Good Tuesday morning all.  31 very cold degrees here in Louisville this morning.  Don't think we're supposed to get over 50 degrees today, if that.

BOC, sounds like Spring is being a typical kitty.  Our Trapper Kitty like to get on top of the printer, press buttons and watch the paper slide out onto the tray.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And for breakfast this morning:

Bacon, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, hash brown taters, bagels and bear claws.

Everyone have a good morning, take care, keep safe and see you all this afternoon.

Good Evening

Cold, raw, and windy here in Londontown...all of 38F and feeling more like...erm...22F...

My wonderful little fluffball, my furry little Spring has discovered something new to pick away at...the little keypads on the laptop...so far he has picked 2 of them off...the 'a' and the 's'...both are discombobulated now....yay...

Anyways ...off to check the rest of the forums out...

Have a good evening!!!

Nice looking caboose in your picture, BC!  Getting colder by the hour here in Louisville this afternoon.  And the wind sure isn't making it feel any better outside.

Here's the menu for the rest of the day:

1.  Vegetable beef soup w/baked cornbread

2.  Chili (medium or mild) w/crackers and grilled cheese or PB&J sandwiches

You all have a good afternoon, keep warm & toasty, take care and see you later.

Good Monday morning all.  60 degrees here in Louisville at present,  with rain and wind.  Temps are to be dropping all day, going down into the 30s  by morning.  Highs rest of the week, are in the low to mid 50s, with overnight lows in the 30s.    Sounds like thermal underwear weather to me, folks.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And breakfast is also ready and waiting on the warmer station.

Everyone have a good morning, keep warm, take care and see you all this afternoon.

Took a ride down to Fulton, NY to a small train show there today.  On the way home, I took the scenic route, including a foray to the shore of Lake Ontario at a spot I've sailed past a number of times but had never visited from the shore side.

I was partially curious as to just how far down the lake is.  It's pretty far down.  After "rebuilding" a small bridge so I could get across a small stream flowing out onto the beach, I walked to a small point.  Out of curiousity, I shot the GPS coordinates.  The "tack" indicates where I was standing (at the edge of the water) at the time:

That's all rock there, and actually runs a fair distance out into the lake.  Another fellow walking on the beach said he now understood why he saw folks hung up there every now and then.

At least it was a nice day for a walk on the beach.  I was in short sleeves.  The next couple of days will certainly change that...

Joe, we didn't feel anything here.  The Church Warden, whom I have been riding with on Sunday mornings, said she was lying in bed yesterday morning, getting ready to get up, when she felt her bed start moving across the floor.  She now has some white scratches on her wall from the bed (a big cherry/mahogany bed) sliding across the floor.  She was going to walk around the perimeter of her house this afternoon to check for damage.

Here is our Sunday Dinner menu:

1.  Fried chicken w/mashed taters, milk gravy, green beans, corn, apple sauce and buttermilk biscuits.

2.  Roast, taters, carrots, choice of garden salad or slaw, and the above mentioned side dishes in #1.

Good Sunday morning all.  Not sure of temps this morning, as local news isn't on yet, but   it doesn't feel too bad outside.  Kind of pleasant, actually.  From what I heard last night, supposed to be another sunshiny day, with a high back in the low 70s.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And breakfast is ready and on the warmer station.

Other than that, don't know too much this morning.  Everyone have a good morning, take care going to work, Church, railfanning, or whatever else you have lined up for this morning, and I'll see you all this afternoon, after I get home from Church.

It has been a pretty good day around here.  Beautiful sunshine, and not too chilly outside (even though I've basically been in the house, doing laundry, which is now done).

Here is our Satuday Night Pizza Fest menu for tonight:

01.  Anchovie

02.  Canadian bacon

03.  Cheese

04.  Chicago style

05.  Goetta

06.  Ham & green pepper

07.  Hawaiian

08.  Italian sausage

09.  Pepperoni/mushroom

10.  Supreme

Hope everyone has had a good day, have a good evening, take care and see you all in the morning.

Ok.....Just got the tractor put to bed.....Might be the last mowing of the season.  If it is, it's a record for the least amount this season.  I believe since we built this house.

