For supper tonight my family is grilling out! UMMM!
As Quinton said, beautiful weather today! All week it has been. Adrian, awesome pix!
See you all later!

Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome back to Dan! Glad to hear everyone is doing o.k.
Well, as Joe would say, I've been spending the day paying Bill(s), and going to the grocery store. I was so tired when I got home, I had to take a nap. The crowd in the store gave me a whopper of a headache. Much better now, after my nap.
It keeps looking like we'll get some rain, but it's going to the northwest of us. Although, when Walt went to the library, he kept hearing thunder, and thought he'd get caught in a downpour (he didn't though).
In honor of Dan being back in, I've fired up the grill, and here's our menu for tonight: burgers, hot dogs, brats, corn on the cob, baked beans, green beans, potato salad (German and American), cole slaw, garden salad.
Everyone enjoy your meal, your evening, and take care.

Joe, Apparently Bill has a HUGE mailing list, I even have to pay him once in awhile, even after CW pays the "joint ones".

Thought I might get over this way during a slight slow down in looking over the troubled assets of my employer. The hamburgers were very good Miss Paula , and thanks Mr. Tom for looking in on me the other day . My time got away from me for a while. We are getting some more hands to help us out in a couple of weeks, so I might get to actually get come in and sit a spell with some folks whose company I enjoy.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend,

ModelcarAdrian......I'm amazed you are permitted to display some of the video you posted yesterday....Such as in flight {take off}, etc.....They certainly were something different and I'm sure most thought they were enjoyable....Just wondering about all the regs. in the service, etc.....
No line badges shown. Nothing else you can get from google off of boeing websites and PA air force pages.
blhanelHey Adrian, cool pics and video! Any idea if those cockpit displays in the C-17 are Rockwell Collins' displays?
Which ones? I change them all and a few other things made by rockwell, but no displays.

Good Friday morning, everyone. Adrian, it's good to see you were back in here, early this morning! Keep up the good work that you all are doing over there!
We currently have a temp of 67 degrees this morning, going for a high again in the low 80s, probably around 83, 84 degrees today. No rain in sight for our immediate area: seems to be going southwest of us, with a few sprinkles to the southeast of the Louisville area.
Coffee, juices, iced teas, lemonade, are freshly made this morning, along with Gatorade for Sir Mudchicken, and hot water for hot tea for Larry.
Our regular Friday morning doughnuts, danish, bagels, bear claws and blueberry muffins are on the warmer bar, for your enjoyment.
There is a possibility that I won't be around for lunch time, as Walt and I will be out and about. So if one of you could handle our Friday Fish Fry, I would really appreciate it. I have to go find new shoes, to wear with this ankle/arch support brace, and there's several other items we have to get today, especially a new cordless phone to have at the computer desk. We're both getting pretty tired of going to the kitchen to answer the phone.
Everyone enjoy your breakfast, have a good morning, and I'll see you all sometime later on this afternoon. Those who have little trips planned for the holiday weekend: be careful, stay safe, and take care, so we'll see you back here Tuesday!
Special note: I did see advertised on our local TV station, that next weekend, Sept. 11 - 13, the Disney Christmas Train will be here in Louisville. I believe it will be at Union Station, but I'm not completely sure about that. I imagine Mutt will be able to give more info on that.
Good morning all. A sad day here. I just got a message from my good friend in Zimbabwe that his wife passed away. It is a shock to say the least. Maybe this will be the impetus for him to go and stay with his son in England and get away from the chaos there.
65 and clear in Carolina this dewy morning. The girls came back in wet and naturally want to get on the bed! Everybody take care

joe
CW - The Christmas train was here in Omaha last weekend, but I didn't get a chance to see it. Hopefully you'll have better luck.
Tom - You have my condolences.
Joe - A fog delay? That's about as good as when they delay school here because it snowed an inch overnight.
Off to college. Only two classes today: Calculus and Rhetoric & Composition.
Willy
Lots to do today. Main computer at house is shot - glad I have wireless so I can use my laptop. I just hope I can save all the files.
An inch of snow? We don't even call out the snow plows! Fog, however, I can understand.
Got a t-shirt order to put together for the fire department, so back to work!

An inch or so of snow would shut the state down here. It's kinda like an inch of rain in California causes a quantum leap in motor vehicle accidents. They could really use the rain now....
And Inch of snow as for stalling school time, etc....not even in play, but fog, yes that can be serous stuff and very dangerous for driving for anyone....Especially when a bus is loaded with school children and making stops in each block of a community, etc....Fog stalls school start times here frequently at certain times of a season.
For us this morning....Partly cloudy, and now more sunshine than not, so it seems our nice weather is continuing. To be 81 today. Mid 60's when I first looked this morning. Nice morning.
Quentin
I'm just not sure about the whole fog thing. Unless the fog is excessively dense, it seems that just slowing down and taking it easy should keep everyone safe. If people don't know that, they shouldn't be driving a car/bus/truck in the first place.
Not using any electronic communication devices while driving would solve a myriad of problems.

