Evening all. It's evenings like this I love.Thumbs Up

What a gorgeous day! It’s 69* right now, it was 71*, but still really nice with a good breeze blowing in the westward window by my Computer.

We had a good Sunrise Service today at church. It was an honor to serve such an awesome god on Easter! The tomb is empty! He is risen!

Have a good evening all!

Justin

'Tis a beautiful Easter Day, despite the cool weather (from the low thirties to the mid-forties) and the promise of more snow (it snowed some last night).

Two services at our church this morning--seven and ten in the morning, with breakfast in between.  Going in for the first service, I saw little except for the streets, but when I went back home and brought Ricki in, we had a beautiful view of the snow-covered Wasatch Front.

The hyacinths by the front door are still looking good, even though they started coming out two weeks early. It's nice to have flowers that demand no attention but only ask for appreciation of their beauty.

Rejoice! He lives!

good evening

Matthew did an excellent job this morning with his friends on their songs.Everyone complimented him after church. While at G+G house someone down the road tried to burn their trash and it quickly turned into a field fire. The fire departments got it stopped before it made the woods. As far as we know no one was hurt and no buildings were damaged.Time to get back into the routine.Matt has school tomorrow and we go back to work tomorrow night.I am going to grab some jellybeans and help mom put stuff away.

We had an enjoyable Easter here- I was roused by the alarm at 5 AM to join the Chancel Choir at the 7 AM and 8:30 AM services.  Following that, we entertained our son and DIL for a dinner of steak on the grill.  He then trounced me in two games of ping-pong, and we split two games of cribbage.  They left and I got in a nap.  Now we're just relaxing and cleaning up.

We had a good supper tonight--Ricki's favorite quadruped, lamb (I really prefer beef, which she eats to humor me). Early last week, I found a "semiboneless" leg of lamb in our favorite grocery store (the first leg I had seen there in many a year) and bought it. It seems to be not as difficult to carve as the other legs I have worked on--the first one seemed to have bones that went in every possible direction and some directions that I thought were impossible. She tells me that her mother would put several whole cloves of garlic into a leg of lamb before roasting it; I cut one clove up and put the pieces around in several places, giving a slightly garlic flavor to the roast.

Good Monday morning, everyone.  It sounds like everyone had a very good Easter yesterday.  The only thing the Easter Bunny left here, were three plastic eggs with M&Ms in them.  And, believe it or not, none of us have broken them open yet, although I did take the wrapper off mine.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  And for breakfast this morning:

1.  BLTs

2.  Cereal w/toast and fresh fruit

3.  Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs w/made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy

Well, today is "T" day for me:  Starting therapy on my back this morning.  Anybody here ever have that?  I really don't know what to expect, when I go in there this morning.  Wondering if I'll be in a late of pain, etc.

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll see you all sometime this afternoon.

Good morning. 77 and sunny in Carolina. What a lovely day. Not a whole lot to report at present, we had a good resurrection day and slept well. That's about it.... Everyone take care and enjoy this weather.

Just caught up with this thread.

Larry - So sorry about the dal. That's never a fun decision to make. I still remember how awful I felt when I had to make that decision with my Keeshond growing up.

Murray - So sorry to hear about Kevin. I don't know why I know the name, but I know I do. Did he have any published photos anywhere?

Paula, good luck with your therapy. That may be down the road for me but right now it is cortesone shots. They will only administer a total of three in six months and I had the first one last Monday. It has relieved the pain substantially.

My bride (of 56 years) was taken for a 125 mile ride to see the desert flowers and then a fine Easter dinner. With all of the rain AZ experienced the flowers are exceptional this spring but will be gone soon when the AZ heat begins.

Good afternoon, all.  Well, I made it home safely.  I will have the first therapy session Friday at 9:30 a.m.  He said some exercises, but didn't say what exercises, and heat therapy.  Measured my back, had me bend forward, backward, left and right.  Did good, except for bending to the left.  That brought a real good pain.  Will go twice a week for the month.

Chris, good to see you in here!  Hope you get in more often!!

Jack, sounds like you and the Mrs. had a very nice Easter.

The menu for the rest of the day:

1.  Burgers and cheeseburgers w/your choice of fries (reg. or curly) and garden/tossed salad

2.  Fried steak w/cream of mushroom soup over it, w/steak fries, broccoli w/cheese sauce and garden/tossed salad

We have a current temp of 80 degrees, with partly sunny and cloudy skies.  Maybe we'll end up getting some rain showers, after all (especially since Sarah's gotten the grass cut and the weeding done).

Everyone enjoy your afternoon ,keep safe, take care and I'll see you all later.

Beautiful day here in the Piedmont of NC. Dogwoods, Red-bud, Oaks, Maples, Pines and all their ilk except the Persimmon trees are in bloom (Ahhhh-Chooo). Great day however for sharing Iced Tea on the backyard deck with Lynda (the wife gets Easter Monday off due to her being a church musician)

Hope to get by more often Miss Paula,

Thanks for the glass of tea.

N C in the early Spring sure is blessed with beautiful blossoms, greens and all the rest....We used to stop at Saluda, N C early in the season returning from Florida and witnessed it.

Eastern SC is covered in a thick coating of lime green pine pollen. When I look out the window, I sometimes see a green fog often with a swirling motion as the air currents stir things up. The wife can't even step outside without even getting a headache, and the girls come in green. The weather is beautiful, but the pollen is extreme. Looking forward to seeing the last of it!

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  It's going to be a nice, lovely day today.  We currently have 71 degrees, going for a high again today of 85 and plenty of sunshine.  Roy, welcome back.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go, including the hot water for hot tea, and there's plenty of iced tea (sweet & unsweetened), along with plenty of Gatoraid for mudchicken and anyone else who wants some.  There's also a pretty good selection of Vitamin Waters to choose from.

