Still raining, raining, raining here in Louisville this afternoon. Guess one good thing about all this rain, is I'm seeing the buds beginning to show on the trees and bushes.
Going to have to try that You Tube link again, maybe I can see something on there this time.
Been working on the meal for the rest of the day, and will be replenishing it frequently: Mexican Fiesta time is here: Burritos, Tacos, Chimichangas, Fajitas, chalupas, Frito pie, Enchiladas, Smoked Cheddar bacon burgers.
Everyone take care and enjoy your afternoon/evening.

Good Thursday morning everyone. Except for maybe some drizzles today, the rain has left our area. We're basically at our high for today, at 43 degrees, so temp's not going anywhere today.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Breakfast is on the serving station (yes, everything from supper last night has been cleared away and thrown away, and serving station, and everything washed and clean).
Sarah got called early, working out at CSX's east end yard today.
Everyone have a very good morning, keep warm and take care.
morning
cw thanks for breakfast.got to go to bed.helping with matts school program this afternoon.
Rained here overnight, and continues to do so, but not like the other day. A whole .3" so far. Far more has been suggested, though. Haven't heard any pump details dispatched as yet, so perhaps this will just be enough to help melt the snow and not overwhelm any drainage.

According to our latest weather report, we are at 39 degrees F., with light rain/snow. Getting ready to take the bus up to Kroger, and do a little bit more shopping; but before I go, wanted to make sure you all had something for lunch
Today, with all you guys watching the NCAA 'playoffs', I thought we'd have pizzas for this afternoon/evening.
1. Anchovie
2. Canadian bacon
3. Cheese
4 Chicago style
5. Goetta
6. Hawaiian
7. Italian sausage
8. Pepperoni/mushroom
9. Supreme
Everyone have a good afternoon, keep warm, and take care. See you all later.
Almost a repeat of weather we had yesterday, but a bit cooler and very little rain. They are saying we might see some snow flurries today. Temps now...mid 30's. Not going to worry about any serious snow activity. Haven't had snow on the ground for some time now.
Coming soon we're told....Sunshine. Wouldn't that be nice.
Have Rush Limbaugh on my speakers at the computer here and it's a wonder the fire isn't spewing from them....he better have good body guards with the hot dialog trash he is putting out...Example: middle class union thugs...but using words I'll not repeat.

I don't listen to talk radio because I usually realize that what's being said is pretty one sided, however convincing it may sound.
I've had the Netherlands cam on for the past hour or so and they've really opened the floodgates. They won't have any problem with the green lights in the signals burning out - I think every train has been running on the previous train's yellows.
CW, pizza is as good when you are watching Curling as when you are watching the NCAA. I haven't been sleeping well because of my recurring shoulder pain, so I am only now having lunch. 2:30 MST.
I was awake when you made your first post this morning, and it was about 4 or 5 degrees warmer then than it is now, 34°F. I was looking at the temperature trend for the last 12 hours and we have been really bouncing between 25° and 38° depending on the wind.
Quentin, your comment about talk radio reminds me of something I thought of about 20 years ago. I thought then that the Calgary Taxi and Limousine Commission should put devices on the cabs AM Radios to block talk radio. The cabbies listen to it while they are waiting for their next fare, and it raises their blood pressure 20 points, while decreasing their ability to drive safely!

Quentin, I'm so glad my new car came with Sirius radio. I liked it so much I got another Sirius radio installed in my Jeep. I can now drive to work and listen to such stations as BBC World Service or CBC One.
And i don't have to worry about a radio station fading out in the country or the middle of the mountains.
MurrayQuentin, I'm so glad my new car came with Sirius radio.
My current truck came with Sirius - and that's all that's ever on (usually 60's on 6, with occasional forays to Classic Rock). However I found out tonight that Simon and Garfunkel are on 113 all of the time for the next week or two, so you'll find me there....

Right on Murray....That's the only way to get decent listening audio / music and whatever one chooses to listen to off the airwaves. Some months ago back in 010 I retrofitted our stereo system in our family room with XM radio capability. The car has it too, but we don't have it active....Example: The car has been sitting in the garage for over two months, unused now....and care not to be paying 2 premiums. I know one can carry a unit from car to house, etc....but didn't want to fool with that...and the car has it in the installed radio. But when we care to have no comercial, decent audio...in music. It's available right there in the family room
I was unnecessarily concerned where i was going to put my little cig. pack sized antenna for the system that might give me a good signal, and it turns out I didn't need to be concerned. The little antenna is placed right besides the stereo receiver on a hutch and...bingo....Three bars of signal. it points {in general}, south. Works fine.

Yep... 50's on 5, 60's on 6, Road Dog Trucking, The Roadhouse, and Bluegrass Junction...besides news channels.
I'm all set!
Good Friday morning everyone. Guess my now, most of you have heard on the news about the earthquake in Japan, and the tsunamis that are headed for Hawaii and the West Coast. The pictures are unbelievable, when you've never actually seen a tsunami in your life, except for watching Hawaii Five-O reruns.
Coffee, juices and the rest of the morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Bagels, bear claws and an assortment of doughnuts and danish are on the serving station, along with bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, toast and jelly.
Just looked out the front door, and actually saw a robin in the front yard! This is literally the first time I've seen a robin since last fall. (And I know Walt saw one or two last month.)
Would you guys like some baked barbecued ribs for this afternoon/evening, or do you want the regular fish fry?
Sun is shining, and the last I heard, our temp was 35 degrees. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day.
matt was on time to school today.mother nature left some black ice on the roads.cars had the dithchfinders on.I went with mamma unptown and now she went for a haircut.Cw fish fry sounds good for supper tonight.going to do chores and then watch basketball this afternoon.wetaher guessers are saying 60 by st patricks day????wow.
joe
Ribs with all the trimmings will be fine. The tv has us glued to the chairs because of the quake. Stay tuned .

