creak...............^ ?  x#   x#  x#  dang....clip, clip   ###################  much better.

Time for an update.

We have been sold again.  In case you haven't been through this saga before, we live in a duplex - all 810 sq feet of it.  Built as a side-by-side, each unit two story, two bedroom, living room, kitchen, basement and a closet that pretends to be a bathroom.  Carbon copy of the one next door that is now a 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath also 810 sq feet.  Our 2nd owner was a creative contractor that should have been in another occupation.  Two of us and cat was iffy if anyone was in a hurry.  Now just two of us and little better.

Anyway - young couple bought it with best intentions, but not real landlord savvy.  Now it is a retired gentleman with a grown son.  He seems to be a little more savvy about property (owns some other rentals) and was very nice to talk to (that means he won't raise the rent right away)  Had four sitting in the living room and two people couldn't stand at the same time.  Need to get up one at a time and move to the front door.

We have been there almost 9 years and 4 owners.  That's one more owner than neighbors.  (it is still vacant if any of you are interested in living vertically and brushing your teeth in a closet.  Close to trains to watch, too.

Cold front headed this way.  At 8:30 last nite (bedtime) it was about 25 miles west of us.  4 am it was 20 miles west of us.  At this rate, it should be to BC in Chicago about October, Joe in November and Tree in.....well I can't predict that far in advance.  So heat has gone down a bit, but the humidity is just about where the temp used to be.  You get extreme heat or extreme humidity.  No choice.  No rain either. It's August. It's eastern Nebraska.  It's normal.

Now about that new coffee cup.  Mutt - maybe a bigger coffee pot?

X for Duchess....

Mo

We just bought our daughter a very nice little Nikon model a couple of months back for a college graduation present.  I think it was 5 MP, and only $150.

You part Gypsy?  I was thinking the $200 range.  Do they make a waterproof one?

DAN: I can reccomend the fujifilm S5600 camera, It has a 10X optical zoom which is equivalent to a 30-380mm 35mm lens. has an ISO range of 64 -1600 has tons of features that a DSLR has. it takes really good pictures (5.1mp) looks very similar to a DSLR. It cost me $A399 I imagine, it would be far cheaper in the US....

I mentioned to a Pastor friend of mine the situation with your dog and he said he'd pray too.  Now the Varisty is in your corner!

Can anyone reccomend a good digital camera that's not too expensive?  Mine just got a hydration funeral!

Is this heat wave because we're downwind of birthday candles in Arizona?

Afternoon All

Duchess and I returned to her vet today for a recheck.  They gave her another RX as she was running a fever.  The regular vet was not there so she saw a sub.  Right now we are staying the course with the other meds and the special food for liver damage.  She has another appointment next Friday.  She does not seem better, but she does not seem worse either so that is good.  We are still hoping and praying for a good outcome.  Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCE 69

Everyone Take Care

Good Morning to You All,

First Off, Happy B-Day [bday] to Nance69! Hope you have a great one!

Mook, like the reversed look this morning. You should wear it more often, even if it isn't St. Patty's Day. I just went to an Irish Festival in Silver Plume on Saturday (I even had some Corned Beef and Cabbage!), so it's all good by me. BTW, Mutt looks like he's straining himself a bit with the Coffee Cup, I had better go see if an amateur photographer and a mutt can drag a kitty's coffee cup around.

Well, I had best be off. I get to head to a Pre-Con meeting down in the Springs this morning. Normally that would have been a nice mini-road trip (we don't get to the Springs too often) but Alas! we've got steel grey skies in all directions this morning. Still might take a camera with, but I doubt I'll use it.

Anyways, hope you all have a great day!

TTFN!

Q ^~^ Q  I got tired of the same old look, so had my groomer reverse it.  Probably should have kept it for St Patty's Day, but want to try it out well in advance.

Bought a new cup for my coffee, too, but having trouble getting it through the door.  It will be a great place to nap after the coffee is gone.  Maybe Joe will come in soon and pull it through the door for me.  (leave it on the floor - NLR (no lifting required)

One of those days.

Good morning, everyone!  Another hot, sticky morning.

Coffee is ready, and juice & lemonade are made.

Breakfast this morning:

I've put out boxes of cereal on the counter, and there
is plenty of milk in the cooler.

Good evening, everyone.  Nice and hot and sticky here tonight!

Have been updated on Sarah's return to Philadelphia:  she called from the train station, and was waiting for the train
that will take her close to her house.  So she did make it back
safely.

Looks like one Crock Pot of pork chop abracadbra is all gone!!
I have put the other Crock Pot in the fridge (has the remov-
able crock) and if anyone wants any tonight, just put it on
a plate, and zap it in the microwave for 2 1/2, 3 minutes.

Ed,

It's very worthy of framing. It gets my vote for best portrait ever by a long shot. I still get chills looking at it. Those eyes....
