Hi there everybody!!  Yes, Mookie, got my ears on today; haven't been on this week, as I've been fighting a sore throat, haven't felt like sitting at the desk to do much of anything on the computer, until late in the day.But knew that I had to make it in today to say. . . . . HAVE A VERY VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOOKIE, with many happy returns coming your way today and always.  Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day

I have baked a full size sheet cake, chocolate, with white icing, and plenty of train decorations on it.  That will be cut after you all have eaten the regular Friday Fish Fry.

And Joe, congrats to the newest addition to your extended family!

Have a great afternoon, take care, and if you're like Kentucky and getting off and on rain showers, stay dry.  Right now, not getting any rain, but that will probably change, when I leave the house to get Alli off the school bus at 12:30.

Chilly but mostly clear today.  Could use a dusting of snow by Friday night at the "North Pole," though.

My Christmas present to myself came in last night - a tablet computer.  Still playing with it, but it should make me even lazier Hmm since I can now sit in my recliner and surf the net while I'm watching TV...

Using the "regular" computer is still easier, though.

My smartphone is set up as a wifi hot spot, though, so even if I'm someplace without wifi, I can still get on line.

I'm curious to see if I can adapt it to fire and EMS.

Joe - Congrats on the addition to your extended family!

Congrats Joe - one more family member and you can start your own state!

Rain in area, just not much and not hitting the ground.  Sending it on east.  Nice weather pretty much gone.

CW - got your ears on?  Rockers?  Porch?  In the always perfect world of the diner?

I'm also in the process of rethinking the layout plans...yep...again...Sigh This time I think I am going to buy one of the plan books and see what I can conjure out of that....Dunce

It was a dull grey day here with little stips of sunlight...but a few snow streamers and wind set in, just to make one chilled....blech...

Well, our last warm day for awhile.  Not exactly cold in future - but 40's is a lot different than 60's.

Re: Nebraska football - we really can't complain (who would listen anyway)  We still win more than we lose and as a state, we can go a whole year without making any news in any paper until football season, so there really isn't any reason to fuss.  We adore our coach and our games are always sold out.  Sometimes on away games, the Husker fans almost outnumber the home fans.

And who knew the bus doors would accidentally get locked before all the team got off...

Lots to do today.  Must visit the bank and spread the wealth!

Cooler already today, and I don't think we're supposed to get any too warm.

Attended a training session on EMS helicopter operations last night.  No helicopter, though, as it was raining and foggy.  Darn.

Christmas party at a former workplace today - a chance to see some old friends.

Things to go, places to do.  Must hurry.

Barry, quit acting like me...no I don't have a "plaster cast" or anything like that, but all I have to do is walk through a door way, etc, and bounce off that and get bruises that can't be explained.....And I do fall down every-once-in-awhile.[think it might be "Older Age"]

74 degrees here in Louisville today, rain forecast for tomorrow with cooler temps. [Pneumonia weather.]

Dreary day.  At least it's not raining.

Got part of the outside decorations up.  Need more power cords, though, as these are new this year.

Need groceries, too, so I guess it's a good time for a trip to town.

Afternoon all.  Guess current temp here in Shepherdsville is 70, 71 degrees.  Walked up to get Ally (3 yr. old) off the school bus, and went in shirt sleeves, no sweater/jacket needed.  Very nice outside.

Have a new addition to add to the menu.  It will be the first item on this afternoon/evening's menu:

1.  Taco pie

2.  Spaghetti w/meatballs, garden salad and Italian bread or garlic bread

Hope everyone is enjoying the day (unless you're on the west coast, with the torrential rains); have a good evening, take care and see you all later.