Y6bs evergreen in my mind
....Busy morning....hi ye all....lots of sunshine here this morning. What a pleasure to see it again. Temp now just about 40.
{Murray}, finally, that car thats been resting in the garage for over 2 months, finally got it's call to go today....Dry streets, sunshine, and Jean had to follow me to the dermi Dr. and we {finally..!}, found from a culture, the antibiotics I've been taking for 2 weeks will not work on a removed spot on my ear.....
But...bingo...! Now we have antibioitics that WILL do the job. Will be glad to let them do the job and get the ear healed.
So then Jean headed for the grocery store as I headed for the pharmacy.....Hence the resting car was put to use.
Started on the first shot from the starter. Guess that's modern computer, engine controls, and all the rest.
CW & Walt....For some reason, we've been seeing {lots} of Robins here in our area for over a month now....Just yesterday coming back to the house, and passing a field that had I believe it was soybeans...had Robins in flocks all over it.
We have wondered why we've been seeing so many come back in the Winter months....mystery to us.
Johnny
Sorry I've been so long in getting back in here today. Been a little bit on the busy side, scheduling ride to therapy next week, and going back to the grocery store this afternoon. Plus, watching the SEC tournament and seeing Kentucky WIN!! But, here is tonight's menu:
1. Our regular Friday Fish Fry, with all the different kinds of fish and side dishes.
2. Baked barbecued ribs w/baked beans, slaw, salad, broccoli w/cheese sauce, or whatever sides you'd like from the fish menu.
Everyone have a good evening, take care and see you all tomorrow.
That's right - it's time to "spring forward" an hour (for those who play).
While the original campaign focused on the fall time change, it's still not a bad idea to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. Normally they're good for a year, though, so if it passes the "push the button" test and you replaced the batteries in the fall, you're all set.
good morning
breakfast is ready.juice and coffee are ready.Matt is going with his cousins for some irish learning at the library after we workout with mom.Ohio State plays this afternoon too.Busy busy day. Will spring forward tonight. Will need a couple pizzas for supper.
Good Saturday morning everyone. Joe, thanks for taking care of opening up, and getting breakfast ready. I really slept in this morning: it was after 7 when I awoke. Moving kind of slow this morning.
Kentucky plays at 1 p.m. EST, so you know where I'll be: in front of the TV, with my Wildcats jersey on. Joe, hope your team wins today, and anyone else here who has teams playing today.
Everyone have a very good day. It's 47 degrees w/sunshine here in Louisville this morning. See you all this evening, with our pizza menu.
.....Our day starts with nice blue sky, and moderate temps....Mid 40's and rising.
More problems in our world....Tragic tour bus accident in NYC with over a dozen killed.
Of course, the tragic situation in Japan....Imagine, millions without power....food....water....and a possible Nuclear security break down...!
Hello everyone. 26°F right now, with a high of 41° predicted. Boy, have the guessers been missing the boat around here lately. They were calling for a high in the forties yesterday, and it barely made it above +10°. They didn't do much better on Thursday.
Well, I will be watching playoff games in the Canadian Men's Curling Championship today. The sports media are bending themselves into contortions to pat themselves on the back. For the first time in a number of years the four teams they predicted to make the playoffs, actually did! I'm glad I don't have money riding on this, because the sentimental favourite I would like to see win, and the team I really think will win are both in the chase this weekend.
In real life we wouldn't listen to people who are wrong as often as weathermen and sports casters!
Everyone have a good day.
evening
cw thanks for the pizzas. We are now watching the reds play the cubs in Las Vegas.Matt got to try scones and listen to some jigs at the library.going to get some more chores done.
And the devil went down to Georgia......
About 70 down here in Albany, got down with an interplant load this afternoon, and got the four dreaded words: No load available yet. Going to be an ugly week, started with engine problems, and delays at a shipper. It's just part of the business, though, hopefully this won't be the theme of the month....
Will take a ham and green pepper pizza tonight, then into the sleeper for rest.....

YES!! Our Cats won this afternoon, against Alabama! Way to go guys; let's hope Liggins and Lamb recuperate from their ankle problems soon.
Here is our Saturday Night Pizza Fest menu:
2. Cheese
3. Chicago style
4. Goetta
5. Ham & green pepper
9. Canadian bacon
10. Supreme
Desserts: Yellow cake w/chocolate icing, peach cobbler, strawberry/rhubarb pie, pineapple upside down cake. And there's several kinds of ice cream in the freezer, if anyone wants their cake/pie, cobbler ala mode.
Even though we've had a very windy day, our high got up to 68, 69 degrees. Looks like we're finally on the right path towards spring (which comes in a week from tomorrow, 3/20/11).
Everyone enjoy your pizzas, have a good evening, take care, and I'll see you all in the morning.