Looks nice now....pretty and dark green, and very few leaves.

Got my mittens installed on the outside water facets...A little extra protection for the Winter.  Have never had any freeze, and don't want any freezing.

Now if I could just find the half dozen spools of cutting string for my Worx edger / trimmer I know I have here someplace....I did order another half dozen, and perhaps will have them Monday...Then I can do the final edging to make it neat for the Winter.

Our day was certainly a very nice mild temp one and lots of sunshine.

Had lunch at our family restaurant today and no trains passed while we were there.  Generally it's not unusual to see perhaps 3 pass during that time.  Main CSX east / west in this area....Double track.  Maybe the Saturday runs are different.

Item:  Has anyone heard any news of the Roanoke hotel cam...It's been down since the storm hit the east seaboard.  Just checked the other one...and it had a nice clear picture, but with a change every few seconds, not very interesting.  There was one setting closest to the camera, and one passing on the other side of it...east bound.

Nice day, though.

Good Morning!!

A wonderfully dull, foggy, misty, mostly yucky day for our viewing pleasure.

Got a few days of staying off'n the feet here...so the ankle may get a chance of getting a bit less swole up...

Good Saturday morning all.   It's going to be a beautiful sunshiny day here in Louisville.  But I will be doing laundry, so probably won't get to enjoy the weather that much.    Joe, thanks for coming in early and taking care of breakfast and making the coffee and juice.  I really appreciate the help you guys give me around here.

Everyone have a fantastic day, enjoy the good weather, take care and see you all later this afternoon for our pizza fest.

And we have some more of the sunshine today thru light clouding at times.  57.9 degrees right now....That's pretty good.

Must put mittens on my outside spigots yet....and one more {at least}, mowing and it's to be nice tomorrow, so hope to be doing that.

Did dusting over the whole house today...and just finished cleaning one bathroom...The other does not get used much at all anymore......and have friends coming soon with Pizza, so won't start any more things to do around here today.

The winds of the last week or so, have treated me very well this year in getting rid of the neighbor's leaves....Seems they blew on by for the most part....More so, than I've seen for quite a long time.  Still a few to mulch, and we'll be doing that with the mowing.

Larry, that 20's temps for overnight sounds a bit cool.....That would be our avg. sometime later, but not yet.  Believe we reach that avg. bottom about the 3rd week in January, and that is about 18 degrees.   Then it starts back the other way....Hopefully.

Well, my biggest wait was in the exam room, waiting for the doctor to come in.  It was long enough, that I was about to fall asleep, sitting there in the chair.  But everything is okay, haven't had any shortness of breath, no chest pains, etc.  Good to go for the next 6 months, when I go back to him.

Looks like our Friday Fish Fry is ready  and on the warmer station.  All the regular kinds of fish, side dishes and desserts.

And our current temp is somewhere in the low 60s, should reach 66 by 4 p.m.  Beautiful sunshine , too.

Everyone have a good afternoon, enjoy and see you all later.

Hmmmm...  Haven't been on all day and I missed the birthday cake...

Best wishes, 'Mutt, and many more (from someone who's about three weeks older....)

Nice day here today - no rain forecast until Saturday.  But it's still fall - overnight temps in the 20's most nights.

Speaking of being old (only as old as you feel - some days 16, some days 60), it's time for bed...

Well, after sitting in the waiting room for almost 2 hours, finally got called back to an exam room.  Everything A-OK.  Now, 1 to go for tomorrow.   Finally got back home just before 2 p.m.  Don't have to see this doctor again until February.

For supper tonight:

Italian spaghetti w/meatballs or you can have meat sauce, garden salad and your choice of garlic Texas toast or Italian bread sticks.  Dessert tonight:  strawberry cheesecake, Angel food cake w/cherry frosting (Walt's favorite cake), and chocolate brownies.

Beautiful sunshine right now, at 4:24.  Not sure of exact temp, but somewhere in the mid 50s.  Everyone enjoy your evening, take care and see you all sometime tomorrow (not sure if I'll make it in here in the morning).
