Good Friday morning everyone.  Temps aren't too bad this morning, around 43 degrees here in Louisville, going for a high of about 64 degrees today.  Can't wait for that warmup, as I'm feeling a bit cold this morning, for some strange reason.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for us.  The 3 of us went to visit some friends of Walt's.  It was the first time either Sarah or I had met them.  We had a very enjoyable evening, and Sarah and I made a couple of new friends.  Going to have to go out and find a very nice Thank You card to send them.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  A nice selection of doughnuts, danish, muffins, bagels and bear claws are on the warmer/serving bar, along with some bacon, eggs and toast.

Everyone have a good morning, take care and see you all later.

From a very tired person

Snowed here overnight - an inch, maybe.  Not enough to break out the snowblower, although I'll push the snow off the driveway.

Breakfast is out of the way, time to go check the mail.

....Sunshine, and getting warmer...To be in the 50's today....Of course, no snow here.

Hope we don't pay a high price {later}, for all this unusual January weather.  Heating degree days running lower than last year, and below normal as well.

The lack of snow, besides hurting businesses that depend on it (like snowmobiling) doesn't bode well for waterlevels on the Great Lakes, either, not to mention wells, etc.

Syracuse, which usually gets well over 100" of snow per year, has had very little snow.  Even the "snow belt" on and around Tug Hill is well below average.

I can live without -40F, but we do need some of the white stuff.

....Our water table is plenty high in our area....Water was laying out on the Fairway behind me in Dec. and the ground must really be soaked to do that.

When we get our "share" of the white stuff Larry....If we could find a way, they {snowmobiling}, folks could have all we receive.

Dozens of golf carts on the Fairway behind us today.

Our seasonal "normal" snow fall here is about 25"....So that really doesn't produce much of the water here that we use.

But regardless, I'm sure sooner or later, we'll see it come....But in the meantime, we're cheating Winter.

At 4:40 p.m., we have a lovely temp of 63 degrees.  I can handle that very well.

Our Friday Fish Fry is now on the warmer/serving bar, with the regular fish, sides and dessert menu.

Walt said not only was the 'reunion' last night, great, but this friend is a former National Guard member (whom he served in the Guard with) , and a rail fan.  He gave Walt a very nice gift:  some old post war Lionel model trains.

Still very tired from our night out last night.  I've been going since 6:45 this morning.  Both the other members of the household are napping.  Guess I'll just go to bed early tonight.  Everyone enjoy your supper/dinner, have a good evening, take care and see you all later:  like probably in the morning.Sleep

Good Saturday morning everyone.  53 degrees here in Louisville this morning, with cloudy skies.   May see some rain later, think the report on the rain chances is iffy.

Feeling a little more refreshed this morning, after going to bed last night, just after 9 p.m.  and sleeping until 5:11 this morning.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  You also have a nice breakfast buffet on the warmer/serving bar, consisting of:  bacon, sausage, southwest omelettes, pancakes, waffles, grits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, fresh fruits, bagels, bear claws, and strawberry  and blueberry muffins.

Everyone enjoy your day, take care, and I'll see you all later this evening for our pizza fest.

CW - the body isn't far behind you, but the eyes won't make it until later in the morning.  Must let them feel the heat of a cup of coffee.  Must also rest them next to a bagel, too.

An indication of the E-W traffic through Deshler due to the IN incident?

All the snow melted.  Sunday the temps are supposed to get more seasonable.

Whistling Larry, do you have any info on the " snow gons" that left  Roanoke  last week?  That was interesting , the fact was not the first time  snow gons were shipped to a warm siding and it backfired.    Did this happen again??

06.  Ham & green pepper

10.  Supreme

Dessert pizzas:

01.  Apple

Thought I would stop by for a Supreme Pizza.

Not too bad of a day here. 32° now and we are looking at a high of 50° tomorrow.. Since it is Canada, in January, we can't avoid snow forever. They are calling for some flurries on Tuesday, but it is supposed to warm up again on Wednesday. Can't really complain about that.

No new RR news.Smile

Dunno - first I heard about this episode.  It would have backfired right here between yesterday and today.  We've had highs approaching 50 for several days.  Today we're around freezing.

At least the sun is out.  Still looking for snow here, though.

Good Sunday afternoon everyone (since this is the first time I've been in here today).  Woke up just before 6 this morning, went back to bed at 7, up at 9, then back to bed around 11 or so.  Just couldn't see to get fully awake this morning.  But now I am, have gone to the grocery, and done a couple of other things around the house.  Now, it is computer time.

Here is our Sunday Dinner menu:

1.  Homemade sloppy joes w/garden salad and fries

2.  Broiled rib eye steaks w/your choice of baked tater or steak fries, garden salad, and Brussels sprouts

Our current temp is 49 degrees, saw on the homepage that we got up to 51 degrees.  Clouding up outside, so guess we'll be seeing some rain later on.