Willy.....You said the magic words "if people don't know that"......You can not depend on 100% of the drivers to slow down in dense fog. They are "in a hurry" and a little thing like fog is not much of a deterrent to them....Hence fog is a dangerous time for all of us to be driving. You just can not count on all people slowing down....and with school buses, we surely don't want to take that chance do we.....

Oh yah…
Just the other day my bus driver was turning around in a field. (yah a field) The fog was as thick as pea soup. A grader was out leveling off the gravel roads, and barley saw us. He slammed on the breaks, and the horn too. Needless to say, someone of a higher power was with us that day.
Well, today went rather well. Not much to talk about. 81* here in Western Indiana.
I am going to expand my model railroad (the JSRRC) in the garage. Will get a another table, move the old one out to the garage bolt the 2 together, and will start planning!
Any other ideas are welcome!

Randy, that's about the way I feel right now. After I 'left' here this morning, went to the grocery store and bank, so I could get Walt's and my bus tickets; then, when I got back home, it wasn't long before we left to go to Walmart. I did find me a new pair of shoes (not sneakers, but actual casual/dress shoes that lace up. So hopefully, the orthotist will approve of them. We also got a new cordless and it's plugged in, right here by the computer. Plus, several other things we needed, along with some real nice looking meat!
I've got the fish on the warmer bar, along with all the side dishes, and the regular list of cobblers and pies for dessert.
Yeah, fog is really bad when you're driving on the roads. I remember when I used to work at KMart, one morning I left to go to the bus stop, and you couldn't see you hand right smack dab in your face, the fog was so thick: and that's with us living right here in the city, not the suburbs! We didn't even know the bus was at the bus stop, until it got right up to us, and opened the door.
Everyone have a great evening, enjoy your supper, and take care. See you in the morning.
Justin, check your facebook
Oy, what a last few days it's been. I don't care what they say about the economy, we are running like gangbusters, plus I have been having mechanical problems lately. Not a good thing when a crack in the air compressor dumps air into the cooling system (still has not been changed, they are waiting for an oil sample to come back first)
Only got into the 70s here today, should get down to 50 tonight, good sleeping weather. Speaking of sleep, see everyone later......
If the winds blow in from the Persian Gulf, we get 100 percent humid on top of 130, and it makes for some interesting weather.
Open a door to the plane, and the fog just rolls in.
When I was stationed at Vandenberg AFB in CA, we often had what we called "Vandenfog," which was actually just low clouds. I know, all fog is basically clouds, but if you dropped down into the valley, it stayed above you as opposed to rising up from the ground. But it was really dense stuff.
And people don't slow down in fog...
Got a fair amount done today. Railroad tomorrow.
Those of you who I could locate got a facebook add as friend request. If you got one from Tom, it be Grampaw! Those of you who I couldn't find and want on as friend, PM me....
well the pulls at the fair were good.saw some engines pop before they could get started.some of the mini tractors lost their front axles coming down the track too.The hometown boys won the 4x4 truck division.Breakfast is ready to go.Going to get cleaned up and go to G+G house today.
OH! It’s you!
Good Saturday morning, everyone. Joe, thanks so much for getting breakfast this morning. Everything looks really good this morning!
I think we're going to be out and about this afternoon, so our pizza fest might be a little bit late tonight.
I think we're supposed to get back up into the low to mid 80s today for a high. Current temp is in the mid 60s. Nice sunshine, and so far, doesn't feel too bad outside. Everyone have a great day, doing whatever you need to do, be safe, and take care. See you all later.
Good morning. 72 and partly clear in Carolina, headed for the upper 80s later. Not much to offer yet, but will check back later today. Take care
Morning all.
CW, glad you got some new shoes! Hope you enjoy them!
Well, a lovely morning today. Hovering around 60* this morning. Look’s like we will be going to Turkey Run State Park today. It is a beautiful place. I can’t wait.
GP,
I found you on face book. I didn’t know who it was until you told me! Anyhow, I posted on your wall.
Yall, have a god day, and a good Labor Day Weekend!
Justin

Justin, I'm very sure she'll enjoy them, mainly because she'll have something on her feet. It's extremely hard to find shoes to fit her small feet, and with this new brace....well, even harder. She generally has to get "Child Size" shoes, figuring out if she wants to wear any of her favorite Cartoon Charactors.
Looks to be another busy day around here today, not sure I'm totally over being on the run all day yesterday or not.
Now; about that game on Facebook........................................
