So here we go on the new time.....Hate to think of getting dark so early this evening.  But guess that's the only way to work our way towards Spring...

32 degrees here earlier this morning...Believe that's the lowest this season.

Some sunshine peeking thru...and some of it is right on my computer screen right now.  That's ok, we'll take it and enjoy.

About time to get ready for church....have plenty of relax time this morning,  I note 4 of ;my clocks / watch successfully moved to the new time overnight.  Interesting:  Watched the hands of my watch move one hour back at 12:08 am.  Don't know when the others changed.....They did not at that time.

And now still have a few around the house to manually set...2 vehicles too.

Frost on the grass a plenty this morning.  But it's nice and bright out with our mid morning time here..

What a finish for our NBA Pacers last night....Double overtime....won by 8 points.

Wishing a good new week for all.  Will Pray for the many still in serious trouble with the aftermath of Sandy.

Good Sunday morning all, and I hope everyone remembered to set your clocks/watches back an hour last night!  Current temp is in the low to mid 40s, going for a high again (and for most of this week) in the low to mid 50s.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the food bar this morning:  bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, bagels and bear claws.

Everyone have a good morning, take care going to work, Church, railfanning, etc., and I'll see you all sometime this afternoon.

Well, we just finished having a thunderstorm move through; Walt had made a trip to the store, and got caught out in it.  I, on the underhand, had just gotten through taking a shower.  Glad I wasn't still in the shower when the thunder & lightning started:  I might be a crispy critter now, and unable to be on/in here!

Here is our Saturday Night Pizza Fest menu:

01.  Anchovie

02.  Canadian bacon

03.  Cheese

04.  Chicago style

05.  Goetta

06.  Ham & green pepper

07.  Hawaiian

08.  Italian sausage

09.  Pepperoni/mushroom

10.  Supreme

Desserts tonight:

1.  Strawberry cheesecake

2.  Peach cobbler

3.  Chocolate cake w/chocolate icing

4.  Cherry pie

Hope everyone has had a good day; take care, have a good evening, and see you all in the morning.

Good Saturday morning all.  Current temp this morning is in the mid/upper 30s to 40 degrees.  Should see it climb back into the 50s for our high today.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to  go.  And our Saturday Brunch is ready and on the warmer station.

Everyone remember to set your clocks BACK an hour tonight, before you go to bed!!  In the morning, we'll be back to EST.  Also remember to check your smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors, and change batteries, if needed.

Everyone have a good day, take care, and I'll see you all later for our pizza fest.

Good Evening...

Well, our weather up here was definitely not boring..if you wanted variation we had it..every ten minutes ago it would change. Literally. We had some sun, some cloud, nasty winds, not so nasty breezes, no wind at all, cold, warm, rain, snow, sleet...even hail. Oh..and a thunderin'boomer showed up as well to add a bit of spice to the mix...ConfusedWhistlingLaugh

.....I saw that "news" too Tom of the question of the "crews" that weren't "accepted"....I don't know where the truth really is but "if" it's true....It's shameless....

They are flying crews and large utility trucks in from the west coast...{Believe they were using C5-A air craft}......

That 72 degrees sounds good...I actually did get my yard mowed {and mulched leaves at the same time}, this afternoon, in 50 degrees.  But I had a heavy sweat shirt on and it was no problem at all....and really looks so much better.  We're to have sunshine and mod. temps from Sunday thru Thursday upcoming week...

And knowing we turn back the clocks tomorrow night...Bummer....Looked out this evening at 7 pm...the western sky still had just a little light on the horizon...Sunday, that's the way it will appear at 6....Oh bummer.....

Peace be with  you. 72  and sunny in Caolina with a guess of 41 tonight.

Well, I voted for what's his face today, so that's that. The wife and I have voted absentee for the past few elections bcause we can't physically handle long lines. Saves wear and tear on the nerves too.

Talk on the news sez that some volunteer power crews were turned away from helping in the northeast because they didn't fit the box somebody wanted to fit them in. How that can be justified is something I will never understand

Everyone take care and have a great weekend

Several local Facebook friends mentioned snow this morning, and the radar is showing some blue and white on Tug Hill.

None here that I know of, although it was a tad chilly this AM.

Back to the print shop, then into town for some bargains at the Halloween store.  30% yesterday, 40% today, and 50% tomorrow, except I'll be tied up at the train show in Syracuse.

......Not drab here in central Indiana today...A bit of a cool start, and forecast to be just 50 this afternoon though.  But blue sky and white puffy clouds are present and quite a bit of sunshine.

I'm wondering if I might be able to put on heavier sweat shirt, etc...and make a pass over my yard to {actually mow}, and mulch leaves in so doing....Been waiting for a bit warmfer temps., but doesn't appear to be any in the next few days.