Everyone enjoy your dinner, you evening, and take care.  See you later, probably in the morning.

Good Monday morning everyone.  40 degrees, with cloudy conditions, going for a high of about 51 degrees today.  Looks like we're to have a fairly nice day, with some sunshine breaking through the clouds.  Have cleaned everything up from last night, and starting fresh this morning.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  Usual breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, bagels, bear claws, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, toast are all on the warmer/serving bar.

I hope everyone had a very good weekend.  Also hope that you all will have a good day today.  Take care, and I'll see you all later.

.....Earlier this morning, 29 degrees, but plenty of sunshine.  Winds, Calm.

Headed to our eye Dr. this morning.  Hopefully, a correction in glasses can be made.

We're almost 1/3 the way thru January....and almost no snow to this point...Actually 1" on the 2nd.  Really amazing.  People playing golf behind us as they would in different seasons.

Some cooler weather headed our way later in the week, but I caught, on the weather channel earlier, there are no big snow storms out there to come down over us at this point in time.

We will get snow, but....sure are missing on the days we could have been.  Noted the snow cover this morning as it was over the country last season, same time, and compared to now....So much less overall.

So....wishing a good productive week for everyone.

Wow, everyone must be suffering from the post holidays blues, since hardly anyone has been in today.  Hope some come in this evening!

Here is our menu for tonight:

1.  Beef stroganoff w/fresh garden salad

2.  Homemade sloppy joes leftover from our Sunday Dinner

Everyone have a good evening, and I'll see you all in the morning.

Greetings and peace be with you. 48 and fog in Carolina this evening, and am waiting on the national championship game to start. I am pulling for nobody this time since the Thunderchickens are not involved.

Had a visit from a deputy earlier. Some low form vandalized the brick latticework on the entrance to our driveway. I called the neighbors and of course, nobody saw nuthin! It will be interesting to see what the sheriff finds during the investigation.

Everyone take care and see yall later.

Good Tuesday morning everyone.  36 degrees here in Louisville this morning.  This should be our good day of the week, temp wise.  Supposed to make it into the mid to upper 50s today, then the rain will be in tomorrow sometime.  Then, s-n-o-w for Thursday, maybe Friday, but not too much accumulation.

Tom, sorry to hear about your trouble.  When we had our garage, it was broken into at least twice.  Still waiting to hear back from police (and probably never will hear anything.  We've had 2 lawnmowers, a gas powered leaf blower, and something else that I can't remember now, stolen.  Along with someone trying to break into the back door.  He didn't succeed, because Walt and I heard the noise, and Walt went to investigate.  The guy (teen?) saw Walt, and took off, like he was shot out of a cannon.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the warmer/serving bar this morning:  bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, toast, bagels and bear claws.

Everyone have a nice morning, and I'll see you all after I get through with Tuesday Produce.

Just sayin hi. A pork roast with mashed potatoes & gravy with corn and bread-sticks would be good for lunch today... Barbara & I went looking at some new Chevys last week. We looked at the Cruze & the Sonic. The highway mileage of both is impressive. Barb decided not to buy though.

Good Morning.

Now that there is an upcoming proxy fight for control of the board of the CPR I felt it nessecary to change my Avatar. I didn't want any casual observer stumbling upon our scene here to think that I have any dog in their hunt. Once their little set to has concluded I will once again change my Avatar back to what I have always thought to be the best looking corporate logo in the history of Canada.

The new Avatar is the former Shepard station, moved from the mainline just east of Calgary onto Heritage Park. It is the same structure type as our station in Irricana, but there were some modifications made to deal with space constraints. The two windows you see on the second floor would have been where my parents bedroom was. My brother and I had bedrooms on the backside. Our kitchen, dinning room, and living room were along the back wall on the main floor.

It is SNOWING!! This is the first time that has happened in over a month. It is currently 24°F with a N 8 mph wind.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Bearclaw and tea will do nicely as I don my "snow dance" outfit.  We're well into January with no significant snowfall yet.

Snow is actually an inconvenience for me - I don't do any of the sports that require snow.  But the bigger inconvenience will be next summer when my well starts to have trouble keeping up with even a load of laundry.

Ignore the fellow in the funny outfit in my back yard.  And the funny dance he seems to be doing.

.....Another day with clear sky and sunshine....How wonderful.

Just went across the street to help  my neighbor with a potty not shutting off, and wearing my shorts and a light sweat shirt....In January...!

More golfers on the course here.

And....just checked the dozen photos over on Trains news wire.  A Good visual of extreme damage to so many freight cars..{and contents, I suppose}, and some engines that are no doubt finished.  maybe good for some parts, but looks like they had major fire damage besides the impact damage.

Saw some major flooding, I believe it was down in Houstion Ed's territory this morning on TV....massive flooding.

And snow some place...{didn't catch the first part of report}, with tremendous depth....Roofs with so much snow on them some were sure to cave....I don't know where it was....
