Is there something unique about the geography of the U.S. that causes so many? Dave (Kozzie) We probably really ticked someone off! Actually, we have a very active jet stream - and I think I read that this is what causes our "funny" weather. Hey Dave - what do the Aussie's eat for breakfast - anything really unusual? We need some new menu items! Mook [C=:-)] Quote from Coalminer: P.S. Had a friend who was in Sydney for the Olympics. He quickly developed a tolerance for vegamite. work safe OK Mook and Coalminer. Sorry for the delay, [:(] but don't forget, the time difference is something fierce [:0] - e.g. I'm getting this off before starting work Thursday morning and you lot are just wrapping up work Wednesday afternoon! I reckon what would be unusual for you lot, is us eating Vegemite on toast for breakfast. I know Peter (M636C) on another post has actually explained where ti comes from. Makes it sound pretty awful..[:0][xx(] .And for many "up over" folk, first time is a real shock! It's very much a savoury taste. An acquired one I guess... Eggs are pretty popular, if we want a bigger "brekky" e.g. bolied eggs in an eggcup, scrambled eggs, fried eggs with fired bacon....know we're really talkin!! Toss in a few fried tomatoes, and fried onions - heart attack food but boy, is it yummy! [:p][:p][:p] Then there are all the healthy brekkies - yoghurt, cereal, fruit and combinations of these. I think the big difference between "downunder" and "upover" breakfasts is that we tend to have more savoury breakfasts than sweet ones. I don't reckon many of us here would have doughnuts for breakfast. That would be more a thing we would have Morning Tea and Afternoon Tea. Still yummy though! [:p][:p] Ahhhh! [:)] Fresh, warm cinnmon doughnuts and a strong flat white!....[:p][:p] I've gotta stop taling about food.... ...has any of this helped??? [;)][:)] Dave (Kozzie)
