First one in again this morning -

Jim will trade Duchess for duplex neighbor. He has a cell phone that he has to take outside to use. So after we go to bed, he stands on the porch and yells into his cell phone. Now my thinking is why would he need the expense of a cell phone, when we can hear him quite clearly with all the doors and windows closed. Just yell at his callee!

Plus he has a vocabulary that would melt paint on the nearest house! [B)]

Sigh....

Since I "opened" the Depot Diner & Coffee Shop I kinda watch the "count" of guests. The Diner has now had slightly over 2,000 customers (views) with many of them being repeat customers. I like repeat customers [;)] [:)] [:D] .

Tonight I am having Cream of Potato Soup. Anyone want to join me for a nice hot bowl, I will be glad to share. [:p]

Another 10 hour shift tonight so I am tired. It will be 330 am in a few minutes so that means I won't be in bed till around 4. [:(] Duchess will get me up by 9 at the latest. [:(] Anyone want a Doberman? Just kidding, she is my "kid" and even though she is very onary I just couldn't get rid of her. She will be 2 in June.

Try using self control..

when you get a car, are you going to wreck it everytime, jsut to keep yourself from driving it?

Not a prophecy you may want to follow for very long.

Here is a chat item from the "Today In History" website:

May 25

1927 Henry Ford stops producing the Model T car and begins producing the Model A.

I wouldn't mind having a few of these in 1:1 scale. [;)]

Short nite - going to curl up in corner. Help yourself to coffee....

Jim,

Your right, I'm drooling as we speak. I really don't mind squash all that much, but it's not very high on the list of favorite (and first choice for) fruits and vegatables.

Uh-oh!

How much coffee is this going to take?

(Glad you're OK, Sis...would have called, but dealing with pre-company and pre-recital jitters around here!)

Got the coffee on and had to go to bakery and buy white bread and stuff some raisins in it for Modelcar! The things I don't do for you people!

Nora here, Nora gone. Tornado here, tornado gone. Details after coffee - lots of it.

Everyone ok - we were tucked in safe in Lincoln.

More later.

Joe, does Matt just like the carrots? What about the roast beef and potatoes?!

Don't tell me he's one of these kids that likes broccoli and brussels sprouts[:(][:0][:p]

Speaking of Broccoli [:)] [:D] [:p]

Try this if you never have, cut up the broccoli into slightly larger than bite size pieces and add tons of butter, some salt and pepper and wrap in aluminum foil. Cook on the outdoor grill. I LOVE IT COOKED THIS WAY. Man it it sooooo good. And you can do the same with califlower and I think the califlower is even better. People tell me they don't like broccoli or califlower but will try this and eat it. The aroma is fantastic and the taste is knee slapping good. [:p] [:p] [:p] <Noah, you are getting hungry> [:D] I could live on these two things cooked this way. I also love mushrooms. On a pizza they are great, raw and dipped in ranch dressing is pretty good too. I like many vegies except squash. Now acorn squash baked with brown sugar and lots of butter is ok. But the boiled squash is nasty. <Noah, just lost his hunger> [:0] [B)] [:(]

PS. No trains run there.

Thanks Jay [;)]
After looking at the website, using Ayers Rock is quite a good example. Helps me get the overall picture. [:)]

Would there be other areas in the U.S. called "badlands" ? I seem to have some hazy memory of another area with that name in the south west area of U.S. [?]
Maybe Ed or mudchicken can comment on that...

Jim, why not skip work, and come for supper? I've got roast, potatoes, carrots and onions cooking on the stove (range).

I wish I knew what day this is, now days are numbers. This is day number 21 withOUT a day off. [:(!] [:(] [:(!]

I did organize a pot luck for work last night. The cafeteria is closed on weekends so it is usually everyone for themselves. We had a pretty good pot luck with tons of food left over. Today we will continue to finish off what we didn't eat last night. [:p]