On the serving station this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage links & patties, scrambled eggs, buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, fresh pineapple chunks/slices, and other fresh fruit.

Where is our Mookie?  Looks like she's M.I.A.

Well, you all have a good morning, and I'll see you all later on, after I get through with Tuesday Produce.

Mookie reporting in:  Have a mild sinus headache this morning.  Nothing coffee and 2 non-aspirin won't help.

It is drippy here (in more ways than one) - tinkled a little overnite and now just sneezy.  But warmer than yesterday.  Found our "Observer" sitting on the front lawn in her usual place.  Watching the world go by.  If this is the original one, she would be at least 3 years old, which is old for a wild rabbit.  Maybe a small note in grass that sez "Bunny Stop - Please Face the Street"  for the new generations.

Our one crow is announcing the dawn and our one woodpecker seems to have found a McD's in a tree close by.

Keeping busy, altho I can't tell you exactly how.  Just seems like the days are now make the bed, lunch and unmake the bed.  Not sure what goes on in between, but a lot of fuss and feathers whatever it is.

Off to work on those feathers....

We had a great storm last night. Over an inch of rain and even some hail. Like usual, the land of Mookie (aka Lincoln) managed to miss out on it. Nice today, but tomorrow it's going to be cold with a high of just 50 degrees.

Easter "vacation" is over and now it's time to head back to finish the semester. There's less than a month left!

.......Our central Indiana is bathed in beautiful Spring ambience this morning.....Mild Spring temps.  Had a weather system move across the bottom half of this State last night and we felt just the northern end of it for a short time.

Oh, what a beautiful time of the year....Just perfect.  Before high humidity and extreme temps set in.  Season seems to be about on target, maybe just a bit ahead of normal.  {First mowing was Mar. 27th...}.

April thru May sure are nice times here....{if we can escape the possible Spring storms}.

Yard is beautiful....Golf course Fairway adds to the beauty behind us....

Trivia:  Note the trees visible on the Roanoke rail cam are fast "springing" forth their leaves....The ones at the right side of the pic. are now doing that too....They seemed to be a bit slower than the ones over on the other side of the tracks.

Our favorite renovation contractor visited this morning and we're in the process of deciding on a new patio door for him to install for us....So that is started now again.....Tried to do that last Summer late but could not come to an agreement with Pella people....Price way out of line.

I note we're to have some {30 mph}, wind gusts mid day today and just now see the trees whipping around quite a bit.....That with clear blue skies.  To moderate this afternoon.

Wishing a good day to all present....Cool

Good afternoon from sunny Carolina. 86 degrees outside at present, warm and pleasant, but hot and miserable coming fast, I am afraid. The pollen is still of the pea soup fog variety, which seems to have no end. I am slightly under the weather today, so am a bit grumpy. There is nothing on the wireless to divert my attention and I have read most of the literature in sight, so am hitting the internet hard to keep from going into stir. That said, I am going to the Roanoke railcam. Everyone take care

Tom, hope  you feel better soon.  My allergies are really kicking in today.  Usually wait until bedtime to use the Flonase, but had to use it about 20 minutes ago.  Beginning to be able to breathe without having the snuffles.

Our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta is now on the warmer bar.  All the usual Mexican dishes, along with Mesquite grilled steaks, pork chops and chicken.

Dessert will be:  cherry cobbler and blackberry pie ala mode.

I haven't looked at the thermometer lately, but you can tell it is getting warm!

The Produce truck came really early this morning:  8:35!  That is the earliest it has ever gotten here.  They brought:  potatoes, iceburg lettuce, apples and little packets of Country French salad dressing.

Everyone have a very nice afternoon, take care and I'll see you all later on.

Weather in the north woods of NY suitably gloomy today, as the Dal has gone "over the rainbow."  Tough decision, but it had to be made.

On the railroad tomorrow.

It's been cold and wet here in Sioux Falls all day today, and it was raining here when I got out of bed round 6:00 this morning. At last report the temp here was 44 degrees.

There has been plenty of rail traffic throughout my neighborhood today, but I've not really seen anything, and I had gone for a walk late this morning because my health demands it. I was hoping I would encounter a some action with either the BNSF or the Dakota and Iowa. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be a lot nicer and I will take my camera with me on tomorrow's walk and maybe I will get lucky this time around.

Larry, my sympathies are with you, no one likes to have to put their dog to sleep and I am sure that sending your long-time four-legged friend "over the rainbow" was not an easy decision.

While I have never had a dog of my own, I have five cousins in the state of Colorado, all of which a few years ago had strongly recommended that I get myself a dog, and I am now giving some serious consideration to following through on that and getting myself an extra "friend". I started looking at the web sites of our local humane society and Second Chance Rescue yesterday afternoon. I am now more or less retired, I am not working, so why not??

Oh Larry, I am so sorry for that news. It is never easy to lose an old friend. I have been there several times and it still hurts when I think about it. May G-D bless you in this time.

I sat on the back porch for a while this afternoon, and believe it or not, there was very little pollen in the air. There was however plenty on the ground, vehicles, the girls, and every place else. What we need is a good drenching rainstorm to straighten things out a bit, although it may turn into pollen flurries before it is over....

Everyone take care, and thanks Paula for the good wishes. I DO feel some better.

Larry, Sympathies are going out to you on the loss of a friend.

Sounds like over "The Rainbow Bridge" was the best you could do.

As CW had mentioned earlier, we're debating on having Win put down...we're, (and she) are just hanging on hoping that's not going to happen anytime soon.