We are thinking of all the people battered by this massive storm, and certainly hope help is reaching those still in great need....I know this is massive, and it will take time....Just hope every resource can come together and apply max. help....It sure seems like it's needed......And KEEP politics out of the recovery needs...!

Good Friday morning all.  50 degrees here in Louisville this morning.  No wonder I had trouble sleeping last night:  woke up at 3:30, or just after,  came downstairs, put the coffee on, fixed myself a cup, drank some, and then went back to sleep; woke up again at 6:50, so feeling a little bit better now.

Tom sorry about the mix up last night:     guess I took Joe literally about it being his Friday night, and was thinking it was Friday for all of us!

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go (made another pot of coffee), and breakfast is on the warmer station.

Does anyone have any suggestions for lunch/dinner tonight?  Since I messed up last night, we'll make this a Meal Request Day for this afternoon/tonight.Confused

BC, hope everything goes all right for you today!  Sending prayers and thoughts your way.

Everyone take care, have a good morning, and see you all later.  Time to go pay Bills for the month.

Congrats to Matt on Student of the Month!!

Here is the menu for the rest of the day:  Along with our regular Friday Fish Fry, I've also got some fresh Boneless Strip Steaks ready to put on the inside electric grill.  There is the regular Friday Fish Fry side dishes, and to go along with the steaks:  baked  potatoes w/butter or sour cream, broccoli spears w/cheese or butter sauce, garden salad, steak fries and homemade dinner rolls.

Everyone have a good afternoon/evening, take care and see you all later.

Matt was named student of the month for his class.

Congrats!  Good to know those french fries haven't hurt him any!

Rainy morning here, which is good, since I've got lots to do inside.

A trip into town on tap for later - gotta hit up the after-holiday sale at the Halloween store!  More decorations for the Pumpkin Patch next year.

Good Thursday morning all, and Happy November 1st.  Starting out with a temp of  39 degreees F. here in Louisville this morning.  At least the winds have calmed down, now 5 mph or so, so very different from the last several days.  Our high today should be around 55, 56 degrees.

BC, thank you so much for fixing breakfast and the coffee, etc.  Sending thoughts and prayers your way, that after today, you won't need any more chemo & radiation.  Take care of yourself, o.k.?

Well, as far as trick or treaters went last night, Walt and I figure we had about 10:  mostly preteens, along about 2 or 3 little ones.  So a pretty calm night around our street.

Everyone have a good morning, take care and see you all this afternoon.

Welb..it is another rainy, cold, blustery day here...one of several we had.

Today is going to be a somewhat slower day for us'uns...I had another chemo/radiation session yesterday and so, my energy is a little on the low side...hopefully the session tomorrow will be the last one..and I won't need another set....dang thingDeadBang Head

Sandy did take a swipe at some beachfront around Sarnia...which made for some interesting times...

Well, I have had a busy busy morning:  my friend from Church, who was also confirmed Sunday, came by to see if I could fix/bake/decorate another friend's contribution to the first lady's Halloween Party for tonight.  I told her I would.  She thanked me, and told me if I did the cupcakes, I wouldn't have to worry about my contribution:  homemade brownies.  I told her she had a deal.  Was busy icing them, and heard the doorbell:  it was her, back an hour early to pick them up.  As I was just in the process of icing them, she pitched in, and helped by putting the Halloween sprinkles on top of the icing.

Since most people will be busy either working, taking younguns out trick or treating, or passing out candy, here is our supper menu for tonight:

1.  Sausage balls, tacos, burritos, barbecue sandwiches, burgers & hot dogs, along with fries.

Walt and I will be guarding the door, and passing out  candy here at home.

C W:  Niece and family are ok in Philadelphia.  But they did have some excitement.

An oak tree in their front yard gave up a large limb, and went down over some power lines....It did start to smoke, but didn't sever the power line...

Then that same tree gave up another one, and it came down over the lines incoming to their home...{but did not break the wires}, but the impact did rip the electric meter from it's mount on the house...and continued with continuity...Amazing..!  Lucky it didn't start a fire....

Good Wednesday morning all.  Very cool out, with a current temp around 44 degrees; at least the wind has decreased, so not too bad outside when I stepped out on the porch awhile ago.

Coffee, juices, and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And breakfast is ready and on the warmer/serving station bar.

Cannonball, it's been several years since our little center has seen that many people at Tuesday Produce.  And the only reason we saw that increase then, was because the other main center in this part of town was closed for inventory.  Otherwise, our usual high is about 80 - 90 people.

You all have a good morning, take care, keep safe and see you all later.

Looks like we're going to dodge a "direct hit" by the remains of Sandy.  The "eastern" midwest is going to get it instead.  I would like to be able to check out the waves on Lake Michigan first hand...

Getting things ready for the train show in Syracuse this weekend.  If anyone is going to be going to be there, stop by and say hi!
