 min.  However, the people in cars were fun to watch.  Seems they never check their tires, their oil, change clothes or clean out the entire car until they have to wait for a train.  Today, someone cleaned out their car and a woman got out and tried on 2 coats while waiting.  I have never had to get out of the car to do anything while waiting in line for bank, drugstore, train, etc.  But these people get within a block of a train and all of sudden develop clean/repair-itis.

Also saw a driver go by with a rather large bloodhound riding shotgun, just like a human passenger.  He looked very important.  In his own mind, anyway.

Good Afternoon.

Well, sort of.Whistling

It has been  wonderfully dull day for us here..as well...seems that wife has come up with a new name for what shows up round here when everyone gets stressed about the prefect Xmas, Christmas-itis, inflammation of the Christmas ...Whistling

We went to Wally World and saw a few critters as well as our usual things...a lot of electronic goodies are already marked down up here...although we know...Mischief

Good Sunday morning all.  The weather guessers here are saying that we won't get any snow until Wednesday thru Thursday, and that we will have an accumulation.  Louisville and north will see more accumulation than Shepherdsville.  Guess we'll all have to wait and see.

With brother  SIL home yesterday, and he on computer, didnt get a chance to get in yesterday.

Just in case I don't get a chance to get back in:

I want to wish everyone here in the Cafe, and the whole forum, a Very Merry Christmas!!

Everyone take care, have a good day, and see you all later.
